I saw an egghead on TV talking about the different dimensions and alternate universes.

He said the number of alternate universes is either infinate, or so great it would be infininate to our small minds...

In other words, Equestria (and likely many variations of it) is out there somewhere.

Well, since myths are social constructs, they technically do exist.

NO NO NO!

That's just what the characters call the theory and politics behind their multi-dimensional travel! There are so many other dimensions, six, raised to the power of six, raised to the power of six...misunderstood as 666, that it's only natural that you'd stumble upon familiar dimensions! They even find one that's basically Earth, only missing the letter "J" from the English alphabet! Throught the story they refer to it as "Earth without a J"

LOL

Posted ImageWhat do they call the first Universe they Translate to using Jake's Device? Earth Without a J. The first Universe-hopping trip actually occurs before the book starts. DeeTee and Jake test out the Device, and at first think they have failed, until DeeTee notices that on the back of a Phonebook has what she thinks is a misprint. Investigation reveals that the Universe they have traveled into does not contain the letter J in the English alphabet.

The idea that fictional characters and worlds exist in the multiverse is called the theory of fictional realism. If anything is possible, than everything exists in the multiverse. There are many Equestrias out there. There are universes where Celestia was banished instead of Luna. There are Cupcakes worlds. There are worlds where Fluttershy is a tree. (There was a funny fanfic I read called The Combinatorics Project that had an army of Scootaloos traveling throughout the multiverse.)

When you imagine something, you are not causing anything to happen. There just happens to be a universe out there that matches your imagined scenario.

For those who don't know, Multiverse theory was originally thought up as a way to explain the Big Bang Theory. (The theory that because galaxies are getting further away, they must have been closer together. They may have met at one point, the origin of the universe. If the universe had a beginning, what caused the beginning? What sparked caused the Big Bang?) If there are more than one universe, then there is something outside of our universe that could have caused our universe to exist.

Alright so lets get straight into it shall we?

First of all their is a theory that someone I don't remember made that has infinite universes with different things.

IF that is true, then their is a universe where their are no universes for other universes

BUT! (Still with me after all those universes?)

Their is a universe that gives all the other universes, well, universes.

Which means it must conflict with itself, so that means their are, and aren't multiple universes, your thoughts or anything to add on the matter (Lol matter)

I am not responsible for any universes/worlds shattered in the making of this post.

Edit: I am not trying to disprove the theory, I am just adding something I thought was interesting to it.

I already stated that at school; nobody seemed to notice the whole "paradox" within the situation itself.  So yeah, you can't have zero and then have a valued variable inside of "naught"--it's all logic.

But there is also the same amount of universes as the other infinite universes that are identical but are not affected by said universe. As there is an infinite amount variations.

I can't understand your post.  It's about as hard to figure out as the thing your trying to disprove.  The multiverse theory is something I support though.

No, Pinkeh Pie broke the theory. And all of the universes with it!

You see, when Pinkeh shattered the 4th wall, it caused a special-temporal rift. It caused all of the alleged universes to consume each other. Consequently, the mass of what used to be the universes exploded due to the massive amounts of gravity.

I don't intend to be rude but your post is practically unintelligible - and the little bit that I was able to make out gives me the impression you don't understand the multiverse theory.

I barely understand it, I just thought someone could clear up this bit for me. All I know is that their is an infinite number of universes that all vary. Halp!

No offense OP but that may be the stupidest argument I've ever heard. You're completely irrefutably incorrect. You know why? There can't be a universe where there are no others universes, because a universe can only govern itself. As in, no universe can affect another universe, or else they wouldn't be seperate universes.

OP is completely incorrect.

In the multiverse theories, they are completely different universes, meaning they can even have different laws of physics, they can have different types of matter, they can have something other than atoms, because they aren't the same universes. No universe can affect another universe.

OP doesn't understand the multiverse theory at all. -__-

But we are straying from the point on how they are even there? But their is another universe that would connect and disconnect the universes at the same time

No, because no universe can affect or connect to any other universe, if they could, they would not be different universes. Duh... -_-

Dude, I was JOKING go goolge multiverse theories and learn.

(Hint: There doesn't have to be an unlimited amount of universes, bud)

The multiverse (or meta-universe) is the hypothetical set of multiple possible universes (including the historical universe we consistently experience) that together comprise everything that exists and can exist: the entirety of space, time, matter, and energy as well as the physical laws and constants that describe them.

That makes this much easier for me to understand, but if there are INFINITE variations then some universes might not obey the same laws of the universe making the laws of the universe lawless yet restricted WHAT THE HELL SCIENCE!

Well, in theory, they could effect each other. If our 4 dimensional universes (3 of space, 1 of time) are floating around in 5-D "space", then it's not unreasonable to think that one might bump into another universe, and in that case, I think it plausible that there would be at least some kind of energy transfer. It might not even be observable to us, or it could appear to break the Law of Conservation :/

Maybe not, but I don't think we can rule out the idea of other universes effecting each other; after all, of you go up to a high enough dimension, we're still technically in the same multiverse. But we can't really know until we have a better understanding of physics.

Or we could just find a way to "see" higher dimensions. :P

That;s not what I meant by not affecting, I meant that there couldn't be a universe where there were no other universes like the OP described.

Well, no, what you said is just... Not true.

There can't be a universe with no universes because then it's not a universe, also the fact there is a universe for any possible physical outcome does not mean there is one that changes the very fabric of what a universe is. There can't be such a thing because a universe has no effect outside itself, it just doesn't work that way. If there wasn't a multiverse at all, then yes, but that's not the case.

For example: 3+3=6 right? well that doesn't mean 3+2=6, or that 3=6, what I'm saying is that even though there are infinite outcomes, there are no infinite systems, and having only one universe isn't an outcome whatsoever.

Sorry but what you said just isn't true dude :\

Right, I'm guessing everypony's heard about the Multiverse theory, but I haven't noticed anything about this, so I'll get right to it. Right now. Riiight now. Now. And here's a quick thing about the Multiverse, just in case.

The Multiverse theory is a theory that suggests that there are an infinite number of universes, each with factors that differ from our universe, from the atomic mass of a particle, to the amount of caffeine in an energy drink. The laws of physics will be different in some universes, while others will be the same as ours, meaning that quite literally anything is possible.

...Well, that was my "quick" explanation of stuff you likely already know. ^-^;

Now!

Anyway, a portal to a parallel universe might not be your only ticket to Equestria. You may just have to wait one googol years

10 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 years img-1386534-1-blink.png

, at least. Anyway, in the time leading up to googol years, everything, including black holes and even light itself will have gone. And in a vacuum, there are random fluctuations of energy, so eventually it is thought that it will eventually make an atom or two, and as time goes on, eventually planets and suchlike will start popping up. And since we have

1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 years img-1386534-2-derpy_emoticon1.png

(That's got 1056 zeroes) until the universe produces a big bang due to it's atomakingness, I'd say that if there's a way to make ponies like in the show biologically sensible, it's perfectly possible that they'll be out there someday.

Though it's most likely not going to have the things mentioned in

and
, though evidence suggests that the supposed 'constants' of the universe are eeeveer so slightly changing, so in a googol years the universe may not be able to function. I just ruined it all img-1386534-3-biggrin.png Well, possibly. Well, everything this is talking about is a possibly, so, y'know...

What if I told you that...
img-1386534-4-morpheus.png
We are one of the products of the atomakingness?

And all of this was to say that...

I needed to use this space to put a pic for my profile here img-1386534-5-blush.png

post-13517-0-50899800-1368364856.png

Anyway, if you read through this, congratulations! Here's a much more comprehensible thing that I got all of my info from. Sorry about the overuse of spoilers... ^-^;

Uhm this topic is just making me confused. I don't understand if this thread is serious or not.

Equestria is a made up country from a tv-show. It's not real.

I6gbAVN.png

..Or is it?

(Yeah there's a place in South Africa called Equestria)
