    It is an honest possibility. But if they leave the fandom / the show for such a petty reason of change like this? Then why did they watch the show in the first place? All shows under go change for the better (usually). If a show doesn't change its setup than it runs the risk of hitting a formula and than it will get stale. MLP's characters have changed over time and became better with seeing there flaws. EQ maybe controversial, but I believe it is in good hands. Like many fellow bronies / pegasisters here are saying. It is the bloody drama everyone is getting sick of. I mean if people at DHX are getting to the point of wanting to quit for people attacking them without seeing the product they worked hard on. Then I can see a valid reason for people leave this fandom. We are better than this. We have accomplished so much in so little time. Don't let this stupid drama kill us.

    I would expect Twilight Sparkle to very focused on getting back home to resume her life, but then we would just hangout and exchange technology vs magic tips. It would be quite interesting to see if a human could learn MLP's magic and Twilight to see her attempt at programming. But if it is pre-Lesson Zero Twilight ... I would need to be a human shield for my computer due to some of her more ... extreme moments.

    I would have to say Gilda. Trixie at first was just irritating but she grew on me with how the fans took her character and added a lot of depth to her. Plus her additional episode with Magical Dual helped redeem her character with realizing her mistakes and apologizing for them. Gilda on the other hand is another story. I've read many good stories with her and Dash becoming friends again and that works for me. I do hope we get a Gilda episode later down the line with forgiving friends for past actions.

    I am guessing the reasoning for the ponies to made into humans for this movie is to rival Monster High. I don't understand why, if you want to make a pony movie. Then please make a pony movie with the characters and world we fell in love with, not a parody of our world. We like the show because it gives us engaging characters with depth and a unique world with lore to explore. Without that and the world just being a parody of our world. It makes it hard to care about it because it involves conflicts that are not engaging (Example: relationships, shallow drama, etc, etc....) and pointless. I hold out hope but I'm still wanting to write off the film as a failed experiment, I trust the animation and VA will be god-tier as usual but I am skeptical of the content. So we will just have to wait and see I guess.

    I have Love and Tolerance to a point. But we are just human after all. I have my threshold of how much I wish to give back, but I do like everyone else try to make the world a bit better for some people. I'm just an introvert with keeping to myself and stay in the background. I think I'm alot like other people, we follow the motto until pushed to the point where we ether reply but keeping a logical head or walk away and not deal with the stressful situation.

    I'd be fine with it as long as it doesn't bleed into the current MLP universe. We can't judge yet so I'll just wait until the show is put up online.

    That maybe the intention of the song due to everyone's negative reaction to Pinkie's antics throughout the episode. I'm the same with that song, just not that memerable imho. All the songs have at least something to remember them by, but this one is just Pinkie's western look which is an interesting look. Just the song kinda of falls flat

    Like before, just easier to say and summarized the enitre controversy behind the Alicorn Twight Sparkle situation. Kinda of like how we give nicknames to everything it seems somtimes.

    I do like Spike for having a bit more snark than the other characters, but his episodes really push his flaws and I understand that is the formula of the show with having a character flaw, addressing it and learning to overcome it. Spike's flaws are just realy pushed to the point of unlikable sometimes. I really do like his character and Spike is nice to have a male character to give a bit of balance to alot of the female characters. Personally I like his episodes, but they would not be any of my favorites since they are just 'ok'. But opinions are opinions.

    Maybe it'll wrap up with closing of the book shown in the intro. Like how the show wanted to give a fairly tale beginning and wrap up with that type of ending? Just a story with Twilight and her friends, which showed throughout the series how they grew and became the mares they are in the future of the series maybe? Also could be used to give final hurray to fans of every age group?

    Pinkie Pie has her great moments and the staff of the show really know how to use her for the best comedic effect, but she has moments that go way over head in terms of tone or just is too wacky in current situations. I do like though that she is aware of it and tones it down when needed. So a fair balance with her.

    I don't browse 4chan or any of the chan often, but when nice stories pop up on a site with such a reputation such as 4chan. It really shows the kinder and more gentle spirit of the net instead of it being the flame wars / trolling. Always nice to run into a story to make us see the great things we have in this world and to hold onto and make them last. So many feels from the story and thank you for posting it.

    Most definitely. The show is great on its own and would still have its fans if the brony community didn't sprout up. But I still see the show being all the more great with having such an awesome fanbase behind it.

    I would say no, but it doesn't exclude from being such a meaniful cartoon like it is to many others. I have many favorites and well this series will eventually be dated like the previous generations, but I can see this cartoon will last many years after its main run due such a passionate fanbase and how timeless the show is written. I still have nostalgia for many of my favorites form the 90's, but it comes with being a kid growing up with cartoons of the period (Dexter's Lab, Courage The Cowardly Dog, PPG, Cow & Chicken, Ed Edd Eddy, etc). Kind of like the current period with MLP, Regular Show and Adventure Time.

    If done right, then it could work. As a critique with the fandom being over dramatic at times and seems to hate major change at points (we've all been skeptical, but it pays off to wait and see sometimes). As long as the new character has a nice balance of positive and negative traits like the rest of the Mane 6. Plus all the more to explore other characters as well.

    Oh Meghan how you tease us so. I'll be excited for S4 and 24 episodes so many more pony related things than last time. With how everyone is pooring there heart out into this show. I'll be happy just getting another 2 seasons of this great show.

    I'd be willing to give everything as long as I have no previous memories of my former self on Earth. It would be just my life as a pony. It would be interesting, but then it seems like other worlds are more interesting sometimes than our world due to the impact we leave in such negative light alot of the time.

    I think it will be permenant. Many reasons, but they would not have gone through the effort of producing an entire musical biased episode like Magical Mystery Cure and then throw out the entire change in Twilight's character. I'm fine with this change as long as they do something creative with it and explore more of the concepts of being an Alicorn and the effects it has on her character.

    I really do enjoy a good dubstep song and I do agree with everyone in this thread that there is a lot of good and bad with relating to the genre. That is really true, but like anything dig hard enough and you'll find some nice gems. It maybe preference on what type of music or maybe just what style you're into. But for me, like many others it is all about getting pumped and doing something awesome while the bass is blaring.

    Easier to ignore them. They're mostly just out to troll and get reactions and ignoring them is the best solution. Keeps it simple and less drama involved.

    Well Derpy is popular for being somewhat of an avatar for the bronies in the show. She is adorable and like any popular character. She will have fan made content to express ideas and many other things around the character. Personally I really enjoy her the most with her travels with Doctor Whooves and fan content of that has not dissapoint.

    A next generation of the show could have the same following G4 has if they keep to the characters have some depth and being interesting and allowing for many situations that are creative and respectful to the audience would work. But Twilight isn't immortal such as Celestia and Luna (there needs to be an explination on what makes certain alicorns be immortal or not). I would dig a 5th generation after this one eventually ends, but with keeping with the style G4 has of interesting characters and world to explore without making the mistakes the past generations did.

    Agree'd. I've always seen ego as a problem more than helping. Maybe it is just me being an introvert and want to be in the background rather than the forfront. I've always seen that people need to be more humble and not allow there ego to come into play or run into the issue of a big ego, which just results in a brutal fall.
