I think 4chan is alright. I mean, it's the birthplace of the bronies. Of course, I'm sure that at the time, it was more of a troll thing but it eventually caught on and turned into this. 

 

4chan is the birthplace of many thing on the internet. 

 

At the same time, the average IQ of 4chan is about a solid 60. So yeah, I don't lean either way with 4chan. I usually don't play around on 4chan but I do enjoy some of the things that come out of 4chan.

I think bronies was 4chans swan song and frankly I believe it was a troll thing gone awry. All kids cartoons got the memetic makeover on 4chan. Reddit has replaced 4chan imo.

And trust me reddit us just as bad,ie looks at least 10 years old and is focused on forcing crap into infamy, and of course there are the trolls.

4chan to me is like a place where everyone is on edge and playfully vulgar. Random posts of unsettling images, the vast amount of Anonymous', it really is a horrible place. Apparently it's where memes come from.

 

But on some occasions you get scenarios like these.

I post semi-regularly on /mlp/. It's not nearly as bad as some people say. Some of the threads are weird, though, also there are quite a few people who could care less about feelings as stuff. Don't go on /b/ if you are easily offended by porn, insults or other random crap. I don't go on /b/, but I've peeked around and it's not the type of place I'm comfortable being. Oh yeah /co/ is definitely not as bad. I haven't been on any other boards, though. I mostly just mess around on 4chan.

Well, whether we like it or not, it's where bronies came from, and we gotta respect them for that. I've been there many times before and it's a place for people to be complete assholes and not get called out for it. Which is a good thing! Socially acceptable people can vent their socially UNACCEPTABLE things there, and the assholes can just be assholes on that site only (in most cases). It's pretty funny there and a lot of green text stories (you'll see what that is if you go there) that are outright HILARIOUS! It also has many memes exclusive to it (e.g.Spaghetti and sage, although sage is also a function). Also, 9/11 jokes and clopfics galore, so expect to get offended a lot in the early stages. There are a lot of funny and good things on it too, so give it a chance. However, if you are offended easily, DO NOT GO ON IT!! They offend just about every group there is out there. So before you go on, remember, it's not all love and tolerance over there like it is down here! So if you don't get too offended, and make it through the initial stages of shock at the content(dont worry at least no r34 pics on the /mlp/ board) then welcome to the club ! Different people have different opinions though and a lot of people (understandably) hate 4chan, so don't expect to definitely enjoy it. If you don't like it after the first few days or weeks, don't force yourself to go on. it won't be worth it. Trust me. So anyways, good luck!

Never been on 4Chan, but what I've heard, It's kind-of a worse version of tumblr. It has It's weirdos, weird things, and grossness. If you can't handle even a glimpse of something generally regarded as triggering, then don't venture there. It's simply a place where anyone can almost post anything and almost always get away with it.

I don't really like 4chan nowadays. It's just another shithole. Sure something good comes out of there, but its always every 5 or 10 years that happens. It's not worth it sticking around on that site with the worst insults around, and the humor and talk the people use on there use is just awful. The memes that come out of there (RickRoll, Doge) are pretty much short lived. Doge is definitely the worst, but I think that RickRoll will always be around.

Doge is a Tumblr meme, and Tumblr is the exact opposite of 4chan. Just sayin'.

I just said the overall weirdo concept was similar. Not the whole thing at all. Tumblr's a blogging website, and 4Chan's a forum. I get the difference. All I'm saying is that is those people who feel like posting virtually anything they choose. Now I know that's fact about 4Chan and tumblr.

I'd actually say Tumblr is worse than 4chan but that's just my opinion.

 

 

4chan itself isn't really bad, /b/ is the only one that's really notorious and even then it's honestly no where near as bad as it's put out to be.

It's always been a love hate realtionship and it always will be. 4chan is really just kind of a place for social outcasts and or beings with socially awkward or subpar communication skills, go to say all the things they wouldn't have the balls to say if they weren't saying it anonymously. Some of the jokes and memes are rather humorous but then at that note some of the things they have done are what I would consider malcious troll attacks, rather than a troll feast or merely feeding the trolls. They have went as far as shaming victims of suicide, vocalizing racial intolerance, and anonymously spewing hate filled remarks in direct regards to things that are beyond a trolls comprhension on what is or coud e serious or a touchy subject. Anyways it has brought many genuine and also "fake" bronies, to the fandom, and I guess you could say made the internet more aware to the existence of the extensive and rapidly growing community. At that, 4chan funny idea, the people that use it, masked and insecure internet trolls that are sexually and emotionally repressed, and escape a reality they fail in by pointing out the overrall fails in todays society.
