  1. Remember Rainbow Dash sneaking up on ponies on a cloud during Nightmare Night and suddenly causing a lightning strike to scare them? Think that. Only, they don't miss with the lightning. They have other ways, too. Oh, look at that strategically positioned unicorn village down there. Wouldn't it be just awful if they suddenly got hit with ten feet of snow in the middle of July!
  2. Christianity is supposed to be a positive religion, with a central theme of Love thy neighbour. Now, go read up on the Crusades, and everything since.
  3. Religions are societal cancer. You cannot make a religion so benign it cannot be used to manipulate the weak minded faithful. Just do not go there.
  4. Possible, yes, but not as easily or as long-term as if you made them by actually seeing them on a regular basis.
  5. There were some traumatic moments in Twilight's past.
  6. Check if the VA has a website, and if so, check that. Some celebrities do exactly that, sending an autographed picture for a small fee to cover costs.
  7. I am a natural born Canadian citizen. I am now taking bids for my sponsorship of an American individual or family to immigrate to Canada. Bids will start at seven figures.

  8. Unfortunately, this usually means that the Christmas decor comes out immediately after Halloween. At least in tge U.S. there is still an accepted three-week reprieve for November.
  9. Fawlty Towers, Black Adder and Red Dwarf are my all-time faves. I should put in a special mention for Rumpole of the Bailey, though, since that show had a relative of mine playing a secondary character.
  10. @@dragon4111 Applejack was just bringing her first basket of freshly bucked apples to the cart parked in front of the orchard when she looked up to see the pony approaching Sweet Apple Acres' front gate. She had to blink a few times to make sure her eyes weren't playing tricks on her, though. No, sure enough, some pony was coming up to the farm dressed to the nines like it was the Grand Galloping Gala. "Well, don't that beat all," she muttered to herself before trotting up to the gate to meet the stranger. "Howdy!" she called. "You look like you're goin' somewhere. Can I help y'all figure out where?"
  11. While I'm sure Twilight's library in the castle is wide open to every pony in Ponyville, especially after the loss of the Golden Oaks Library, I can imagine some ponies thinking they would be intruding on the Princess by asking to use it. An episode about Twilight championing an actual replacement would be interesting.
  12. No, they're not. Animating newer, older versions is more work. That's why the Crusaders also haven't changed at all, barring their cutie marks.
  13. Depends entirely on how long toys and licensed merch keeps selling, however, I'm hoping for at least nine, so they can get to a 200th episode.
  14. Comet Tail. Shooting Star. Constellation. Those are off the top of my head.
  15. Tara Strong deserves a star on the Walk of Fame. Twilight Sparkle does not. Mickey Mouse was granted a star fifty years after his creation, and is still instantly recognizable today, forty years after that. Tinker Bell is likewise instantly recognizable because Disney used her as a backup mascot for a number of decades, and her star was only added in 2010. The other animated characters on the walk are those that also had lasting impacts. In fact, the only two that had perhaps the shortest span of years, but no less popularity, and have stars are Shrek and the Rugrats. MLP is huge, but still has a long way to go before it could justify putting any of its characters on a star.
  16. You've never been to a showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, have you? I don't give a damn what others think. Screw them if they don't like it.
  17. Antagonists in anime tend to have way more fun!
  18. Link to OOC Thread. @@dragon4111 Applejack read the help wanted ad she had composed in the newspaper one more time, just to make sure it was all right and that ponies would know where to come. Every year, it seemed, the job got bigger, and even with Apple Bloom taking on more of a share of the workload, it still never seemed enough to keep up with the number of trees starting to grow fruit every year. Hopefully a few hired hooves would be the way to keep up without exhausting everybody. She just hoped those who applied knew how to kick a tree just right. Finishing her breakfast quickly, she put the dishes in the sink, placed her hat upon her head, and trotted out to begin the day.
  19. Heck no. The between-season and mid-season hiatuses are bad enough without getting left hanging.
  20. Daring Do seems to spend so little time in Equestria in the first place that being around when it needed her might not always happen. Also, to suddenly have Daring Do fight with the Mane 6 would likely raise some uncomfortable questions about her line of novels later.
  21. Well, I called it. Not so much as a credit, byline or acknowledgement. I guess they figured that after two and a half years I'd either have been gone or forgotten, but that wouldn't have made it any better. I'm sorry I allowed my work to be used and I'm disappointed in this place - again - but I am absolutely NOT surprised.

  22. This isn't new. It's been around in Europe for at least three years.
  23. The finale wasn't leaked. It aired legitimately on British television. When I first got into MLP, it didn't air in my country for six months after it aired in the U.S. And the show is made in my country. If it's out there, I'm grabbing it rather than dealing with spoilers for who knows how long. I can keep my mouth shut until it airs elsewhere, but I know others can't.
  24. I chose resources in both. People who have their basic needs met tend not to start wars. Though, as we've seen, it doesn't take countries to start wars any more, just a group of crazies off their rockers who want to start their own country. While feeding, housing and clothing everyone would be a good start and go a long way, I'm not sure it would be all-encompassing, though. Humans seem to have a knack for finding reasons to kill each other. As the saying goes, only the dead have seen the end of war.
