So, has anyone read this amazing series by Brian Jacques? I had to have read somewhere around 10-15 of his books, if not more. I left off deep into the series, not sure why, and just didn't pick it up again. But Jacques remains my favorite author. Anyone else a fan?

I've actually never read the books but I do remember seeing the cartoon series as a kid and I absolutely loved it. Maybe when I have time I'll pick up the books... it would make for a good summer read.

I still have all his books, and I read them ever so often. He was one of my favourite authors when I was a kid; he really created a new world. :D

Those books were amazing, and I faintly remember the cartoon too.. I still read those books now sometimes, as they were just so good. A whole world run by creatures, and not all fluffy and lovely like Disney say, oh no, possibly the most violent, bloodthirsty, epic, bunch of critters ever! So many amazing characters and places...

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the series. I keep forgetting about it. Of course, you know the books will be better, as always is the case with movies and tv shows.

Ahh I used to love his books when I was younger! I believe I've read almost every single one. And I still own nearly all of them. The tv series is very good to! I must download it now.... *heads to pirate bay*

I only saw it as a cartoon, but I remember that I loved the heck out of that show. Matthias and Logalog were my favourite characters, I actually drew a picture of Logalog on the back of one of my tests when we were covering logarithms.

log(log(2)). log a log.

Oh man, I loved those books so much when I was 10 or so. It was so awesome to see a world full of cute, fluffy animals that was violent as all getout. Brian Jacques writes a fine war story.

My favorite part had to be Salamandastron, with the kickass hare warriors and their berserker badger kings. Good stuff...

Brian Jacques is my favorite childhood author, and I've red most of the books in the Redwall series. I believe I stopped right around Rakkety Tam, and I would honestly love to pick right back up where I left off and finish the series. Brian Jacques deserves that much from me at the very least, may he rest in peace.

Wow, this takes me back. Those books were a huge part of my childhood. Before I discovered Discworld, that was my favorite series of books by far. I think my favorite was probably Mossflower, although I know there were a bunch that I either didn't finish, or never got a chance to read at all.

Oh yeah, man. Redwall is kick ass. My favorites (and I only read a handful) were the titular "Redwall" and "Mossflower." I had a difficult time getting into some of the others, but yeah - those books really blew my mind back in fourth grade. They still hold up today, too, unlike a lot of children's literature (*ahem* Goosebumps) so check 'em out if you ever get the urge to read about little furry dudes with swords n' stuff.

I was hooked in by the cartoon,  but I eventually got around to reading a handful of the books too smile.png. I think my favorite was Martin the Warrior.

Martin the Warrior was my first experience with Jacques. I was going on a road trip or something, and we stopped by the library to pick up some books. Well, I get car sick, so I grabbed some audio books. Martin the Warrior just caught my eye for some reason, and after that I went on to read much of the series.

Asmodeussssss

I've only read the first book, but I read it once 7 years ago and again 1 year ago during a power outage. It was as good as I remembered it, but with that re-read bonus too. Definitely one of my favorite books because of all the world- and character-building. It's easy to imagine the events and sympathize with the characters (that aren't Cluny). It kept me interested and on the edge of my seat throughout and had a satisfying end. What more could you ask for?
