Due to my less than average hearing, always the front row near where the teacher usually stands.

I would always ask to be put in the front because my glasses were broken a good portion of high school. Though even when I had them I'd prefer being up front, but I was mostly set to the middle and back by the walls.

In front, whenever I could choose. :PIt was mainly because then it was easier for me to remember where I was supposed to sit – or at least I thought so, I didn't really have problems remembering even when I sat somewhere else...

If it wasn't assigned, front row.

Teacher never checks the front row.

You're away from the trouble makers. You're not behind the taller kids.

You're nearest the door.

And y'know, be upfront for learning, if the teacher was competent, the lesson plan engaging and the material useful.

Front Row if you want the best view and are trying to pay attention.

If you wanted to be left alone and have privacy, 2nd or Third Row. The teacher can barely see you and you're not drawing attention to yourself.

The back 100% of the time. If we were in a computer lab, it would always be the computers facing away from the teacher so that we could play games.

The front on most days, it's got the best view in the house and it makes recording lectures a lot easier.

The back, in the corner if given the choice. I'm 6'2, so I never went to the front by choice. But whenever seats were assigned it seemed that's always where I ended up, so I had to slouch a lot for the lot behind me.

I'm sitting at the first row just ahead of the board. The reasons are simple - I like being alone in class (the next row of pupils sometimes appear after a two row gap) and I'm concentrated... And I'm practicing immunity to social pressure better, because everyone in class see me cuddling my figure. So overall, by choice, not by accident.

When I was in junior high and high school, I tended to sit at the back because of not wanting to be noticed. Once I got to college, I tried my best to ensure that I was sitting at the front because of how large the class sizes were and the usual designs of the classrooms. If I wasn't successful, I'd sit in the back as there was nowhere else.

I sat at the back, as it was typically the most quiet, in addition for it being easier to avoid drawing attention to myself. I also had a tendency to get distracted, so being far from the teacher was an added benefit.

We were never given the choice where to sit though most of the time I was placed at the back which sucked cos I needed glasses but didn't have any back then XD

If it wasn't assigned seating, I tended toward the sides, two thirds of the way to the back. I liked being close to the door, but not under the scrutiny of the teachers or other students.

Until Highschool, it was always the middle of the class. Then I would always sit in the front or back, whatever was closest to the door.

I usually end up sitting on the side of the room near the door, especially if there are already lots of people in the classroom, so I don't feel like I'm stepping over anyone :P

I like to stay towards the front too so I get less distracted. Plus then I can see better, even with my glasses, my vision is something else :derp:

Usually on the side of the room near the center. Usually around the chatty people that wanted to be my friend. I would have liked more seats at the back of the class with other classmates who were also silent and anti social.

I always liked sitting in the back unless the teacher didn't like me and moved me to the front.

We always had seating charts at school (the other kids were always talking to each other and being disruptive), so I didn't always sit in the same places.

No wonder I was voted Most Shy at the prom and it was more than certainly a landslide...
