They could be going for a Tortoise and the Hare reference. Of course that doesn't make a lot of sense if the overarching moral is supposed to be related to the older sisters taking over what was supposed to be a fun race. I guess we'll have to wait till Saturday to find out what that's all about.

My biggest concern is we are seeing the return of over-protective AJ from "Somepony to Watch Over Me" in regards to Apple Bloom getting hurt in the race - an episode that was in my list of episodes I would like to disappear forever. If that's the case, this episode is going straight to the bottom of the list for Season 6 episodes. 

 

What's worse is if it's true, then this episode permanently canonizes this version of AJ, and she'll probably drop to the bottom of my favorite Mane 6 list, too. 

 

Overall, the whole premise of elders taking over a competition is such a tired plot device I was disheartened when I first read about it, and this clip didn't exactly cause me to change my opinion and endear me to the episode. Maybe it will be so hilarious it will overcome that issue, but... I'm skeptical.

I do find Applejack's cart funny. Just don't turn this into Applejack's "Day" Off, ok? Ed Valentine did write Flight To The Finish and Three's A Crowd, so I do have high hopes for his third writing appearance.

It's pretty clear that while this is supposed to be a chance for the Crusaders to be in the spotlight, their big sisters are trying to hog it for their own glory.

 

Let's see what happens when they race in the episode itself. This should teach Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack a little lesson in humility in regards to helping out Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo with the race.

Ed Valentine, I love you, but this preview makes me kinda worried... Every ep of season 6 looks like rolling dices with 5,6 as successes. it look like this ep will contain at least 1 dumb mane character. Please Ed, prove me wrong, slap my cynical ass, plzzzzz.

After seeing the preview, I'm looking forward to this episode. Each kart looks cool and gives me a Mario Kart and Wacky Races type of feeling. I also love the reaction the Crusaders get from what their sisters are planning. All in all this looks like it's going to be a good episode and I can't wait to see it.

I didn't watch the preview and won't because it could ruin it for me. Just judging by the thumbnails on youtube I suppose it's about the Cutie Mark Crusaders having some kind of issue and, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity the mirror ponies of them take it way too far into a competition against each other?
