It depends on how long they are – if it's something with thousands of words, probably not. I read shorter profiles more often. Though with the "About me" section now being the first thing that shows up when you go to a user profile, I've found myself reading them more often than before.

I don't really read profiles on forums or social media sites at all unless I'm really interested in something about that person, which is pretty infrequent.

That sounded a lot meaner than I meant it to, but I guess it's honest...

You bet I do. Even if the profile is long, reading it gives me a better understanding of the person behind it. :)

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I usually do as I want to learn more about a person, however, I have seen users with 50+ pictures in their bios and I find myself tediously scrolling for a long while. Nothing wrong with that if you enjoy that. Maybe there should be an art gallery tab or something for the forums profiles. Huh. I might just suggest that.

I used to have a larger bio, but some people told me that it came off as intimidating in the sense that it was a lot of info, so I'm trying to figure out another way to write it.

Honorable mention: I recall when I first joined, seeing another user who copied and pasted the first chapter of Dante's Inferno for their profile and I couldn't stop laughing when I figured it out.

I always read the profile in full. You can learn more about the person there.
