I guess we have track down the guy who vandalized that mural, and prosecute him for vandalism. (And being an anti-brony.) ahihihi.gif

We'll probably have to say to them that you get autism by genetic and environmental factors, and not by watching a 'little girl's' show. ahihihi.gif

People are afraid of what they don't understand, so they go after something and with little to no evidence against it. I've seen a person go to an ultimate low, but this wouldn't surprise me on how they view us.

Well, who is did it is an asshat, no doubting that.

The person that wrote that post get a job job discussing the situation and tearing the arguments against us apart though.

I think it is sincerely pathetic how people harass others for what they like, or compare it to something with less significance.

Why do we live in a world so full of ignorance that it makes me wish that I didn't have common sense?!

This about tops idiocy and makes me lose faith in humanity.

How can people seriously look at MLP: FiM and think that having an adult audience leads to the majority of those people having autism?

WTF?     :eww:  :eww:  :eww:

I could answer that but I'm just going to reply that I won't as the truth will probably get me kicked out of the fandom if not the forums plus it's a bit on the depressing side.

People who insult Bronies, call them autistic, or just can't stand the thought of someone liking something that they see as "unmasculine" probably have never had to face a Brony in real life and say it to their faces. I enjoy the mask of anonymity all the time, but I also realize that it's a blessing and a curse. We feel more comfortable and at ease telling inner thoughts and deep secrets because we aren't face to face and we have to time to think about how to say it since it's in word form, but it also allows people to be the biggest jerks the world has ever seen.

I really don't mind the insults, I've been insulted before by my brother but he's just joking about it. If someone honestly walked up to me and called me autistic for liking My Little Pony, I'd probably just laugh it off and keep going on with my life.

As for the whole shoving it into places thing that Miaq brought up... I've talked about this probably dozens of times before, but that's just a lame excuse. People shove sports, Anime, whatever all over the place all the time, just because it's ponies doesn't make it any different. If it honestly bothers someone that much that someone drew, say, a picture of Pinkie Pie dressed up as Deadpool or something, then they have serious issues. It's a freaking picture that a fan drew, for Pete's sake. I actually used to be the same way with Anime; I used to be (and still am) a huge fan of Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, and I used to get ticked when I saw Anime versions of the characters drawn by people. Eventually, I grew out of that and just realized that people were drawing what they liked and it really shouldn't bother me that much.

I mean, I still don't like it, but I don't get bent out of shape over it and start insulting people and saying their shoving their Anime crap in my face.

What's sad is that the people who do this shit honestly believe they're being clever. In reality, they're painting themselves as the very manchildren they claim us to be, pounding their fists on the ground in a never ending tantrum screaming "STOP LIKING WHAT I DON"T LIKE!"

Also, way to sign -anon. Much balls. So courage.

Don't listen to those 'people' who make rude remarks about us bronies. They're just those who try to make us look when they didn't even watch MLP FiM in the first place.

Everyone shouldn't be judged on what they do and don't like. They should be respected based on their opinions on things.

Sometimes people need a way of justifying why grown men would possibly watch a show called My Little Pony. They can't fathom that it could be because it's actually just a good show, so they think of other reasons it could possibly be. One very common one is sexual reasons. But another common one is autism. This is probably because one symptom of autism is having an obsession with a particular thing. It can be, for example, an obsession with doing a certain thing, with collecting a certain thing, or with watching a certain show. So  it makes sense to people that one reason why some people watch My Little Pony is because they're autistic. Which is totally wrong and incorrect thinking, since it should be obvious given the vast amount of non-autistic bronies out there that this is a show which doesn't need someone to have a disorder in order for it to be liked. Also, if an autistic person likes My Little Pony, it isn't necessarily because they have autism; they're just another brony just like the rest of us.

I definitely agree on that.

I'm not sure what is worse, the fact that people discriminate others for challenging the social status, or the fact that people discriminate others for mental illness, that they may have been born with or incurred on them. Society these days truly makes me ashamed, this great big vibrant culture we once had, is now regressed into an introverted, callous maelstrom, socially isolating people that could use a human moment, for compassion and reasoning, but no, we get instead is fear, intolerance and even punishment for being different. The people that do speak for against autism, they are not trying to understand it, they spread fear and slander to make it seem they did something important, like the same people who are making awareness of schizophrenia, then try to have them impounded in a mental ward, so they cannot tamper with the pure, and false image they tell one another, as a PTSD veteran I this only too well, I help other veterans coming back home, they tell me stories of how society treats them like ghouls, with distance and distrust, after they tell the veteran welcome home, thanks for serving and don't come around my family, you have PTSD and are dangerous, this stigma our culture has for mental illness is disgraceful, we should be better than that, rather than trying to cure it with drugs or imprison them, it is greater to understand and treat that person with respect, and not treat different people like they are mental, this is the true measure of a culture, on how it treats the disabled and afflicted.

Anything different is apparently caused by a mental disability, according to "clever" people. It's a bit annoying that people can be so close minded to mix up a liking of a TV show and an illness.

Totally terrible but not totally unexpected. People of all ages will find ways that people are different and be jerks about it until they become a shell of a human being. Also, what's wrong with having autism?

If I was going to be potentially caught, arrested, and convicted for a crime and face stiff fines or jail time, I too would like it to be in the name of spreading stupid 4chan BS into the real world.

Ughh, what a repulsive act! My little brother has autism, it's not something to be equated with childish stupidity, nor is being a brony. That asswad can crawl back into the oozing cesspool they came from, along with everyone else who calls bronies mentally challenged, queer, or womanly, as if those are anything to be ashamed of!

What else do you expect from 4chan, the shitstain of the internet?

As a side note, on the MLP section of 4chan apparently they don't call themselves bronies but instead "Horse Fuc**ers" At least that is what they said on my thread that I started their.

Ahhhh yes, the whole "Horsef***er" thing...

You know, I usually find stuff like that funny, but that just got old fast to me. And I'm usually pretty immature when it comes to jokes like that, so that's saying something.

Really isn't that vandalism (then again whoever made the mlp one might have done vandalism also) still really, autism. As someone with autism, that is just mean. I mean what's with people on the internet using autism like it's some kind of racial slur or an insult. It's becoming the new gay. Do these people even know what autism is or are they just throwing around the word left and right anywhere. You know some people with autism can turn out to be very intelligent?

Agreed. People throw the word out as an insult and it's hard to tell if the person who spray painted that was serious or trying to insult the brony fandom. In my opinion, it was most likely some anti-brony trying to insult us, but you never know

This whole blog post was kind of mean and hurt my feelings. :(

Why must mean people be so mean?

Is it such a crime that when others find something that makes them happy, it must be shot down?

Don't let the Magic of Friendship be blunted by unnecessary and rude comments like this, my friends.

We are all a big family, and no about of hate will ever shoot us down. (\

Oh my gosh, that's really awful. :o

Some people just don't understand that perfectly normal people can like something that you wouldn't think that would appeal to them, and feel the need to put a label on it to distance themselves from it- we've all done it with some things I imagine. Still, using words like 'highest form of autism' to describe an entire fandom is incredibly offensive to both those who do or don't have it, because it's simply not the majority truth. >_>

I'm sure that a hater, somewhere out there, is grinning because we're talking about their act of vandalism.

Trust me, people like this love a reaction, any kind of reaction. It pleases them.

Unfortunately, a response is pretty much inevitable. Thankfully they probably don't come on websites like this, so I doubt they even know that their vandalism got a reaction at all.

WTF?     :eww:  :eww:  :eww:

People who call MLP:FIM fans 'autistic' fall in three camps.

1) People who want to hate on the fans because they like belittling others to assert there own likes

or just because they get off on the power.

2) People who think MLP is for 'fags' and geuninely hate any man that likes something that has the colour pink in it.

3) Trolls looking for bait, unfortunately this fandom is very very easy bait plus it's such a large fandom theres plenty of people to troll.

Partly on topic I'd prefer if we didn't have the 'brony' tag kind so heavily. I think the 'fan' tag fits better for all but the

most dedicated, i.e those people who literally do have lives where MLP is the center. Which is fine but I'd rather not be lumped

in with that level of fan dedication.
