A variety of things. One other message board I was on had a MLP:FiM thread, but since I never really went into the "TV Shows" section of the forum I didn't bother checking it out. Some people had pony related avatars and signatures, but I never really thought anything of it. Didn't hate, it just didn't garner my interest. Pretty much the same situation with when I saw Black Ops emblems with MLP. Though I did think at that point Rainbow Dash (obviously didn't know her by name at the time) looked kinda cool. Then I began encountering MLP more in terms of internet memes, and even though I wasn't familiar with the show I kinda went along because I still managed to get the humor in them.

 

Then a few weeks ago I finally decided to give the show a watch, and as the saying goes "the rest is history..."

I'm not entirely sure, but I've come down to a few possible answers (according to memory and youtube history)  I think that It was listening to Party With Pinkie by Alex S. but according to youtube history, it was General Mumble's Not That Kind of Party (I disbelieve this, because there is a removed video in between that and a different vid that could've been a non Alex S upload of the song.)

Something on minecraft forums (actualy lots of things) I just ignored them and didn't get the references. It occurred to me a few days ago that I actualy remember seeing brony related stuff on it like a year ago. (What I find to be even more weird is that I've been lurking that forum for over a year and don't have an account.)

It was about the time when I went to 4Chan. I kept seeing pony images and pony threads. I didn't really think anything of it at the time except maybe something along the lines of "what a bunch of weirdos"

 

Then sometime later I decided to check it out... And the rest is history!

Hmm... first thing I saw was actually on the show MAD where they did the My Little Pony/War Horse mashup/parody. At first, I thought it was stupid (I've never really liked the show anyways) but now I think it's a nice tip of the hat to bronies.

 

I didn't become affiliated until someone posted the first season on a forum I was on. Curious, I decided to see what the big deal was, then..... Well, you can guess the rest.

Playing TF2 in one of my regular servers, another regular joins puts up a pony spray and micspams some pony remixes.

At the time I was like "meh, thats alright I guess." decided to look into mlp abit more and well was hooked ever since.

I don't think it was Gen 4, but a couple years ago I was at my friend's house, and his sister had some MLP stuff in her room. I pretty much hated it then, as I discovered how awesome it was only last summer, so I made up a little jingle. "My little pony, a bunch of bologna (baloney)!"

As I said in my other post, I was first exposed to ponies on 4chan. However I didn't really care about it at the time. The video that really made me interested in the show was this one.

 

After seeing that video I started to visit the MLP thread on another forum I was on and I got progressively converted from there.

The first MLP:FiM related thing I saw may sound a bit strange to some, but I discovered the show through one of cs188's YouTube Poop videos one night when I was doing some website maintenance.

 

The title of the video is a bit iffy to be posted here in full, but that eight minute video which included Fluttershy deciding to crash (Windows Error) while cheering and three remixed television commercials including a Geico ad with a good sentence splice or two had me in stitches and laughing like crazy.

 

Initially I didn't pay much attention to the video at the time, but I kept coming back to it enough to convince me that this show may not be so bad after all.

the first thing that i saw that was MLP related was the galla episode on youtube. I was just like O.o when i saw it on the side of youtube, but being open minded i decided to watch it. then i went to ep 1 and was hooked.

Well, the video is down, but the first MLP thing I saw was a PMV for the show Psych. The anitmation looked really good, so I looked farther into it. A year later, here we are!

I have an interesting story. I had (and still have) a friend that watched MLP (you know who you are), and he kept bugging me about it.

So, one day when I was at his house, he had me read this one fanfic called "Cupcakes".

 

Yeah.

 

Then he decided to have me read the clopfic "Pinkie is a Stallion". Trust me, don't read it.

 

 

After that...experience...it took me a while to watch any of the epidodes. You can see why. But, after watching episode one of the first season, I was hooked.
