Now I am suffering from excess spoiler syndrome. Seriously, dying from excitement. I'm so excited, I'm watching other series just to wait. That and a few other things. So.many.yays.Chryssie? Will she be in it? Revenge is needed yes.

Interesting stuff! I like how the official synopsis includes the description of an enemy "who threatens to destroy everything." Funny how Night Mare Moon's fear factor was downplayed intentionally to avoid scaring kids; now villains readily assault (Chrysalis), enslave (Sombra), or threaten to destroy Equestria.

 

It's also worth mentioning that Lauren Faust referred to the Everfree Forest as playing a larger role in her original designs. For instance, in "The Elements of Harmony" book, she stated that the Everfree encroached on Luna and Celestia's castle (the ruins from the pilot) -- hence they needed to move to Canterlot.

The ponies are stock images, to be sure; but check out the tree in the background. It instantly reminded me of the mythological world tree. Might we witness something similar in MLP? Are the Elements the very life force of Equestria?

 

My guess is that the tree was where Celestia and Luna originally found the elements, and is also where Twilight has the "chance to discover the secrets behind the Elements of Harmony." Perhaps the clip of Luna turning into Nightmare Moon is the tree giving Twilight some sort of message or warning. Should be very interesting to see what happens, either way.

Meghan made a tweet saying that shes about to watch the weirdest episode of MLP:FIM yet.A lot of people on EQD are placing their money on it being a guest appearance of Weird Al especially since he said once that he wanted to be in it. I'm not so convinced but what do you guys think?

No, I don't think there was a particular reason. Its just like you said. He probably posted that picture because Meghan said its the weirdest episode yet, Weird Al is weird, and its a pony website, so thats the pony version of Weird Al. I'm not Seth of course, but I don't see any other reason why he posted that picture.

I'm so so excited for season four! I'm really curious as to what Sweetie Belle's role in the first episode is. The other CMC's aren't listed which I find weird. Also Big Mac is listed which hopefully means he'll say more than Eeyup and Eenope. Best villain is going to be in the first two episodes which is really exciting too. I really want to know what the "Tree of Harmony" is and how that NMM animatic fits in the first two episodes. I'm trying not to get too excited in case its a let down but season four looks great so far!

Right around Nightmare Night, a school rumor circulates that the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters in Everfree Forest is haunted!  The Cutie Mark Crusaders, thinking that they might earn their marks with bravery, decide to spend Nightmare Night in the castle ruins. But, upon arriving, they get second thoughts when the castle appears to really be haunted with all sorts of ghosts and spirits!

 

 

As part of the writing staff, I will require $120K per year, unlimited coffee, the right to emotionally melt down at inappropriate moments, and free reign to make Chrysalis the most badass villain in the show. Or just tummy rubs. (Hub Network, you decide.)
