Are Chickens Birds?

So, I just learned that chickens aren't birds... I'm not sure what to think!

 

Everything I've ever known may have been a lie!

Chickens are birds, or so I believe....

 

They have the proper anatomy. Just because their chest is not built in such a way so they can't fly means nothing. They're basically pigeons  except we can see babies of them (And they can't fly). :3
