The Planet of the Apes Tim Burton remake

I'm curious. What are the 2 worst movies you'e seen in theater?

For me, worst is Transformers: last Knight by Michael Bay. Next is Transformers 4.

It amazes me they were able to make something worse than Revenge of the Fallen, twice

I saw a film called The Amazing Bulk and it was a really awful experience.

Watched it once in theaters. I don’t remember it well, but I found it boring, and the cliffhanger at the end didn’t help.

A few movies come to mind:

Dune- If the books were nearly half as good as my dad says, this movie is a total insult to them. The movie was a total bore at the beginning as it started at a crawl, and it ended in a storm of utter confusion as the latter half was obscenely rushed to the point that it was totally impossible to understand what was even happening. Plus, this movie had no characters I found compelling and I would rather tune out most of what they were saying than listen to the fluff they do say that is neither interesting nor important to the story.

Star Trek V: Final Frontier- YIKES. Just... Yikes. This is what happens when Bill Shatner, the chronically overrated actor that he is, gets to have a role in directing a Star Trek Film. you get the crew singing "Row Row Your Boat", a horrific plot that promotes creationism, and... This mess of a movie. The book was a travesty too, but the movie was worse. They missed out on the actually interesting parts of the original book. I mean yeah, there's a memorable line in this film that Shatner delivered quite well, but other than that, it's AWFUL.

Chicken Little- I think we can all agree this film was absolutely horrific. The movie is literally torture porn. It glorifies the hateful environment it's set in where the main character is actually bullied constantly by everyone including HIS OWN FATHER, and the quality of the animation was pretty poor for the time as well. Let's just say this film looks like Butt Ugly Martians compared to most of the great movies of that time like Madagascar. Madagascar's style does an amazing job of capturing the feel of the film, while this film just looks like it was done by very much a rookie animator who has no idea how to complement a movie such as Chicken Little with it's own style of animation, that looks crisp and clean (like Madagascar did).

Greta (2018)

What a shit movie. It's a thriller that tries to scare the viewer by making every character dumb as a rock. Not a single person in it is able to act normally.

Spoiler

Why did Frances' dad call a private investigator instead of the police?

Why did the private investigator not try to neutralise Greta before trying to free Frances?

Why didn't Erica think that perhaps Greta kidnapped Frances until the very end?

Why didn't Frances try to overpower an old lady?

Why did Frances run down into the basement when she was trying to escape? And why did she even attempt to climb through that impossibly small window?

Don't watch Greta. It'll make your brain hurt.

The Marine, the film debut of John Cena. Very paint by the numbers action with weird comedy choices, nonsensical twists and bland characters.

The latter would be The Last Jedi. That film failed on so many levels, from the contrivances to the failures in basic storytelling to the most forced of romantic sub-plots to even the nonsensical battles.

Too many to list....but I would say most of the half-assed comedy movies.

Here's another one:

Madea Family Funeral- By and far, the single worst excuse even for a BAD comedy film I and anyone else has ever seen. It is beyond unfunny, it's belligerent and even offensive. One positive I can note about this film is that it's the end of a saga of absolutely TERRIBLE films. None of the sex jokes are remotely funny, because they are so immature that I feel like it can't be funny by any metric whatsoever and they are so overdone and idiotically constructed that even somebody who's somehow never heard a sex joke once in their LIFE would agree with me.

Batman & Robin - Very campy, makes no sense, Chris O'Donnell plays a whiny baby and George Clooney plays George Clooney (not Batman/Bruce Wayne). Only real entertainment is Arnold and his ice puns.

After Earth - The script and acting are garbage. Will Smith is completely to blame for this bombing.

Lost in Space - Before Gary Oldman played Commissioner Gordon, he played hammy villains. Horrible acting from everyone.

Battlefield Earth - Scientology BS that makes no sense, brain dead villains, and horrible acting from John Travolta

Napoleon Dynamite was my absolute hated film. I get what it was and I get its dry, some what dark humor, but it wasn't funny nor was it good to not be able to tell what decade it was. It drove me crazy and the dryness of it was gag worthy. I also hated  the new Power Ranger movie. It was not good at all.

Chicago. I hate everyone in that movie, every single person. I don't care if that's the point, they succeeded far too well.

Movie 43. Just...everything about it is bad. So many big name actors, but the writing is so godawful and cringeworthy that it becomes almost physically painful to watch.

Wanderlust. It's boring. Dreadfully boring. As in, nobody is likeable and nothing happens.

Brimstone. This is actually the only one I saw in the theater, and I had to stop myself from walking out. The sets were good, the actors were good, the camerawork was good...but the writing was stupid. Everyone behaved like they'd been lobotomized. Seriously, the entire conflict in the movie could have ended almost immediately, but because of massive idiocy on the part of the characters it just kept dragging on. Absolutely horrible movie, and a waste of very good actors, set builders and film crew.

I don’t normally go out of my way to watch bad movies. Unless they’re the type of film that is “so bad it’s good”. I often find those types of movies more funny than actual comedies.

Some of the worst are: The Room, Plan 9 From Outer Space, and every single movie made by Neil Breen.

I agree. My fave bad films are those, and Cool Cat Saves the Kids.
