Definitely not. I keep my emotions bottled up like a fifty year old whiskey (I think I'm using that analogy correctly? I don't drink).

No, I usually bury my emotions. Probably not the healthiest way to live, but that's just how I am.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I keep my emotions in check. So I’d express it when it’s necessary, at the same time not being work up over something that not is worth losing my mind over. If something upset me greatly, I don’t hide it. It’s best to let some people know so they know not to pull the same shit on you again.

I say what I feel more than I probably should. I always leap before I look and let it all hang out there for the world to see. There are a few exceptions where I keep things bottled up for a short time, but if pressed for info I always blurt out everything. I’m an open book most people would probably rather close.

Very rarely do i ever show emotion in day to day life, it usually bottles up until I can barely take it any longer.....

  • 1 year later...

If I let loose how I really feel about some people I’d be fired from my job.

Depends on the situation. By nature I'm not so keen to do this, but if I have to I do it. There also times where I want but it where it would only hurt me

Well no absolutely not I'm Icelandic, that means emotions are not a thing we ever talk about or show. I mean everyone knows everyone's depressed and we all know someone that's killed themselves yet we never talk about it and pretend to be happy when the fact is everyone is miserable. Difference is maybe to other nationalities is when you know everyone is miserable you just assume they are so when someone asks "how are you" we say good as we see it as almost rude or inappropriate to talk about really. That and the fact I have never known one single person that's happy here everyone is pretty much just living their lives in hopes they can escape this country one day. So you put up a smile and pretend to not be on the verge haha. That said though I prefer a society that's cold and hardened by constant suffering over say America where everyone seems to always be happy and it's just weird. There is a costco here and only Americans work there, they're way too happy it's just so strange to me they ask about your day they are friendly and nice being accepting completely opposite. I guess it also feels different seeing generations before you having worked themselves so hard to have not gotten anything to show for it because of government policies which largely increase people's despair and suffering systematically. Yet no you're meant to just keep quiet and smile to not be rude it's like living in a purgatory.
