What should the Season 7 Premiere be about?

A new villain would be nice, as long as he/she/it doesn't incapacitate Celestia and Luna with ease. The Worf effect is getting ridiculous at this point. The villain should have an interesting and unique motivation, like Starlight did in the season 5 premiere.

 

I hope the mane 6 solve the conflict together. It's been a long time since that has happened. Starlight could join in, as long as she gets to interact with either Spike or Trixie. She needs foil, otherwise she's not too interesting.

 

The two-parter should have a proper, neat ending for once. Why are they struggling so much with ending the finales and premieres properly? Just cut unnecessary scenes from the earlier parts so you have time to properly resolve the conflict and deal with denoument. Shouldn't be too hard.

 

The premiere shouldn't rely on some gimmick and should focus on telling a good story instead. Twilight's Kingdom relied too much on the DBZ fight and Cutie Re-Mark relied too much on time travel and alternate timelines. The last finale was a step in the right direction.

Yeah, I want an episode focusing on either the Royal Sisters or the Royal Family in general at some point.

Agreed, I'm with you there about getting fed up with the Worf Effect. The Season 6 finale is proof that having Celestia and Luna written to be so easily overpowered and captured is starting to work on the nerves of some Bronies, especially since this time it included Cadance, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, and the Elements of Harmony as well.

 

They need to have it done in a way that brings about a nice, clean resolution instead of simply rushing through it, cutting out scenes that can properly resolve the conflict, and squeezing everything in at the end as best they can.

Now that you mention it, the Crystalling Part 1 did take too long to reach the part where the Crystal Heart breaks.

I dont want any returning villains, I know Chrysalis has escaped and hungry for revenge, but she may return in another season or season 7 finale with her new "partner-in-crime". 

 

I dont like what they did in Crystalling, i love StarlightxSunburst plot, but they can just cut that part and make them an episode. I expect Crystalling will expand Alicorn lore, but in reality, they just introduce the new baby princess and then forget about her. I want to see the deep discussion between Celestia and Luna about the 1st born Alicorn and how it affects the future of Equestria, after 1000 years, an Alicorn was born, THAT SHOULD BE AN IMPORTANT PLOT.

 

Lesson: Dont try to cram 2 plots in one goddam 40-minute episode  . Every minute counts.

I think Scorpan might return! I mean, it's doubtful, but I don't have any better season premiere ideas. It'll set up for the finale where Chrysalis breaks Tirek out of prison to gain revenge on the ponies, and only Scorpan can stop him!

Well I wasn't expecting that Changeling twist at the end of the S6 finale either so nothing would surprise me. Plus they brought Sombra back in the comics, soo...why not? If the umbrum look anything like they do in those comics that would be pretty awesome. They were pure nightmare fuel. I loved them. XD I do expect Chrysalis to return for revenge at some point in S7 since it's so heavily implied.

This was actually the first thing I thought of after seeing the finale and it seems possible. But would Tirek betray Chrysalis once he regained full power, just as he did to Discord...or would she betray him first? I'm kinda loving the idea of the umbrum army now too. However...bringing Tirek back increases the chances of seeing Scorpan and I really want to see him make an actual appearance. I've loved him ever since Rescue at Midnight Castle. I also really wanna see him have a tea party with Fluttershy and Discord. XD

Then again! Maybe we'll get an entirely new villain...or another revamped villain from the 80s (Grogar plz!?)

Continuation of the Chrysalis revenge plot aside I also really hope the poor neglected (and easily captured) royal sisters get at least one or two good episodes in S7. I'd love to see more of their past or just a nice episode with them as the main focus. Seriously, make it happen already.

A new villain! Preferably a stallion. Someone that has a specific type of magic that is pretty much unknown to Equestria and he challenges Starlight (assuming Starlight is the focus). This could make for an interesting battle, a battle that I want Starlight to lose, because I want her to use her friendship lessons as her main weapon, meaning her friends help and they conquer evil. IT is fairly classic but to have an awesome stallion villain, that would definitely mix it up.

Call one of the Carmen Sandiego actresses like Janine LaManna. Create a master theif pony version of Carmen Sandiego who steals something really valuable in historic terms and leaves clues to the next location. Have Twilight Sparkle and co go on a wild chase all over Equestria.

That'd be nice, but I'm pretty sure that the show staff doesn't read comics. Not entirely sure, because I recall seeing a few references to the comics in the show. But even if they do read them, I don't think they'd be allowed to borrow entire stories from them.

 

Besides, maybe it's better if they don't do anything based on the comics. I remember a Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode that was based on a rather good comic and I didn't like the episode nearly as much. Adaptations always have problems :/

* NO MORE blasting bads guys because "friendship" and 'love" magic.  need more legit actions!(yes i  know friendship is magic but let not drag it) 

 

* Sunset shimmer coming over for a visit.

 

*Mane six saving the day again, where the 5  will save twi and starlight. Since i'm getting tired of the fives having to be rescue  over and over again while depending twi or starlight saving them.

A part of me wants them to follow up on Chrysalis vs Starlight right away, but It's probably too soon for that, save it for the finale. So I don't know just do something like the S5 premiere, new villain, new place starring the Mane 6.

Yes, that one. The arc wasn't a bad adaptation, but I remember having some issues with it. Not sure what exactly, it's been quite a while.

 

In general, adaptations are disappointing to those who know the source material. Which is why I'd prefer if MLP didn't do any comic adaptations.

Not sure, but it seems a bit early for Chrysalis to return in the premiere. It is still a possibility, which would be fine, though it would be nice to be unique with it too.

 

The Season Six premiere didn't have an antagonist, but obviously there would have to be some conflict. Due to Starlight having focus it seems likely she will have a part, or again be the main character/protagonist in the episodes. It would be nice like the finale to include her friends, like the mane six, Trixie, etc. to help her.

 

I am curious to see how Starlight is going. Hopefully they won't write her off as she has progressed a lot, and (I love her ) she is a well made character. (I probably should prepare for argument).

 

From the finale she will definitely be a part of it and not be written off in the premiere, though I don't know how it will turn out, as she might go off on her own, which I hope not, or at least have her appear often.

 

She is an interesting character, but I don't know what they will do with her. She could replace Twilight and the mane six with her own friends, be written off, or stay as the seventh mane six. I hope it would be the third choice, as I love both the mane six and her.

 

As for the rest of the plot I have no clue, other than what I can gather from the finale.

I don't know I actually felt that adapation was pretty solid, I think they added some stuff since they had to fill I think it was 4 ep arc right? but I like it a lot, as much as the comic.

Really the only comic arc I want to see adapted is Nightmare Rarity with MAJOR changes since i have no doubt the show staff could do it better than the mess it was in the comic and it's a really interesting concept in some ways, they just pulled it off badly.
