How open are you about ponies?

I don't really care if people know about me being a fan, but I don't just go around telling everyone "Hey, did you know I like to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?" However, if someone brings it up in a conversation and I have to tell them, I will (For example, if someone mentions that they don't like how so many fans push the show in others' faces, I usually mention that I'm a fan and that I agree with them).

I'm getting really open, for my own standards. I just got some MLP:FiM mods for World of Tanks, and Seraphim says that he, I, and a few others should go to Hot Topic and get some pony merch soon.

And I want to. X3

Is it really that many fans that even do that? I swear they must be exaggerating  As I've brought up before, I've had people shove everything in my face, from The Walking Dead to football, and nopony ever complains about them shoving it into their faces.

Gah, I just feel like people are exaggerating that. Even Bronies I know in real life don't run around talking about it all the time. I hang out with one of my very close friends who's a Brony and we rarely even talk about the show, even when alone with each other. Perhaps it's more prevelant on the Internet, but most times that I see a fight break out over it is because a hater made fun of a person with a pony avatar or something.

I dunno, I just don't see it. I understand if it was a widespread phenomenon, but I feel like that's just part of a stereotype of Bronies now.

Ive told my family and they really don't care that much. A few of my friends know and they are cool with it. I am somewhat open about it in school although im not gonna just go up to some and say that I watch MLP. I am insanely open about it on twitter as over half my tweets are mlp related. I also have some pony merch too which I wear regularly!

Here's my answer: If you asked me "You like My Little Pony?", my answer would be "Yes I do! Gen 4 to be exact, I honestly don't give a shat about the others." fWw60oj.png

Ah, I'm unsure... Like, I don't mind people knowing as long as they don't judge me (which is kinda hard). On the other hand, if I had a nice brony T-shirt (Rainbow Dash mandatorily), I'd totally wear it.

(PS: It's not like I'm craving a T-shirt or anything... Like I know I'd really really really really like it, and I just can't wait for when I finally have one, but I'm pretty sure I have enough patience.    ...Right?)

I won't be a complete brony until I get a Thunderlane plushie and go to a convention.

If that's your gauge on how open you are about ponies, then you probably shouldn't share it. People will judge you for anything, and ponies are a huge target. Not saying it's right though...

But if you're rocking a swaggalicious Rainbow Dash t-shirt, then the haters' comments will just bounce off of you because you're too gangsta to be affected by them.

I don't have a t-shirt just featuring Rainbow Dash right now either, but believe me, I'd love one too!

Well at school I wear pony shirts (not every day, on some days I wear video game shirts), I will listen to pony music on my ipod but with headphones on, I have pony buttons on my backpack. When people ask if i like My little pony I go "yeah" or show them the buttons or the shirt and say "What do you think?" When I'm bored I'll randomly say a line from the show. I'll even sometimes show people a meme or two but not to the point where it's forcing it down their throats.

Forgot to mention me and my sister are both bronies so we fanfic and discuss it over facebook message since she's at college.

I like to subtly reference the show a lot and sometimes I find out some of my friends are already bronies. I always share brony music with people, and that turns out successfully. Generally if it comes up I'm not afraid to admit anything

I am quite open. I am one of those people who doesn't care what others think, because it doesn't matter anyways. Does wearing a pony shirt, wrist band, necklace, wallet with lanyard, and buying bunches of pony merchandise count as being open? That, and I have it on my profile somewhere on most sites now.

Ha, no way, you're not open until you get a cutie mark tattooed onto you!

*Takes a puff on pipe and smiles coyly*

Just kidding around. But it's awesome that you're wearing so much pony swag at once... you're like a walking pony party, my friend!

I don't promote it but I don't hide it either lol. If someone asks me or brings it up I will tell them. I am more than happy wearing pony related shirts etc. Doesn't really bother me haha

Well I've never been asked about being a brony so I've never said anything. If the subject was brought up though, I'd be completely open about it.

Well lets see, yep I'm pretty much need to know basis on that subject. I get the feeling I would get severely judged by most of my friends. Only my brony brother knows about me because he was the one who got me into the show.

I feel like I have the urge to say challenge accepted, but then I remember that I'm an Introvert so I would fail that challenge

I'm really open about the whole Pony thing. I was subtle about it at first, but a majority of the cat was out of the bag when I held up a sign with ponies during our senior class group picture.

It was only  few months later when people found out I was dead fricking serious. One of the more popular guys in school asked if he could use my phone real quick. He takes a look at my ponified wallpaper.

"Wait, you're seriously a fan of My Little Pony?"

[in a completely stone cold voice] "I've never been more serious in my life."

And that's the story of how no one ever bucked with me ever again.

It's hard for me to be open about it because I don't know if the person I'm telling will stomach it well enough. I only tell people who I think could be bronies, or if they can handle unsuspecting news well.

Somewhat open. I've never talked about my interest in My Little Pony, nobody has ever asked or even noticed anything about my love of the characters demonstrated by the Rainbow Dash wallpaper on my desktop and the Cutie Mark Crusaders wallpaper on my smartphone.

I answer if people ask about it, and if I know someone is a hater or gets annoyed at pony fans I rub it in their face and annoy the hell out of them because I am a terrible person. I don't flaunt it though, and I think its a bit silly to. The most I'd do is maaaaaaaaybe wear a subtle T-shirt in public or something, but I don't have one so its not gonna happen.

Heh, you know, I've seen a lot of folks say that rubbing it people's faces is counter-intuitive  but hey, if they started hating or brought it up first, it's fair game in my opinion.

By the way... your avatar greatly amuses me.
