Both are awful when used the way they are intended. I despise facebook, they have horrid marketing ploys all over the place, track what you search and such, and in the end it becomes people you don't care about posting things you don't care about. "LIKE THIS IF YOU LOVE JESUS IF YOU DON'T YOU LOVE SATAN" Type of thing. Twitter, in the way it's intended is simply annoying. No, I don't care what you are eating, where you are, etc. I use twitter a lot, but mainly too goof off posting and joking around with strangers. I deleted my facebook out of sheer annoyance. I definitely have to say twitter, it's fun when used in a joking manner with strangers.

I'm a verbose person, so I like that Facebook doesn't have the 140 character limit Twitter does. Facebook lets you edit posts, add notes, etc.. Twitter is better for the quick updates, but I like Facebook more.

I have said this and heard it many times, Facebook is for your friends and family, twitter is for the friends you haven't met yet. I think twitter is better because you meet new people but you don't get harassed for every statement like you do on Facebook.

"Everypony everywhere has a special magical connection with her friends, maybe even before she's met them. If you're feeling lonely and you're still searching for your true friends, just look up in the sky. Who knows, maybe you and your future best friends are all looking at the same rainbow." - Lesson #22

Neither, honestly. Depending on how you use them they are little more than attention-grabbing sites. You could very easily become addicted to continuously checking them for updates even if there are none.

At least Facebook has a way of allowing you to keep in contact with people on a private level. Maybe Twitter does too, I dunno I barely used it.

Just...be careful of what you say on there. Anything you put will be broadcasted to your friends and your friends' friends. Some people have been fired over things they've said on Facebook.

I use Facebook more than Twitter because I use Facebook to talk to long distance family. Though some of the people who use Facebook are clear attention whores or spam bots. They say stuff like "LIKE MY PAGE I PROMISED I WOULD GET THIS AMOUNT OF LIKES BEFORE MY GRANDMA DIED!" or they'll make the profile pic a chick model or male model and say "HEY LIKE MY PAGE I'M SO LONELY, IF YOU LIKE IT I'LL MESSAGE YOU!" or even better yet they'll tell a bull crap story of someone dying and then say "IF YOU DON'T POST THIS COMMENT TO 20 OTHER PAGES, THE GHOST WILL COME AND KILL YOU!"

Twitter I only use to keep up with the fim staff, I just followed other people at my school's twitters to be nice. Though it gets annoying when all they do is complain about how they don't wanna be there

So I use Facebook more often but have not preference you wanna know why?

Because Mlp Forums master race.

Dumbbook: a nice combination of excellently terribly raised attention whores marinated with a few assholes and egotrippers, sprinkled with terrible games that you constantly get invited to and the most phony online relationships that you could possibly have...

Twatter: how am I supposed to shove a meaningful, worthwhile message into 140 characters... Well, I worry about it, but the rest of twatter seems to handle the character limit just fine. Pretty relatable with ther brain capacity limit... I supposed they just have more experience with those kind of things.

I'm sorry, had some bad experiences with the two. But if i'd have to pick the shiniest of the two turds... I'd eat the turds so I wouldn't have to choose :D

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

Facebook and twitter are used for different things.

I have to have facebook to be able to say in touch and organise meetings, however twitter is great for instant updates ect.

Neither. I only do forums and blogs. I dislike sites that are just meant for bragging and updating your status every five minutes.

I like both for different reasons.

In Facebook, you can post as many characters as you want to, it isn't just limited to 140 characters. There are also other ings to try out there (games etc)

On the other hand, 140 characters on Twitter keeps things short and simple! Plus, you can Tweet easily. The format is also nice.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, it's up to you on which you want to use. I use Facebook more than Twitter, but I do use Twitter sometimes.
