How would you personally feel about killing a Pony? (Must read first post)

How would you personally feel about killing a Pony? Knowledge of certain stories within The Conversion Bureau verse is required. In short non canon, genocidal Ponies invade our universe and Earth that wish to kill all Humans/turn them into zombie Newfoals, forcing Humanity to fight a brutal war of survival.

I think I would feel extremely sad inside killing a Pony/fascist Pony, even if it was a mindless (possibly mind controlled) smiling  zombie (not undead) minded (former Human) Newfoal. One I am not a soldier, (nor a bloodthirsty psychopath) meaning I would be poorly trained in using a gun nor would I have the psychological training to be desensitized to the point in order to take a life. 

I'm a Brony, so I guess I would especially feel sad taking a life of a being I admired and loved.

Maybe, I'd get over it in time from killing the newfoal zombie charging at me. But deep down, I think my heart would be breaking that I'm forced to fight for my species' survival and kill someone that's a monster version of a being I loved. I guess, the thought of canon Ponies existing in the multiverse might give me some degree of determination. But I still think I would have psychological scars, I would never recover from killing a being I loved, even if it was a monstrous parody of it. Especially if it was a Newfoal child soldier, I think I cry my heart out that I killed a child, which would make me want to kill myselff.

I would feel horrible. Personally, I've got no trouble killing Bambi and Thumper, but ponies are a completely different matter.

 

If they were zombies though, I would grudgingly be forced to murder the poor things.

I seriously feel bad when I mistakenly kill an ant. I think killing a pony would emotionally, and psychologically mess with my conscience. Plus, who could ever kill a cute wittle poneh?

Depends greatly on what kind of pony. If it's a mindless dead zombie after my brains, then it would be simple, as I sometimes am very cold blooded like that. But one of the MLP FiM characters (that I reckognise), that would be difficult to do. :/

I don't assign values to stuff like "it's a human" or "it's a black guy", "it's a woman".

Because of this, I don't think that ponies get a moral free pass to do whatever they want. (It's different than my point on ponies possibly being less inclined to "do evil" than humans).

 

So, if it is a pony doing something that I think is morally reprehensible, like killing innocents for no justifiable reason, I'd shoot it dead without remorse.

Have you played Mass Effect? (lots of bioware on this thread...) Saren had his mind corrupted by Sovereign, there was no escape for him, he couldn't be brought back to humanity.

 

I wouldn't enjoy killing it, but if it needs to be done then it needs to be done.

i think that if i know what the ponies intentions towards me are i could easily kill it. i mean, when i was about 11-12 years old i would take my bb gun out and go shoot neighborhood cat's with my brother.

honestly ... it would be a lot easier than killing a human

and if i needed to do it to protect friends and family ... then i will go for it without hesitation.

i would much prefer to shot it rather than stab it in the eye if I'm honest though

It would be much easier to desensitize, because they are not humans, that's very true.

 

In a broader sense, you never have the right to try and kill anyone, though. I'd think that if ponies were trying to convert humans to ponies and take away what made us who we are, then they would have no right and that we would be justified in attacking and killing them.

 

Plus, we'd curbstomp them, but I've had this debate plenty before.

I suppose I'd feel the same way that I did if I had to kill a human or some other creature. I would feel horrible for doing it, but if they were going to destroy innocent lives if I let them live or if they had committed crimes that were enough to warrant a death penalty, or if they were trying to enslave or change us against our will, I would do it. I'd still give them a quick and hopefully painless death, though.

In theory I'd be fine. If they were to attack me, I'd kill 'em. Logic.

Barrier type two (slowly expanding wall of death) or as Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures would say  "Magic must defeat magic type of Barrier!" is immune to all types of man made weapons even nukes and Celestica is seemingly invincible. In that scenario we are essentially screwed big time. Unless we get help from the enemy itself, like Ponies turning on their own leader to save us from extinction. Or (possibly equally powerful) canon minded Ponies from yet another universe arriving to come save our asses or something like that.

In regards to the mindless part I would prefer ending a curse so to speak then to let them continue suffering.

Even with Shining Armor at full strength (not to mention the fact that he's living in the Crystal Empire right now), a bevy of bullets could strike quick and with much more force then changelings could, eventually shattering the barrier. As for Celestia, she was defeated by another pony, showing that there is a limit to her strength and she can't possibly do everything. Finally, ponies were not bred or built for warfare: in general, other than a few select ponies they are a peaceful people and human beings excel at killing peaceful things.

Yes, but that is pretty much not the debate we were having at all. It was whether or not ponies could defeat humans in a military conflict.

We would beat them easily if the barrier was not unbreakable by man made weapons like bombs, and even easier the barrier was not present.

 

The war would be life them using wooden sticks to try kill men armed with machine guns.

 

It would be utterly pointless to fight us.

Even with the barrier, they can't protect everything, and we could pretty dang easily starve them out. Just take over the farms, defend them until they cry uncle, instant win.

Unfortunately the barrier keeps on slowly expanding (say five/seven "depending what type of TCB Ponies attacks" years before it covers all of Earth) and will melt the flesh of any Human, who touches it.

 

Which means we have to fall back, if we can't break it.

 

The military will have to evacuate civilians close to the barrier, if not they will be melted by the barrier or be bombed with potion grenades (or even worse potion air dropped potion cloud bombs that can turn masses of terrified fleeing civilians into Newfoals), which turn former Human into mindless servants of Xenolestia to use as shocktroops (cannon fodder) against us.

 

Meanwhile as the barrier expands let's say it's covered half of the Earth, they use the land they stole from us to grow food to maintain the billions of Newfoals soldiers they get from murdering innocent civilians.

 

If we don't find a way to smash the barrier in time or get help from non mind controlled Ponies, we're doomed.
