Has anyone here ever marathoned the entire third season?

I know a lot of people have claimed to have marathoned the first two seasons. It's not that hard to believe, however I could never imagine myself marathoning a 26 episode season without taking breaks. I actually want to try marathoning season 3 because it's less intimidating. 

 

Tonight would be the perfect time to do it, because I'm a senior in high school, and the seniors don't have to go to school tomorrow, because the juniors are taking ACTs. And I don't have any homework to do, so I have plenty of time on my hands, and I can choose to stay up if I want to. 

 

So have you ever marathoned season 3? If not, do you think it's a good idea? Would you do it?

Ill do that once im done season 2.. currently on S2E5 (Sisterhooves Social). Ill get a bunch of MTN Dew, a ton of snacks. the only break ill do is to use the bathroom.. or use the empty bottles.. er i mean nevermind..

Good idea, actually. I'm rather familiar with the first two seasons due to watching them so much, but I've only seen every episode of Season Three one time, two times tops.

 

Considering that I binged Season Two in one night when I first became a Brony, shouldn't be too difficult to run through thirteen episodes.

Yeah I marathoned season three on my first watch through. I only became a brony a month or so ago. I absolutely tore through the series.

 

EDIT: I just realised I don't have my avatar anymore. I don't understand how that happened.... this isn't relevant at all I just thought I'd share it. Now I must go and correct this atrocity.

i watched all the episodes the morning they came out,i think it was last weekend i was SUPER BORED, so fueled by all teh good stuff i ended up watching every episode, after that i learned how magical sleep was as well

The only time I've ever marathoned a show in any form, was when I watched like three discs of the Cowboy Bebop Remix Compete collection all in one sitting.

 

I did watch alot of back-to-back FiM when I first got into it though.

Anyways, I haven't yet, I never marathoned S1 or S2 either, but I could probably do S3, just haven't gotten around to it yet .

Season 3?! Heck, I did a Season 1 marathon that lasted all night. Even blogged about it. And I'll be doing Season 2 next as soon as the DVDs come out.

I'v marathon'ed the entire 1st and 2nd Season.

 

But i'v been too lazy to marathon the 3rd season, it's not really a challenge for me. *since there's only 13 episodes*

I'll probably do it when i'm not busy on the interwebz.

The last time some online friends and I tried to do an MLP marathon, it didn't work out. We watched like two episodes, and then our endeavor dissolved into a mix of spacing out, being distracted, and going off to play League of Legends. 

 

However, I do sometimes group certain episodes together when I watch them, but I don't watch enough in a row to call it a marathon. For instance, I showed my parents The Crystal Empire parts 1 and 2, Just for Sidekicks, Games Ponies Play, and Magical Mystery Cure all in a row, because there's a fair amount of continuity between those episodes.

 

But, aside from that, would I do a marathon just to do a marathon, of season 3 or otherwise? Probably not, unless I was doing it with a few friends.

Heh.. Yeah, we need to try that again for the season 4 premiere.

 

I've only managed to watch about 10 episodes at one time, before I have to take a break or I get distracted and go play games.

Very nice job! I think that means a lot, especially since both seasons are twice as long as Season Three!

 

And I agree, watching episode after episode appears to be a common way to get into the series... at least it's how I got into it as well.

It was fun. Each season, without ads, was about 9 hours. The only thing that annoyed me is that the name of each episode was edited out. Didn't know which was which.

Oh wow, that really sucks. I imagine it's kind of hard to keep the events straight in your head when you don't even know the title of the episode that it was in...

 

Then again, I sometimes have to go back and make sure I'm thinking of the right episode, and I watched them with the names intact, so perhaps it's not that big of a deal.
