At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Kakegurui Twin. It was good but it sucks there were only six episodes.

I also watched Spy x Family, love this show :squee:

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

Attack on Titan. I am starting with the final season, and I was watching the intro. And here comes a little bit of a spoiler. But the opening shows the heavens and there are birds falling from the heights.

There is also the imagery of violence and war, represented with these clay figures. And then it shows the skies again, but the birds are titans now, falling to the earth.

And I was reminded of the nephilim mentioned in scripture. A word, which I believe means fallen. Genesis 6:4 King James Version - There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that. But the Young's literal translation replaces the word Giants with fallen ones. Which are the Nephilim.

I've been delving a little deeper into the past, searching for sites related with ancient civilizations, especially pyramids and ziggurats, both in dry land and beneath the atlantic ocean. Megalithic structures such as the pyramid of the Sun. A massive structure beyond the primitive tools of any native "human" civilization. Not possible, given our current paradigm.

I can see him, now. At least part of it. It was a rebellion, I fear. We were the monsters. We came down here and took from whatever we pleased. We violented and imposed ourself, we crushed the men and took the women. It was nothing like I had imagined. It was brutal. All the scars that humanity suffers to this day, the compulsions, the addictions, the pathologies, the genetic degenerations, the abuse, the trauma, the multiple incompatible blood types, the health issues. This illness that sickens the soul of the collective like a festering wound, causing so much suffering. Our doing.

We destroyed the earth; the fallen ones. All the problems humankind is suffering to this day. We corrupted this creation. I don't think there ever was a good intention. No promethean figure. No light bringer. We were just jealous. I was afraid to look in the mirror. Since the violence of the past is ingrained within myself. Burning anger. Bestial instinct. Raw power. To think something so terrible could be so beatiful in my eyes. I am constantly burning on the inside. Unconsciously violent and impulsive. And then there is the crippling guilt and the shame. The regret. The suffering.

They know. The people working on these types of productions know the story of humanity. There would be messages and symbolic imagery in movies, songs, all forms of media, everywhere, mixed within the fiction. And this opening is one example of this. A way they have to tell the story.

One Piece a couple of days ago. I've been binge-watching the dub version online and through Netflix for quite some time now and have reached the end of Dressrosa. Some have called me crazy for wanting to tackle such a long series but then this isn't my first time doing this. I went through it with Pokemon so it's natural that I would watch One Piece. Besides, I watched the infamous 4Kids version back in the day and wanted to see what Funimation's version was like.

Classroom of the Elite. I had a love/hate relationship with the first season, but I’m a lot more invested in the second one. Hopefully, it will get a third season. ^^

Drifting Home. I saw this on Netflix and liked it. It wasn’t perfect; in fact the writers left a lot to the viewers’ imaginations, but it was nicely animated, the characters were engaging, and it held my attention.

I recently watched Knights of Sidonia. It had some interesting concepts, but the series did not really involve me until the very last episode which had a nice character moment. There was a small number of memorable characters I was interested in following, but they suddenly reached a stasis of development fairly quickly. The action sequences seemed to be too frequent to consider other aspects of the world or story, except in season 2 where much of it became a simple love triangle story (in space!!) There were also some huge calamities that spanned an episode and were never mentioned again, with no evidence that they happened--this includes some character deaths. The main character experienced some challenges at first, but after a while he started coasting on his prodigious ability that was only semi-explained as genetic. The series was kept together by episodic cliffhangers. An interesting enough watch not to regret my time, but I wouldn't recommend it. I read it is an adaptation of a manga, so maybe that is told better. I did enjoy the animation style.

Akiba Maid Wars episode 10. I watch this show every week and I really love it. Without spoiling much the anime tells the Yakuza story but with cafe maids, it's like absolutely insane cartoon violence. The ending song has become my personal favorite and every time I listen to it I giggle because its just has such a massive shift in tone, I guess. When they sing the opening song the animation sequence never actually spoils anything that is going to happen in the show.

Jormungand right now. Pretty similar to Black Lagoon, which isn't a bad thing.

The first season of Strike Witches.

Decent enough story, nothing particularly complicated but done well enough, with lots of fan service. Some really great characters and whole bunch of fan service and plenty of really well executed action scenes all topped off with a heavy dose of fan service.

Did I mention the fan service? There's rather a lot of that. The war on pants never ends.

If you liked Girls Und Panzer then you'd probably like Strike Witches. The two are basically spiritual siblings with a similar tone and visual style, and that same slightly bizarre feel that manages to keep the whole thing fairly light, humorous and above all, fun. I'm led to believe the characters for both series were designed by the same person, which given the stylistic similarities would certainly fit. For this series though, the cuteness factor has been turned up to eleven by the girls propensity to sprout animal ears and tails when they're getting their magic on.

Unlike Girls Und Panzer though, this one is perhaps not quite suitable to be watching with your parents or younger siblings as there is a reasonable amount of partial nudity, a few fairly suggestive scenes and a just insane amount of vertical panning shots of the main characters just in case you somehow forgot that none of them are wearing trousers.

Ultimately, a pleasant way to pass a bit of time, and I'll definitely be starting season two soon.

Suzume. I re-watched this and it was better the second time around. There are lots of details that need to be absorbed to get to the bottom of what’s going on, and this second viewing helped me to get all that.

KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!

It's different from the other series, but I still enjoyed it. It's just nice having something after such a long time, especially with Season 3 being not too far away.

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too.   Its one of those guilty pleasure animes I picked up this season:derp:
