  1. They would probably get into an argument over who is more powerful and handsome, given their egos...
  2. Tie between "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" and "Rainbow Falls". It's not really a surprise that Rainbow Dash's haters are so vocal and passionate...
  3. Nightmare Moon/Princess Luna's redemption was kind of necessary for the pilot, but...overall I was glad that Celestia finally got her sister back-as cheesy as it sounds. Trixie sort of had a moment at the end of 'Magic Duel' (which is technically the only time she was an actual 'villain') but, it was really hard to tell whether or not it was meant to be substantial given the the spin-off comics and the clips from the Equestria Girls universe. Currently, for all we know Discord isn't truly redeemed and is playing the rest of the cast for saps-so, I don't truly believe that he's actually reformed or redeemed. Sunset Shimmer, I think would definitely be entertaining to see being reformed considering her nature. Suri, Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, and Lord Tirek should stay bad (or gone in Sombra's case) as turning them good would definitely come off as forced. Gilda and Lightning Dust I'd put in the 'maybe' category to wait and see when/if they ever show up again.
  4. I have a few theories; -Time constraints. -Keeping Discord onboard the show's cast for fanservice, since viewership would decline if he were imprisoned in stone again, since he's a fan-favorite. -The Mane Six foolishly actually believed that a master of deception actually felt remorse for betraying them, when it easily could have been him being sorry for things working out in his favor and thus running back to Fluttershy with the crocodile tears to save himself in case they did defeat Tirek and is using their empathy against them. -The plot/Twilight's Key demanded it. -They felt sorry for him after seeing him betrayed by Tirek (minus Applejack) and now believe that after experiencing such pain himself, that he won't do it again. -Twilight still hates him, but recognized that he was no longer a threat with his magic gone.
  5. Favorite Episodes; -Princess Twilight Sparkle (The perfect follow-up to the disappointingly rushed 'Magical Mystery Cure') -Rarity Takes Manehattan (First episode she's has since Season 2 with a great antagonist) -Three's A Crowd (Discord and Cadance episode with Twilight) -Maud Pie (Hilarious) -Twilight's Kingdom (First decent premiere/finale villain since the end of Season 2) Honorable Mentions; -Bats! (The perfect Halloween episode, barring the jerkiness of the rest of the cast and to date the first and only Merriwether Williams episode I have ever liked/enjoyed) -Inspiration Manifestation (A good episode between Spike and Rarity) -Testing, testing 1,2,3 (The flaw of the premise aside, a good episode with a good lesson) -Pinkie Pride (Weird Al and Dashie's birthday party, that is all.) -Equestria Games (A good Spike moral applies to me, and an excellently executed maneuver by Polsky to circumvent the flaws presented by 'Rainbow Falls'. Worst Episodes; -Rainbow Falls (Easily the worst of this Season and one of the worst in the entire show with continuity errors galore, characters being shoe-horned into the plot for filler and fan-pandering, forced humor, Twilight's nonsensical speech, etc.) -Trade Ya! (Poor pacing, confusing moral, Rainbow and Pinkie's extremely negative characterizations and behavior solely for comedic effect increasing both character hateoms, Rarity and Applejack becoming petty caricatures of themselves, and Twilight's ruling bringing up disturbing questions of how many black market deals could be technically made legal by the Traders Exchange.) -Filli Vanilli (Inconsistency with Fluttershy's shyness after Rainbow Falls, her friends not knowing about her singing ability after hearing her sing solo before, Pinkie's consideration for Fluttershy's feelings from 'Griffon the Brush-Off' completely dropped to near sociopathic levels for comedic effect, as well as the glamorization of musical fraud.)
  6. Well, Tirek was technically right when he pointed out that friendship was a new form of imprisonment for him because in "Keep Calm and Flutter On" Fluttershy blackmailed him with the threat of breaking off their friendship if he didn't fix everything at the end. This was used again in 'Princess Twilight Sparkle' when he realized the Elements of Harmony were gone and Fluttershy flat out told him that she wouldn't be his friend anymore if he betrayed them. Before the episode Fluttershy was the only one willing to be his friend while the remaining cast only indulged him, despite their loathing of him for fear of either her being upset with them or that Discord would decide that friendship wasn't really worth changing for. With Tirek he saw an opportunity to be himself and have a friend, which easily beat Fluttershy's deal of only being able to have one or the other. It's also worth noting that he probably still harbors great contempt for the rest of the Mane Six ( maybe excluding Twilight, since she wound up saving him later) as Fluttershy was the only one he actually felt guilty for betraying once his decisions came back to bite him as evidenced by his dialogue singling her out.
  7. Let's see; Rainbow behavior in the Mysterious Mare Do Well and Rainbow Falls, her line in Hearth's Warming Eve; "It should be the Rainbow Dash Show! I'm the star!", the fact that she is the Wonderbolts biggest fan but doesn't know anything about their history, and still wanting to join them even after knowing what a bunch of jerks they are. So yeah, it happens a lot.
  8. No, I just think they have a stronger bond than most friends because she is literally the first friend Discord ever had and the only one of the Mane Six to ever show him kindness or care about him before the Twilight's Kingdom. Yes, they may indeed love each other-but, I feel it would be purely platonic.
  9. After being stabbed in the back so many times, the trait I've come to value most in a friend is Loyalty and Rainbow Dash's behavior in Griffon the Brush-Off made me like her. But the parallel's through what she was going through in Read It and Weep and what I was feeling about entering the fandom cemented that feeling.
  10. Celestia! Besides, it would explain why he was able to get under her skin so easily in the Return of Harmony and why she later decided to give him another chance by trying to reform him in Keep Calm and Flutter On as well as the the latest ship tease...it would give some more insight into these characters and their pasts.
  11. Try as I might, I found the artwork in Twi's issue very distracting. Most of the things listed about Dash's issue bugged me, not to mention that fact that she's actually a Wonderbolt in a story that takes place before even Season 3 in an official comic, but that it was contrived solely for the introduction for the conflict and her subsequent rescue at the beginning, her horrible, horrible dialogue, and Applejack was a HUGE jerk with her 'joke' towards the end making light of Dash losing her sole reason for living (glad to see she wasn't the one to talk to Scootaloo in 'Flight to the Finish'). Fluttershy having the dealing with the same problem as the majority of her episodes (sorry, but it's not like I let Dashie off the hook with her episodes, either.)
  12. Another awesome picture by twilite-sparkleplz;
  13. Too early to tell... Being an Alicorn Princess had a lot of thing I THOUGHT would be changed, but very few of them actually bore fruit-so I'd feel better saving my vote until we've seen a few episodes in Season 5. Especially since the castle didn't appear until the literal end of the finale, so we can't really be sure what she's thinking or feeling right now-much less the residents of Ponyville.
  14. I thought Equestrian holidays worked like this; Nightmare Night=Halloween Hearth's Warming Eve=Christmas Eve Hearts and Hooves Day=Valentine's Day I think it's done like this mostly to avoid unnecessarily shoehorning in religion to avoid flame wars from the fandom or certain overreactions from parent as these holidays are all based on historical record universally accepted as fact within the show; Nightmare Moon, the founding of Equestria, and the love poison rather than being followed by practitioners of a certain faith. This also could have been done to avoid alienating younger viewers who don't or can't celebrate Christmas.
  15. I would have said 'yes' if GT never happened...but, I really don't want to see a continuation of that series, especially since the Shadow Dragon saga pretty much ruined the concept of the dragon balls for me.
  16. I selected other because honestly EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE bothered me throughout out, it's like Season 4's 'Mysterious Mare Do-Well' for me where whenever its on the HUB I feel like either changing the channel or just turning off the TV because I KNOW it's going to tick me off big time. But, at least Dash's negative traits in MMDW despite being amplified, they were still in-character. The biggest effect this episode had on me was this; Even if others want to argue that The Wonderbolt's behavior was in character, it doesn't change the fact that they were jerks by abandoning Soarin at the drop of a hat, trying to steal Rainbow Dash instead of getting another Wonderbolt to replace her, it was unsportsmanlike conduct, and one would expect more discipline from such a famous and respected military unit-instead of the unscrupulous and borderline sociopathic behavior that was shown. In any case, this episode is the reason I hate Spitfire and the rest of the Wonderbolts (guess what my favorite scene in 'Twilight's Kingdom' was?), especially since their nature doesn't seem to have affected Dash at ALL in subsequent appearances.
  17. I believe they might be traditionally, but no one else notices because if they can change their appearance and their vocal chords magically to more accurately imitate a said pony, then I think it would be reasonable to assume that they could change the scents their bodies secrete to better match them as well as avoid suspicion. Otherwise, that would probably be a dead giveaway.
  18. As others have stated its probably due to lack of knowledge regarding what skills and magical abilities they posses as a race-Pegasi control weather, Earth Ponies grow crops and live off the fat o' the land, and Unicorns are incredibly skilled with magic-but, to my knowledge what skills the Crystal Ponies specifically possess in their role of Equestria is never really explained. And I think that's probably what causes most to shy away from making OC's of them.
  19. While I agree with a lot of the new castle's criticisms, I'm not really all that bent out of shape about it. In any case, I'm glad that her friends are actually getting recognition for a change with their thrones and becoming part of a royal council (with Spike!) Too bad Discord doesn't get one for being bad, though...
  20. Meh. I don't really care about the castle or its appearance one way or the other, but as already stated it does seem a bit out of place being a large crystaline structure sticking up in the center of a small village like Ponyville. It did surprise me though, because I honestly believed that Rainbow Power would have renovated the Royal Sisters old castle in the Everfree since the Mane Six were working on fixing it up, instead of a brand new one...
  21. As long as it doesn't interfere with the quality and number of episodes in a season of FiM as bad as the first EG did with Season 3, then this doesn't bother me-but, I can't really decide if I should be excited about it or not given that Rainbow Rocks isn't even out, yet...
  22. I think people are starting to lose interest or their drive to continue participating in the fandom. After hearing abut the JanAnimations C&D I significantly cut back on fanart to the point where I don't draw anymore, and I've lost the drive to keep working on stories (even deleting a few) just to be safe.
