I'd pick Pinkie, because she'd cheer me up and always have fun with me... We'd have parties, we'd bake... laugh, jokes...

I'd befriend a pony. I'd date a pony. I'd marry a pony. I'd adopt a pony. I'd even try to have pony children. But I would never have one as a pet.

Wouldn't want a self-aware animal that can think on a human level as a pet. But if I could have a pony as a real life friend, it would be Applejack. Her work ethic is just like mine, and I would like someone to cook me some delicious apple pies, amongst other apple confectioneries. Plus, she seems one of the most humble of the Mane 6, and humility is a quality I always look for in women.

I consider a pet a member of my family so definitely. I treat my dog as well as I'd treat anyone else in my family.

 

I'd probably choose Sweetie Belle, she'd always want to have fun and play. Also, the voice is definitely a plus

I have to completely agree with My Little Pwny. Especially when I can't talk to them, I can't fully communicate with them and therefore I'd rather have that pony to be with her friends instead of being a pet.

that's a tricky situation, as much as I want to have Rarity, I would decline and have Dr.Whooves instead, he looks more like a pet and he's super cute. I can't treat Rarity as a pet, she's super fabulous, I couldn't do that to her.

 

It's tricky, because if I discover that he can be as smart and logical as the ponies in the show or more intelligent than a dolphin, then I couldn't have him as a pet, he would have his own room and stuff... but if he acts like a typical mammal animal and eats anything I serve to him (from a bowl not a plate), and he accept to sleep outside and let me mount him to take a ride, or he can't clean up by himself and etc. then he would be my pet

Maybe not as a pet but as a friend/roommate. And with the ponies natural abilities, it would improve life in certain aspects. I mean think of the posibilities : with Twilight's intelligence, homework would be greatly reduced. Rarity would make new clothing once in a while. Applejack would make some nice apple related sweets, etc, etc.

Any pony from my long list of favorites, I would love to have as a pet or companion of sorts. Twilight, Sweetie Belle, Pinkie Pie, Spitfire, Rainbow Dash, or Luna. I love them all.

Ponies aren't meant to be pets, now as a friend or room-mate I would have to go with Rarity. (surprised? Me too) I think it would be pretty fun to have Rarity as a friend.

It would be cool to have a pony as a pet, but they have the intellectual abilities like a human just with some psychical disadvantages to humans [but WAY more advantages to humans] so if they figured out that they were my pet they would wonder why I own them, they probably would object to that in a heart beat and leave and go find their own home to live in.

 

Having them as close friends however that want to live with me would be amazing, but they can't be my property.

 

I know, I kill the fun, but you know it would probably happen if you owned a Pony too.
