I do have in my mind a story for a rather dark Cadence fanfic. Something along the lines of her having abused her position of authority as Twilight's foalsitter, and carried on her relationship with Twilight behind Shining Armor's back. And Twilight was of course only one of the fillies she foalsat for.

 

I consider that an alternative universe version of Cadence though. The real Cadence loves her wittle Shiny-Winey.

^ My OTP. Nothing compares to how adorable Pinkie and Dash are together. They were the first pairing that really occurred to me back in Griffon the Brush-Off. They have some of the best stories written about them, too.

 

I have a soft spot for Raridash and Rarijack, too. Both Dash and AJ really clash with Rarity and that makes for an entertaining story. Rarijack in particular has a lot of potential after Simple Ways, where their harmless mockery of each others' personalities was almost flirtatious. 

 

Maud is very new, but I think Maud/Spike (Spaud?) and Maud/Rarity (Marity?) have potential. They could bond over their history with rocks.

Favorite ships

 

Most of mine are pretty mainstream.

 

Doctor x Derpy

 

 

I like them together because it's in these sorts of fics that Derpy gets to be hyper competent. I really hate it when writers make her stupid. It just irks me. If anyone can see past someone's face to the real mare inside, it's the stallion that has had so many. Bonus points if she's got some Donna Noble in her and gives the Doctor heck when he's being a little power mad or heartless. I also just think they're just cute together.

 

My headcanon is that she tripped into the TARDIS one time and it took off with her inside. The TARDIS is want to do these sorts of things. After an adventure with him, she joins him as a companion and well becomes more than just a companion.

 

Thus, we have Amethyst Star and Dinky. He sticks around to help raise them, but occasionally goes off on a jaunt to take care of some business.

 

 

 

 

Maud x Trixie

 

 

This one is mostly due to that funny comic series. They're personalities are fun to watch in their opposition. Trixie can be selfish, self-centered and egotistical. Maud is down to earth and opposes her theatrics with a very understated way of doing things. Trixie can draw out Maud's emotions, while Maud provides an emotional rock (pardon the pun) for her.

I've been doing a lot of ship reading here lately and i read a really good one

shipping Rarity and Twilight.

DashingDoo: 

For Rainbow Dash there has long been this debate of "Is it fair to typecast Dashy as a lesbian because of her rainbow mane and tomboyish nature" and to that I say "No its not fair to do it just for that. However if she openly says she doesn't like hearing about hetero romance or stallions and she trips over herself when it comes to sassy cool Mares then my friend I say ships ahoy." Now has she ever openly said either of these things? Yes, yes she has, in the comics that is. In the comic featuring the backstory of Shining Armor and Cadence Dash is absolutely beside herself with how NOT into that conversation she was. She was almost revolted at the idea of hearing about the romance, which could point to her being Asexual. When she was hanging out with HoofBeard the pirate and Rarity swoons at ObviousJackSparrowPony saying "Talk about your Stallions", Dash dismisses the idea entirely in favor of just seeing him as a Pirate and how cool it would be to BE a pirate. She showed absolutely Zero interest in even the thought of anything more then swashbuckling buds. Even other people see her as absolutely oblivious and disinterested in the opposite sex. Here's a wonderbolt who knows Dash having a fantasy about Big Mac

If you look in the center for Dash, you'll see her vision of all the other mane six wailing at the loss of Big Mac to another mare, and Rainbow being like "whats the big deal its just a dude" 

 

So it's not just her, but people who know her as someone who is not interested in the opposite gender whatsoever. 

 

Cue Daring Doo. She was introduced to the character via Twilight Sparkle and since became an obsessive fan of the series. And why shouldn't she when the story is about a strong fearless and crafty Indiana Jones style mare on epic adventures to stop the evil Ahuizotl. Daring is the kind of Pony that Dash admires, who she wants to be, who she wants to emulate, even more than the Wonderbolts who've since lost their mystique with her since she has gotten to know them better and have seen their flaws. When she is in a jam she thinks about how Daring would get out of it, how she would handle the situation. Dash sees Daring as someone better than herself, something not only evidenced in the comics but in the prominent episode she was featured in Daring Don't

 

 

Up till the point of Daring don't, Dash had only pictured this character as something to emulate, someone who was fictional whom she could project her hopes and dreams of becoming even more awesome onto because of the kinds of adventures she would get into. Then BOOM Daring is real. 

 

She is a fan of the books, but she Idolizes the character, and now that that character is real her emotions in that moment were a jumbled mess. She was blushing, hiding in bushes, expecting her idol to steal the show because she always did in the stories

 

But when it sinks in though, boy does the expressions and closeness start flying

 

 

Pure unabashed affection for someone who had been pretty sullen towards her. This wasn't fan dash doling out the hugs, Daring clearly didn't like the whole gushing fan routine, but as her true Awesome self Ms Doo warmed up quite nicely to her. 

 

If Daring asked her out on a date, Dash would flip out and "Omigosh" into oblivion, she couldn't say yes fast enough to go on a date with the mare she idolizes even above her own success and self image. DashingDoo is possibly the most close to canon Rainbow Dash Ship I can think of. 

 

Also we all know what that face means

Well lets see, there is:

• TwiLuna: I just find this totally plausible imo, plus I think it is friggin sweet as hell, easily my favorite ship.
• FlutterDash: I can't resist the adorableness of Fluttershy and the effect it has on RD which is interesting.
• RariJack: Again the conflicting nature of their personalities makes it really interesting to see how it could work.
• SweetieMash: Curse the fanfic of the same name, this is just too damn cute and I am a sucker for anything remotely cute(Plus gamer SB, hell yea ).
