I think it was the most recent episode out when a friend of mine told me to give the show a watch after much hesitation. It was pretty good and Twilight's antics won me over but I thought Spike had an annoying voice at first. Went on to watch season one and catch up to watch "A Canterlot Wedding" love, Gak ads and all.
