Do you wear your heart on your shirt?

I try to hide my emotions because whenever I try to express how I'm feeling, no one cares. Oh well though. If I bother people with my emotions, it is probably better to hide them.

Though this is why I look so boring and dull. I literally go around without much emotion on my face.

I have a bad habit of being the right person for the place and time, rather than being myself. Sometimes I wear *a* heart on my sleeve, but is it mine? You might never be sure.

My emotions are kept under lock and key, and packed away pretty deeply (at least in person, I don't do that so much in writing).  When I'm around people that I know, I'm better at expressing positive emotions, but anything that might make others uncomfortable (anger, sadness, etc) I try to stuff away into dark corners.  It leaks out every now and then, but luckily, I can't think of a time that I've ever had a full-blown meltdown.

I tend to keep things inside, I just bottle it all up and keep it hidden. Sometimes I do plan debates when it comes to things I care about but rarely do I actually end up debating. I'm a really reserved guy so I don't express my feelings or anything.

I express my emotions when they are relevant to the situation and seem worth expressing. I'm not going to tell some offensive moron that he is annoying. I'll just give him the finger and walk away. I try to be as logical and reasonable as possible. When I like someone, and believe it will be taken positively, I will tell them. If I know they don't care, why should I?

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

I exspress them when people ask, I perfer to not though.

Negative feelings tend to be bottled up.

When we are talking about happy feelings then yes, I will hug. xD

It really depends because sometimes I wear my heart on my sleeve but when I am really depressed I don't and I bottle it all up because I don't feel like anyone cares.

I tend to keep my feelings to myself. I've tried to be more open about them before, but it never really helped me in any way. I find it's better just to fake a smile, and nod.

I'll occasionally talk to my mom about feelings, and stuff. Not a lot though.

  • 1 year later...

Most of the time I just keep my feelings bottled up and pretend that I'm fine, but sometimes my feelings leak out, and at those times, it's usually very depressing. Like, 'I want to run away and starve to death' levels of emotion...  -_-

More like... under my shirt. Yeah, that works. Under my shirt. If I want to open myself up to you, I'll roll the shirt up a little bit, but it typically takes a really strong relationship for me to take it off completely. I think I've only opened myself up-- really opened myself up-- to one person, and that was with the added security of them being on the other end of the country.

So yeah. My heart's in my shirt.

It depends on if I feel like doing it. Sometimes I express my emotions while other times I hide them.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I think I've really gotten good at pretending to be happy/acting happy when I am not (unfortunately, I guess? Although in some situations it can be beneficial, I suppose). It can be quite difficult/draining at times...Something to do with my family/upbringing, I suppose (a family member with mental illness - and having to walk on eggshells a lot of the time). :(

I'm kinda' like Pinkie Pie I guess. Very cheerful seeming and like to party, but actually rather sad a lot.

Depends on if I need to or not, like if I'm doing something important that needs my full attention, I won't even pay attention to them.

To be honest, I'm the type of guy that doesn't get easily offended, so I usually hide my heart when people argue right next to me. I just don't care.

But when I do disagree with someone, I flip my heart out on my sleeve and voice my disagreements.
