Mad scientist Brony creates MLP FIM Ponies?

Would you support a genius mad scientist Brony that has plans to create something as close as possible to the sapient MLP FIM Ponies? 

 

He or she gets DNA of a Pony, does the impossible and literally creates something as close as possible to MLP FIM Ponies both body and mind, just as intelligent as Humans, some of them being even more intelligent and able to breed with each other.

 

The mad scientist may only be able to create Uncrons or Earth Ponies. I don't think the laws of physics will allow a Pegasus to fly.

I wouldn't want a bunch of ponies everywhere because people would not only be racist towards them but also religious stuff would cause a bunch of unnecessary conflicts.

While I wouldn't be exactly that thrilled with this idea, it would be fascinating for someone to create a sentient species that are as equally intelligent as us. Sure there are dolphins and elephants, but wouldn't it be cool to have a "Pinkie and the Brain" level of intellect? A bit dangerous and people are sure to protest, but this is SCIENCE we're talking about!

The thing is if they did that they sadly take a subserviant role in our society, like a sentient pet. That wouldn't really be fair although i can see people would jump at the chance of owning their own pony. You can't take your dog anywhere w/o a leash or in most buildings. Imagine how they would feel.

 

Honestly it beings up the fact that if we ever went to Equestria I'm not sure we'd be considered the dominant lifeform. Can you fly, do magic, and control the weather? I think not. Do they have their same problems we do (wars, gov't gridlock, unemployment, maliase)? No not really.....

 

We'd make great pets....

Yes, exactly. I wont be happy though until the Pegasi can fly, the unicorns can do magic, the earth ponies can do what ever it is they do, and Alicorns are badass. Slow work though.

Absolutely not, since only animated ponies can look cute not real life ponies that aren't animated. The world would decide to be racist towards the ponies, the government would capture the ponies to do experimental tests on them or use them in war. Besides religion could find a way to mess up the ponies by having conflicts that make no sense.

I seriously doubt he could get the necessary funding.

Even if every brony in the world contributed $500 it probably wouldn't be enough, seeing as genetic experimentation of that scale would require an extremely large biology facility. If not in terms of building, at least in terms of staff.

No. Though from a scientific standpoint to genetically create a sentient intelligent creature would be a scientific breakthrough in the world of genetics, however morally and ethically it would be wrong. It would cause many problems, and possibly conflicts. People would probably see them as lesser creatures or even pets. And who knows what the government would do to them.

I always thought pegasi must be able to effect gravity. That would explain how they fly, how they walk on clouds, and how Derpy's butt can go through a floor just by sitting down.

No. The ponies wouldn't look cute in real life. There are pictures of cartoon characters in real life that look creepy, especially with their huge eyes. Google it.

I wouldn't support such a thing. It's too ambitious and would likely result in extremely negative consequences should it succeed.
