Nope. I'm pretty big (1.9m and 94kg), I'm strong, and I've been told I look like I'm angry a lot so I'd probably fit the requirements at first glance, but in all honesty I'm a coward - unless the person I'm protecting is someone I care about a tremendous amount then I'd just run at the first sign of danger. Not risking my life for someone I barely know just because he/she pays me.

I worked as a loss prevention specialist for a brief period. Wore all black, patrolled the store every so often, checked the occasional bag. Felt cool when the mall security nodded at me.

I guess it depends on what's expected of me ultimately, but I think I could do something a little more serious if needed.

I wasn't given anything more than what any other employee had, but I kept a short staff on hand that I'd twirl out of boredom and intimidation, but also because I could lean on it through the hours of standing.

I'm too short and out of shape. But I would never be a guard unless I could carry a gun. I'd wear level 3A body armor. I'd carry a sub machine gun and a 45 side arm. I don't need long range. My job is to lay down cover and get the VIP to safety.

Doing security requires a lot of scouting. If a VIP is going to visit a place then people go there ahead of time and plan it. There are logistics and technology involved.

I am terrified of violence and flee the scene as fast as possible as soon as I hear so much as a raised voice, so that would be a negatory.  Throughout most of history, the measure of a person's worth (and in this case we're basically talking about men) was their ability to face physical danger and violence without flinching.  Cowardice has traditionally been the greatest sin one could commit in many cultures, even if it's just a case of wisely avoiding needless danger.  I personally think that mindset is stupid.  There are more important character traits, especially in today's world, than not backing down from a fight.

Absolutely not! 1. I am a pacifist and don't want to harm anyone and I hate weapons. and 2. I am somewhat fragile, weak, and too easily tired from my chronic illnesses.

There’s no realistic way I could ever be a bodyguard; I don’t possess the strength or the fortitude for it. If I somehow was a bodyguard I’d want to have tons of armor (since Medieval times were mentioned in the opening post) and I’d have to have weapons that I could physically carry, so no heavy swords, but maybe a bow and arrows, or a dagger…or maybe a tiny little machine gun. (Okay, so I’m going outside of theme here, but this is survival!)

well i was a PMC state side  and when i started they gave me 3A vest, glock 19, and a pump 12ga shotgun. It was ok, but we were protecting just boats and things like that(if you could steal a 100 foot + boat and get it out to sea well have at it.)   if i had my loadout as a PMC it would be a sig 229 with a FNH p-90 for vip and sig spear in 7.62x39 for war zone.  medieval/ fantasy worlds bow with german/ middle east sword(forgot there names) and some middle east armor on me.

When I was younger I worked as a police cadet/guard and helped arrest people, so I think I could do a guard job even now.

My body is frail. So, something involving theatrics would be a better fit for me. Since I have a tendency to surprise attack. I could be a jester-type character, then.

About my loadout. A blade long enough to reach an artery is all I need. Something that I can wield like an extention of my own body. I've been thinking about the perfect knife for me, actually.

Imagine a knife exclusively made for reverse grip, with an ergonomic handle that can be wielded in a clenched fist, and a blade shaped like a shark fang. That would be my ideal knife. Something that allows me to use my fists, and is intended for very close combat. Of course, this is in a game setting.

Edit: Hahaha. Sorry, I meant tooth. I don't think sharks have fangs. But I started with a wolf. And it was very late in the night. Also, apparently, the knife already exists. It is called a skallywag tactical. Perfect for a mischievous rascal like myself. And there is actually a youtube video titled "The perfect knife?".
