How Many Season Will MLP: FiM Last?

I mean we have not heard ANY news of a season 5 yet.  We knew 100% that Season 4 was going to happen by the first week of November last year.  The financials do not seem to have that information this time around...

 

Could this be the end of FiM?

We won't know until later in the season. It is way to early, season 4 just aired yesterday. Maybe in a couple of months we might start to see something relating to season 5.

If season 4 is the last season, it might be the ending of Generation 4 and Begining of  Generation 5. MLP is a old show, it has a tottal of 4 Generations,might get more due to the Fandom :3

Can we not do this every five months or so?  I'm getting tired of baseless fears of the show's cancellation.  Ask yourself these two questions:

1. How would cancelling MLP benfit Habro?
2. How would the continued airing not benefit Hasbro?

Unless you can answer both those questions, there is no reason to believe that Hasbro would cancel the show.  They have NO history of prematurely cancelling good shows, because they aren't run by idiots.

Becoming an Alacorn could have very well been the end of the show as well. the box and key thing. get the last key lets say 3 episodes before the end of the season. (saving the last 2 for a big adventure where they need the new elements or what ever is in the box.) ending on a high note but leaving the door open for season 5.

From my understanding, Hasbro owns all the licenses and rights to My Little Pony and The Hub Network. I don't think they have to "buy" seasons, they only thing they have to pay for is the copyright licenses, the production studio, and other things.

Yeah, I've had those same worries as well, but honestly there is no good reason for them to cancel this show. It is still the most popular show on the Hub, Hasbro is still getting a crazy amount of money from this, and it would be stupid to cancel it. For right now, lets just enjoy season four, and not worry about season five until once this season is over. You'll miss the present if you worry about the future, and I know you want to enjoy this show while we still have it.

I do have to say that i feel the feelings of it being the last season, but not really for announcement reasons, just the feel to the episode and how they come back to stuff, how everything takes place a year after, it just has that resolving feel to it..(episode is still awesome though.)

 

Is it really the last season? Really who knows, i suppose it has to end sometime, so its always possible, but we don't know.

 

However i think it is to early to say totally for sure if were going off announcements, or probably just in general.

 

If it does it does, if it doesn't it doesn't, not alot we can directly do either way really.

I understand your concerns, I also have jade that feeling, but it's still too early to tell.

And Besideds while the fandom did slow down these past 9 months it did not by all means go away or fade.

So even if I is the final season, people will still be around.

And another reason why they may not cancell it yet is the fact that from a business perspective it generates revenue, do not a good idea, buy then again we never know. Though they are marketing there products more an expanding so that may be a sign of not slowing down soon.

That's not something I can give a true positive or negative answer to, but, what I can say is that if it does happen we have a long ways to go. The ending of the season four premiere revealed something, an entirely new thing, that has yet to be discovered. Take that in addition to what they showed at BronyCon, (the normal episodes that don't have anything to do with this new artifact) and all in all season 4 is looking like a long one. Don't forget, only in previous episodes were the mane sixes dreams and desires touched upon, such as Rainbow in the Wonderbolts Academy. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems likely to slowly enter more detail in those dreams. I could most certainly be wrong though. But the point is is that we gave quite some time before season 4 ends, so I wouldn't worry about this too much.

there's something everybrony can do to help the show survive. it's a very important thing but an easy one to do.

simple and will show your dedication to the show in a meaningful way. its watch the show and its repeats.

Guys, this is Hasbro we're talking about. They're going to run this show into the ground so bad, we will be begging for them to make G5 before they're done.

Every fan base from fighting to games, thinks it's all doom and gloom and the end times are nigh.

No if yu keep saying "it's dying" " you don't get to be right when it's 2-3 years from now.

Is it the final season?  I don't know.  But even if it is, I think I'm okay with it. All good things come to an end.  I'd rather have the show go out strong (which, if the premiere is any indication, is still the case) than have it limp into a 5th or 6th season.

 

Either way I wouldn't worry about it too much, though.  Just be patient for any announcement; this kind of thing is out of our hands anyway.

On a positive note:  Too much money;  not likely to end.

 

On a negative note:  They've mutilated the show to the point where many of us have little interest in watching anymore.  Unless this season is damn-good I'm going to take an extended hibernation.The fact that they pretty much defeated the purpose of the show in the first place by ascending Twilight to godhood makes me doubt that the show will go on for much longer though.

I doubt it will be the last season, especially since MLP is practically a cashcow at the moment, and as a company, Hasbro loves money. Plus, they wouldn't announce a possible season 5 till later on, I doubt they would announce it when season 4 has only just begun.
