Unbelievably unhealthy food would be one.

Another one would be certain songs in genres I don't usually like, or by artists I don't usually like.

I also enjoy that, although for me that's hardly a guilty pleasure. I just openly enjoy it, much like MLP.

Well, since being a brony is not really a "guilty pleasure" on these forums, Id have to say mine is Runscape. Ive been playing that game since I was 6 years old. So, ive been playing that game for about 14 years.

Am I the only person who's bothered by the term "guilty pleasure"? It's not a huge deal, it's just always puzzled me. If you have fun with something, why is there guilt? Because of what other people think? To hell with 'em. You're enjoying yourself.

That being said...

I do have a couple of hobbies/interests that I'm not forthcoming about because it would take too long to explain. Ponies and the drawing thereof is one of them. Listening to Nicki Minaj songs every now and then is another. And eating amazingly unhealthy food while I have a very athletic family is another. That last one is probably my biggest vice, I will follow the scent of fried chicken fingers off a cliff. ;__;

Although the music thing bothers a lot of people, lol. xD I'll listen to anything once, I've got nineteen different Spotify playlists. It's kind of insane. But I prefer music that moves me, something that gets me dancing and grooving around my kitchen--remixes are especially good for that.

Back when the TV show was on, Honey Boo-boo LOL. I liked to laugh at the family for being so strange. My current guilty pleasure is 19 Kids and Counting. (I need to get a life...)

I've merged your threads with much older threads about guilty pleasures. In the future please do a quick search before starting a new topic to see if the one you want to create already exists. Thanks!

As for my guilty pleasure...Ungh. I really like the song "Call Me Maybe". Also games where playing dress-up is part of a primary mechanic. Final Fantasy 10-2, Fantasy Life and the worst, and most embarrassing...

Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball. The first one. The second one the boob mechanics were too distracting and just...strange.

I have the strange addiction to match episodes of MLP with Metal music, I have accumulated a lot of files that I named "MLP Unifitting Music" and I seperated them into seasons, as of now I have over 200 files of Sony Vegas projects contained the mashups.

I'm weird I know...

I love visiting 4chan and saving as much fan art as I could. Not to mention seeing others in 4chan argue... I'm weird. :P

Also, junk food. It's unhealthy and I'm trying to stay away from it these days, but sometimes I just couldn't resist.

TV: Any kind of reality TV show. I am well aware of how stupid and shallow they can be, but I often find them entertaining nonetheless.

Music: Some of the more violent stuff by D12, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, etc. I know it's bad shit and I probably shouldn't listen to it but sometimes I feel like it just understands how horrible I can feel. And it doesn't judge me for it. It just allows me to feel my feelings until they run out of steam.

Films: Most Lars Von Trier films, Tarantino films, and anything heavily involving torture or other forms of graphic, gratuitous, senseless violence. Similar story to the one for music.

Books: Anything by Vonnegut. Depressing as hell but angry and sarcastic in a way that just feels so satisfying sometimes.

Robocop.

Now some of you might raise your eyebrow at this because that movie is considered very good. Thing is, I have a very different definition of what defines a "guilty pleasure" than most. After all, many would call this show absolute crap but we obviously find great meaning and enjoyment in it. So from their perspective, it is a guilty pleasure even though we would say it's not.

The usual definition is "something you know is bad but you enjoy it despite it's glaring flaws." Thing is for me, irony is anathema. If I enjoy something, it's because I genuinely think it's good. For instance most people would call the Transformer movies a guilty pleasure if they enjoy them, but I'm sincere in that I think they are good movies. Not the best, but they're up there in terms of my favorite adaptations of the franchise. I certainly like them better than the G1 cartoon. (Save for the movie, that's absolute gold.)

Now Robocop, on the other hand is a very good movie, one of the best, however it's message is in direct opposition to everything I stand for. It demonizes the private sector, has advanced A.I. be either lethally shoddy, useless, or a tool of evil, and depicts the struggle of man vs. machine as opposed to the transhuman union of such.

Judge Dredd and Dredd both. The former not for the reasons you think but both for similar reasons to the above. Both movies depict the centralized public and government authorities as being ultimately in the right and liberty and the individual as only leading to chaos.

Even with all that though, I can't help but root for both Murphy and Dredd. So for that reason, those movies are my guilty pleasures.

I really think mine is watching Bob Ross videos before I go to bed. He's a fantastic artist that has a mellow kind of style, and has a relaxing voice.

The Matrix Reloaded:  The plot is stupid and it takes itself way to seriously, but the action sequences are still a lot of fun to watch.

The Star Wars Prequels:  The prequels themselves suck, but there is hours and hours of entertainment to be had in tearing them apart.  Entertainment based upon criticizing the prequels such as Plinkett Reviews and Darths and Droids provide hours of entertainment, and I think it has gotten to the point that there are more hours of entertainment to be had exploiting the Prequels' failure than the Prequels would have provided if they were actually good.  Of course you need to watch the Prequels at least once to properly benefit from all this other material out there.

I...don't like that. It's exhausting to be so thoroughly negative.
