  1. Cupcakes didn't really bother that much (and Dashie's my favorite). Mostly because I grew up watching horror films with my best friend, but also because my suspension of disbelief was broken halfway through the story for two reasons; -The health inspector would have caught something like that, someone would have gone to the basement as some point, or the stench of decay would be so bad, the Cakes would eventually go down to investigate. -With operations Pinkie was performing, Dash should have bled out long before the halfway mark and as FimFlamFilosophy astutely pointed out-it didn't seem like the author understood blood connections very well.
  2. I have a few, but I'll start out with 'Magical Mystery Cure' since it's less personal. Well, I hate the episode because of the horrible pacing making it feel like an odd mish-mash of two separate episodes awkwardly spliced together. There is also the fact that it was a musical, knowing this fact rubbed me the wrong way right out of the gates. But, there are other reasons; -Switching the Cutie Marks also confused me as to how easily it was done, could one pony turn another into a slave by changing their destiny? -If a pony's thoughts and memories are dictated by their destiny and Cutie Mark-do they even have free will? -What if it's someone's destiny to be a criminal, do they still get punished for doing what their destiny tells them? -Starswirl never understood friendship and the spell was incomplete when he gave up on it-did he test on other ponies and then leave them to suffer? -How does losing or swapping a Cutie Mark affect ones memory?
  3. No, you are not-every song within the show I've ever listened to that I like has been through acquired taste (except 'Bats!', 'This Day Aria', and 'The CMC Theme Song'). This is the reason I hated 'Magical Mystery Cure' so much, it felt like all the time the episode had to address Twilight and some of the fans' concerns at the time were unimportant next to the songs which half the time didn't really feel necessary to convey some of the points or help with the pacing too much in the end, either.
  4. I'm pretty sure the person that posted that is just trolling, Fluttershy is far too popular of a character both among the intended demographic and the older fanbase for Hasbro to throw away such a good merchandising investment.
  5. The only time I've ever hated Celestia was for her extremely self-centered actions in the "Reflections" arc of the IDW comics. That's, why I prefer her in the show where she's not really like that.
  6. -Sunset helps out the Mane Six after making amends and can finally return to Equestria. -Flash has more of a character this time. -More human counterparts shown (Lightning Dust, Suri Polomare, Gilda, Cheese Sandwich, Octavia, The Wonderbolts, Cadance, Shining Armor, Zecora, etc.) -The film will solely take place in the human world or an explanation will be given as to how the mirror is opened again before two years have passed, rather than a complete retcon ignoring the fact from the first film.
  7. In the show and my headcanon, I see her as a benovelent ruler. But, if the IDW comics are canon...then based on what I've seen in the "Reflections" arc, she comes across to me as a spoiled, self-centered, vindictive brat through her actions and dialogue, as well as a huge hypocrite.
  8. It's okay-I just wanted to clarify that not all of these sentiments are my own.
  9. I'm not upset by it. This was a reason I've actually seen cited by someone for hating her on deviantART.
  10. This one hit me because of Dash's emotional downturns in "Sonic Rainboom", "The Mysterious Mare Do-Well", "Daring Don't" and "Testing, testing...1,2,3"
  11. Well, in the Equestrian Games Spitfire seemed to beat her quite easily and after becoming an Alicorn, Twilight was able to perform a Sonic Sparkboom at the Summer Sun Celebration... And in her Hot Minute, she admitted that AJ is probably the only one who could beat her on the ground.
  12. But, in "Three's A Crowd" when he accused Twilight of not really being his friend because she never wrote or visited him, she says that she doesn't even know where he lives. Wouldn't Fluttershy share something like that with them...or someone see him there while visiting her?
  13. Well, Big Mac is not very social-so he may just delegate those duties to AJ, knowing that she's more comfortable with them, and based on her line in "Applebuck Season" about his 'fancy mathematics' it's probably safe to assume that in addition to helping out with physical labor-he may also help a great deal with finances (still waters run deep, after all.) EDIT: Whoops, I guess someone beat me to the first point while I was typing. Granny Smith has quite a bit of wisdom and experience with the Zap Apples, but I don't think her expertise is solely limited to that area as she has literally been working on a farm since the founding of Ponyville. Applebloom also appears to try and help out when she can. So while AJ may be the 'face' of Sweet Apple Acres, I feel like it's more of a team effort than an operation being run by a single individual.
  14. My personal headcanon has her as Dash's mother.
  15. Here are my hopes; -Sunset Shimmer gets a cameo as her pony self (since Flash has already had two, and the existence of Rainbow Rocks this early since Twilight's last visit to the human world seems to imply that the time limit for the portal has been retconned.) -Skyla stays out of the show's canon (we already have Pound and Pumpkin for foal characters and seeing Shining Armor and Cadance as parents would just feel weird to me.) -The Cutie Mark Crusaders don't get their Cutie Marks this Season (that seems like something more fitting for the show's final season to wrap up their character arcs-especially since they won't really be the CMC anymore without the crusading.) -Grogar as the main villain for the finale. -Rainbow Dash finally realizing what a bunch of jerks the Wonderbolts are and figuring out she's better than them (because she has morals), and making a new, better time of fliers. -The return of Trixie, Suri, Lightning Dust, Gilda, and/or Queen Chrysalis. -Scootaloo remains flightless (I feel dealing with the handicap makes her a stronger character and someone who can inspire fans with a disability-since, Stellar Eclipse seems like a one-off character). -No member of the Mane Six being in an on-going romantic relationship; the title of the show is 'Friendship is Magic' and I feel like the constant emphasis of romance would ruin it-besides, Shining Armor and Cadance were married in an episode focusing on romantic love, as well as the episode 'Hearts and Hooves Day'. -More backstory on Discord, Celestia, and Luna. -Explanation on what happened to Scorpan, his brother is still alive after all of this time-so he couldn't have died of age... -And finally, and explanation on what the point was of fixing up the Castle of the Two Sisters, since that plotline was introduced and dropped for no reason last season, so...was it pointless filler or what?
  16. Tie between Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer.
  17. Survival-Horror games that are actually scary. But, it seems like kind of a niche genre...
  18. I don't think so-she made a mistake in pain and anger (since her life was in shambles, thanks to the Mane Six humiliating her for doing what stage magicians need do to live by showing off and utilizing sleights of hand onstage) and when she apologized, it was shown that she was feeling a great deal of remorse for her actions as when Twilight forgave her she let out a sigh of relief and replied "Oh, good..." Trixie was also possessed by dark magic at the time and that would be a bit of a double-standard if she was punished after the spell was lifted, yet Luna got a pass for returning and her actions in the premiere as Nightmare Moon after having the dark magic exorcised from her through the Elements and living comfortably with her sister and returning to her duties as Princess of the Night, rather than being imprisoned for trying to take over Equestria and bringing forth eternal night again. And in "Twilight's Kingdom"
  19. I believe it could be any of the Princesses, given how stressful their jobs can be-especially since, in "Game Ponies Play" Cadance taught Twilight a technique to deal with stress.
  20. Well, Dash is my favorite member of the Mane Six-but, I am not blind to the problems that are present in her character. A lot of it has to do with either the way she's written, her ego, Insecurity, occasional stupidity (which is far more prevalent in the IDW comics), being a tomboy, and her not 'living up to her Element' have all been reasons I've heard from others who do hate her. Plus, the in majority of Merriwether Williams' episodes she is portrayed quite negatively; "The Mysterious Mare Do-Well" highlights her negative attributes (especially her ego) and pushes them to the extreme (tossing a baby to another pony, jeopardizing the life of a falling pony to sign autographs, and her desperation to be loved by others through trying to get praise for menial tasks like mowing the lawn and opening a jar of peanut butter (stupidity) and then moping on the cloud in a horrible bout of depression, when she realizes nobody cares about her now that they have Mare Do Well, which along with her anxiety attack in "Sonic Rainboom", has made many of her haters feel that she is pathetic. In "Hearth's Warming Eve" when Applejack tells her that it isn't the 'Rainbow Dash Show' before the play, she replies "Well, it SHOULD be! I'M THE STAR!" (There's that ego, again.) "Bats!" had her and the rest of her friends completely disregard Fluttershy's concern's for the bats, but her reason it shown in the episode to be a part of her cider addiction, rather than through any sense of Loyalty to Applejack as a friend when taking her side (lack of Loyalty). But, she has been written quite poorly by other writers as well; "Dragonshy" written by Meghan McCarthy has her being irritated by Fluttershy constantly slowing them down, which others have accused her of being a jerk for. "Rainbow Falls" written by Corey Powell has her trying to train with the Wonderbolts and still wants to join them, despite the fact that they are clearly shown as jerks with no sense of ethics or morality in this episode so she can live her dream, despite the fact that the whole point of trying out for the games was so Ponyville could qualify. Her insanely poor choice for 'athletes' to represent the town-(who obviously couldn't care less about qualifying or the games themselves), while claiming that she could carry the team herself. She then fakes an injury to avoid having to make the painfully obvious choice in the episode. (Stupidity, Ego, and a lack of Loyalty that made no sense, unless she was blinded by the Wonderbolt's supposed 'greatness'.) "Testing, testing...1,2,3" written by Amy Keating Rogers has her portrayed as not knowing a thing about the Wonderbolts, despite being their biggest fan and knowing enough details about them for Rarity to impress Fancy Pants by accurately assessing Fleetfoot thanks to this knowledge, which portrays her as either stupid or so shallow that she only cares about the current roster of the team. So again, since she's always been my favorite character, there's a reason my icon is a despondent Rainbow Dash and episodes like the aforementioned two in Season 4 don't inspire much confidence in me for the writer's trying to rectify these issues in the future-there are also some users on her I try to avoid after learning about their strong hate for her (to avoid being attacked by them when they realize I don't share the same sentiment).
  21. I hated this episode for a few reasons; Dash wanting to trade for a first edition Daring Do book, despite the fact that she KNOWS Daring personally, went on an adventure with her, AND was featured in the book written after the fact which was sent to her for FREE. But, that could just be chalked up to Dash being written as an idiot (which unfortunately, seems to become a trend in both the comics and the show itself.) The return of Pinkie Pie's attitude reaching the uncomfortable levels of dark in 'Filli Vanilli' when she threatens the filly and her behavior of making it a point to dress up and act like the Flim Flam brothers to get rid of Twilight's books and then using "Princess! Princess! Princess!" as a selling point. Twilight's concept of 'fairness', I understand trying not to be bias when close friends are involved-but, Dash was obviously unsatisfied given how desperately she tried to fix her (insanely stupid) mistake AND the Daring Do fangirl who decided that the Orthros was crazy AFTER Fluttershy calmed it down, only wanted her to stay until the Orthros was trained-not forever, which is how it is treated by the episode.
  22. I agree with you. The only reason that Dash wearing a dress in Equestria Girls bothered me was because she was wearing it while playing soccer and that doesn't seem very practical to me, this also confused me because as an athlete she should have realized that was a poor choice for athletic gear. I also thought of one you missed; Rainbow Dash cuddling one of the Parasprites when the girls found out about them because they thought they were cute.
  23. Metroid: Other M Fable II: The final boss can be killed with a one-shot, Reaver will even do it for you! Fable III: The fight that the game was preparing you for since the beginning against your brother was nonexistent-he literally gives up as soon as you reach him. DmC (Devim may Cry: Devil May Cry) I only enjoyed the combat (minus the lack of a lock-on system) and one boss fight, those are the only good things I have to say about it. Resident Evil 5: Sheva's Incompetent AI, Roid Rage Chris, no scares, etc. Resident Evil 6: Annoying CoD storyline for Chris and Piers, Annoying CoD/Stealth storyline for Jake and Sherry, and a large chunk of Leon and Helena's storyline in the beginning is blatantly ripping off Left 4 Dead. Mass Effect 3: For more than just the ending believe it or not, finding and managing tasks in the codex is a nightmare, my Shepard was accused of blowing up a planet (when did THAT happen?), Kai Leng is literally unstoppable in the first fight (why not just make that into a cutscene, then?) and he literally appears out of nowhere halfway through the game with almost non-existent backstory, That stupid kid that keeps haunting Shepard, despite the fact that he has lost several friends and countless more allies-THAT is what bothers him through all of this. The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker for it's lazy artstyle, the constant sailing and changing the direction of the wind, and those Triforce shards-even with a map from the strategy guide as a kid I was never able to find all of them. Bioshock 2: I was so disappointed by it, I'm afraid to give Infinite a chance.
  24. I doubt that it will pan out that way, since each season to date has had a subsequently longer hiatus between airings (8 months between season 3 and 4), plus on the official facebook they stated that Season 5 would be in 2015.
  25. Actually, I highly doubt that cider is alcoholic. For starters it's a kid's show and if that were the case it wouldn't have the rating it does here in the U.S. or at the very least the episode would have been banned or something edited. Secondly, Spike was shown to be enjoying a mug of cider in a picture and he's around the same age as the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Third, it's more than likely that she greatly enjoys the cider and it was meant to drive home the products quality given that it was introduced in the first episode with Flim and Flam, plus the MAJORITY of other residents have also been shown to enjoy the cider to such an extent, so even IF what you are accusing her of is true, then most of Ponyville has the same problem.
