I find that its talk about religion to me. I'm an atheist, but I straight up hate it when someone talks about their religion because 1) It makes me uncomfortable, as it's a very touchy topic that can easily ruin friendships by saying the wrong thing, 2) It just bothers me because I don't believe in anything (Atheist) , so I basically have to sit there and say nothing, because if i say anything against what they are saying it could be taken as an insult to their religion, and I never want to get into an argument about that. What do you find the most annoying thing someone can do?

It can certainly be awkward, but due to the nature of the subject and how important it is to some people, you just have to learn to deal with it, and how to avoid saying anything that would cause trouble.

 

I very recently had to do this myself. I really had to skate around the subject. The individual is very perceptive, so she might have seen through me still, but even if that was the case no conflict was ever created. I even went to their church once, and the teachings made me sick in how degrading it was to human accomplishment, but the only opinion they ever heard out of me was "That was strong". lol I REALLY had to bite my tongue, since this was an individual who changed my life drastically over the course of the last year, all because she was an incredibly kind individual who always put others before herself. I wanted so bad to tell her that everything she did for me was of her own doing and kindness, and not just "God's plan". ..But to make her happiest, I even got her a card which aligned pretty perfectly with what she believed.

 

I know it's hard, but these beliefs are still present, and sometimes we're put into situations where it's best not to fight it.

Ask for what they want, then "please" over and over if you say no. I had a friend who did that, and now I've lost contact with him except for Wii U which I ignore that he is on my friends list. It seems that lots of kids do that, which is why I'm not going to have children.

Honestly, my favorite approach to talking about religion is looking for those people who want to hear about it. Heck, there's plenty of people you won't even know what their stance is until you ask.

 

As for what I find most annoying... I think my siblings and I settled on making the same exact obnoxious noise repeatedly, like an alarm going off. After about 30 times it can make your skin crawl, especially when you're trying to do other things, haha.

Why do you label yourself as atheist? It's but a form of division and exclusion, for a perception which can't see beyond their own fears.

When they tell you how to live every single aspect of your life because they're unhappy with how others do things that are not their way. When they act like a baboon and stir up drama all in the name of it being a joke and trying to laugh their bad sense of humour off everytime. When they cannot talk to you like a human being, instead they talk to you as if you were a disobedient dog. These are a few, am sure there are many many more in the making.

What annoys me the most is when people talk down to me as if I'm some little kid who's somehow incapable of comprehending any form of "grown-up logic" (this is a good way to tick me off)

 

Another thing that annoys me is when certain people in my family belittle me for supporting this presidential candidate over this other candidate. Some of them have actually even resorted to name-calling and blocking/unfriending me.

I can't stand any form of unwarranted ego. If you're so great, why don't you back up your claims though action and accomplishment, rather than a vapid status update?. I can accept anything as long as you have the correct vessel to communicate your doctrines. A Facebook post does not cut it.

 

Ineptness of social observation is another big one. In a group setting, you should be more mindful of everyone else's state more than your own, and act once you're aware when someone isn't having as good experience as everyone else. They will appreciate you so, damn, much.

Hypocrisy annoys me, You can be any side you want, you can be neutral for all I care, but when you start condemning one thing while doing the same that's when It gets on my nerves .

When professors don't share their powerpoint presentations yet also require us to take notes while simultaneously listening to their lectures....

 

If they think it's so dang difficult and cumbersome to simultaneously write and teach that they choose to use technology to assist them then they shouldn't be hypocrites and condemn us for doing the same. For some professors It's come to the point where you have to choose between taking accurate notes or listening to the lecture because they move between slides so quickly. Now I know it's just a minor complaint and in fact there are many ways through or around it, but it doesn't change the fact that they're doing this.

I actually love talking about religion because it fascinates me how people can believe such things. I tend to keep my sarcasm to myself in such conversations, although it gets a bit difficult sometimes.

 

As for what I find incredibly annoying, parents using their parental powers to ignore any form of logic and common sense. I would say I hate hypocrisy in general but I've been known to be one myself, so eh. I also have a hatred for the sound of whispering, and sadly a lot of people seem to enjoy doing it. It just makes my skin crawl.
