How open are you about ponies?

I actually made a youtube video where I actually said I was one and how that happened, but aside from while I don't go out of my way to tell everyone I don't go out of my way to hide it either. I don't really care who knows and if haters want to hate then that is their problem, most of the haters don't even bother to actually watch the show before they render their judgment anyway.

I'm pretty open about it. I mean its the banner thingy on my facebook.

But I don't have a lot of merch, I only recently bought a badge with Pinkie's cutie mark and a t shirt so its not like I can really advertise it overly lol.

Then again most of the t-shirt designs I see are too over the top for my liking. I quite like them to be subtle like this one;

or funny like this (I drink cider a lot :P );

ok for some reason the first one doesn't work when you click on it :(

i'm as much open about ponies as i am anything else i like, i don't bring it up unless the it a topic or anything else that allows me to bring it up that way i don't annoy people who are not bothered.

but i do have a MLP key chain and i play with MLP mini figs when i go out drinking and happen to get bored.

I'm proud to be a Brony, but I am kinda shy when it comes to telling others. Although saying that, I did get 2 of my friends into the show, which is awesome. My brother knows aswell but he's cool with it.

I want to be more open, but like others have said, People in my school are just too Immature to understand it http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

I'm pretty open about it, my friends judged me at first, but now they're just used to it. I don't talk about it non-stop, they know about my obsession and I mention it every now and then, like when the new season comes out, or when a new episode comes out, but other than that, I just don't talk about it.

I'm pretty open about it. I only bring it up when it's relevant, though.

I remember once when the teacher asked everyone what their favorite shows was. I said MLP and got a couple of laughs. No fucks given tough, and no one really gives a shit.

Im pretty open about it, although I only share my love for the show when the situation arises. I usually don't talk about it as im typically too busy with physics stuff, but I do occasionally use a quote from the show. Mess up on a physics equasion and get the wrong answer, it's definitely Derpy's "I just don't know what went wrong!" The only people I think that actually know are either my friends or other bronies who overhear a quote.

A quick update: I was extremely closed about it before, but after the past few weeks I've been more open, open as in I don't try to hide my phone screen in public, I would not hesitate to wear shirts in school and I now talk to other bronies about it without without trying to be quieter in public. I even got dragged into a pony raid this weekend so I guess that's pretty open xD

With ponies, I am extremely closed. Only my sister knows about this for the moment, since she likes ponies as well. The only time that other people know about this is by my sis blurting out that I like ponies.

I do hide it a little, but I won't go crazy if someone were to find out. I sometimes encourage my friends to see some of my Pony art on DeviantART. I also really like it that a non-brony (Such as my Friend) can put aside the fact that I like My Little Pony and still call me his friend.

Actually, at school, while we were carving oreos (Don't ask), I drew a picture of my OC (See left) After that, I'm pretty sure at least 5 or 6 classmates are beginning to realise my Brony-ness. Also, That drawing on the oreo is going to be posted in the School's Newspaper. That'll be something, revealing my Bronyism to the entire school before I reveal it to my parents and siblings.

About once every week, I wear a pony shirt from Hot-Topic to my school. I found two other bronies also wearing pony shirts. We talked a little about the show and our favorite ponies, but the sad thing was that they were freshmen, and I'm a junior. Yeah, I guess you could say I'm open about it.

Well everypony, I've just been 'outed' as a brony - to friends, family and everyone I work(ed) with - in the most painfully embarrassing way possible! YouTube suddenly decided it was sharing all my actives with Twitter and was tweeting every pony video I was adding to a playlist which I was going to leave as private. Sometimes when Google make a change, the YouTube account share has gone a bit funny, or changed my settings, but never with quite these funny consequences!

I only noticed this morning, when I let out Fluttershy-style squeek after realising that a friend I used to work with had even at-replied one of these auto-tweets! I'd been so busy with work these last couple of days that I hadn't had a chance to check my Twitter timeline...turns out I've been sharing *EVERYTHING* from the awesome 'Ballad of the Brony' documentary through to all the mashups and fan-made stuff (some of which is really cool btw, like the DJ Pon-3 and Octavia documentary about them living together!)

But the best part is, I recently moved companies, so all of the great friends I used to work with, (along with former managers) and also the staff of where I now work are probably painfully aware of my dark secret.

I'm now thinking that a public blog post may be the way to go - in an attempt to manage some of the PR fallout. Goddamn it! I knew people would find out eventually, I just imagined I would have more control over how the information got out there in the first place. Hahaha, what a total idiot I am!

But I guess times like this when you come out to people (for anything) you quickly learn who your real friends are. I think my letter to Celestia is going ot be quite a long and complex one today.

Hehe, well ponies are cool anyway :)

I'm so open! I'm like you, I'm not just going to be random about it, but if it ever comes up, I express my love for the show! I feel like it might be unfair for the boy bronies out there. :( I am a 19 year old young woman with cute little quirks and I am super bubbly and charming, so my love for the show comes off that way. It comes off as something innocent and fun for me, the same way nerf fights are for my boyfriend. LOL But for you proud male bronies out there, my hat is off to you. I respect that some of you are so unafraid of others opinions. And I can understand why you wouldn't want to outwardly express your joy that comes from the ponies! It must be hard, with all the social slander that can come of something so sensitive! I am proud to be apart of this wonderful group of people, and I feel like everyone should. Even if you are not comfortable with expressing it in real life, you should always feel welcome here. :)

I love love love Pinkie Pie! But every pony rules! :)

I wasn't so sure at first, but now I have a pony as my profile picture on Facebook, so no, I'm not secretive about it at all.

And if I did have a pony shirt, I'd wear it around all the time. Just in the hopes that I'd walk into some fellow Brony and they'd be all "OH MAN YOU LIKE PONIES TOO!?" and we'd get to talk about it, and ah, that would be so much fun! ^.^

I often quote it, and sing songs in of ponies in the outernet, and elsewhere on the internet I use pony videos of a character saying a line to respond to stuff.

Sure, some people think it's bad, but it's not. I don't really even want to be liked by someone if they hate someone for liking good show. :)

Also, those reactions can be kinda funny. xD

ive only told a few people that i know, and all the girls throught it was sweet. the guys.... well... theres been some looks lol. MLP as a guilty pleasure isnt nearly as bad as some of the things people enjoy, so ill stick with cute pony shows.

Very open. The only people who don't know are my parents, but I'm going to tell them sooner or later. I DO own a Twilight shirt, but I doubt they actually know what bronies are, or that they actually exist...
