  1. Chrysalis really is a great villain. I'd love to see her in the show again. It'd be great if they developed her character a bit.
  2. Yeah. The Librarian wandered Equestria until she met the Didact. Other note: I want to live in Twi's library. That is the most awesome house ever. And she even has a frickin awesome mad scientist basement that they only show in Pinkie Keen and never again.
  3. LOL. But seriously, OP, that's pretty awesome. It always cheers me up to hear stuff like that.
  4. This is great stuff, OP. Very funny! I was actually going to make a similar thread if one didn't exist. On a similar note, hypothetically, I think the idea of a Roger Rabbit style live action MLP crossover could be amazing. Like you said, just imagine that Equestria is a real place, like Toon Town, and all the ponies are real actors. You could have them get in some sort of mischief and adventures in the real world. Or perhaps it would be funnier and better still to just watch them working on the set with the production crew. Oh, you know what would be amazing?! They should do a ficticious behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of MLP with this exact idea. That would be incredible. Imagine live action, real world interviews with animated ponies about their experiences making the show. Twilight could say something like, "So I heard that Lauren Faust was looking for a unicorn to play this Twilight character. I had done a couple commercials for Hasbro, you know, but I didn't really think I was that good. And then my agent calls me and says, 'Lauren wants you! She thinks you're perfect!' I'm like, what? You're kidding! When we all started this we never imagined it would be this big." Lol! Wouldn't that be awesome?! On a completely serious note, I think they should absolutely include a few outtakes after each episode. I mean, if they did this for real, obviously Hasbro wouldn't poke fun at the problems with the episode, as the OP has so briliiantly done. But seriously, they should include some ficticious bloopers. Imagine a serious scene with Chrysalis, and she just looses it and starts laughing. Then she'd go, "Ok, I got it this time." Then she'd immediately start busting up again, then be like, "Ok, ok, I'll get it together, I promise." Oh man, just imagine all of them messing up their lines and cracking up. Kids would love it, it wouldn't hurt the show at all. I can't think of one single reason not to do outtakes. It would be so amazing.
  5. This is a pretty common thing with animated stuff. I reckon more often than not it's one person doing the speaking and another doing the singing with animated characters. I think the odds are very slim to find one actor than can do it all with just the right voice. And singing is so difficult as well. Aladdin is an example. Al and Jas each have separate actors to do the singing parts.
  6. My darkest fear is just lonliness. Dying alone, basically. Simple as that. And this is probably going to be the case for me.
  7. I LOVE doing this! As for me, I get to this point when I watch James and Mike Mondays the Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe, and in the comments I see someone said "Whatever you do, don't goggle 'Robert Mapplethorpe'. My eyes!!!" And then I just have to do it. After looking through the results for a couple minutes, I figure it's about time to shut down for the night. Holy crap.
  8. Most other mammals have expressive ears that they can move to show emotion and pick up sound. I've always wished humans had ears like that. I mean, it would look really strange if people could suddenly move their ears, but I'm talking about what if humans evolved to have mobile ears like horses. I love the idea of being able to flatten your ears when angry or upset, or prick them up when happy or excited. I figure it would be voluntary. Like, you wouldn't have to move your ears, so if you don't want others to be able to read your emotions you could remain immobile. But I love the idea of that whole other dimension of expression. Thoughts?
  9. I'm surprised I haven't seen this clip on the forums yet. I've pictured any number of ponies doing this, lol. This was soooo Luna in Lune Eclipsed. I mean, with that royal Canterlot voice, what else could you picture?
  10. Yeah, and I think his crush on Rarity is adorable.
  11. Because many people like living in the stone ages.
  12. Have you ever heard the legend of the cowboy that jumped out of a twenty story window, and as he fell past the second story window, he looked in at the people inside and said, "So far, so good!" And now, with the twenty character minmum satisfied, I can say....good day.
  13. I am who I'm suppose to be. I'm content being male. I'm not trans in any way. But for a lot of complex reasons, I've often felt like, somehow, my life would have been easier/better if I was female. Often times I kind of wish I was born female. But I know that wouldn't really solve anything. I probably wouldn't actually feel differently. I would just have different problems from a different perspective. I could write a friggin book on this, but I don't want keep going on about it anymore right now. And btw, OP, I get what you're saying. I don't think you're alone in the way you feel. I have close friends who have similar feelings.
  14. Heh, I actually love this one, but I kinda feel this way about "What My Cutie Mark is Telling Me." It's not bad, it's just...idk, something about the melody just resonnates wrong with me. It's sets my teeth on edge, lol. And yeah, this. But for my very least favorite, I think I'd have to say CMC's performance in Show Stoppers, if that counts. It was just...embarassing. But then again that was the point.
  15. Can't say that I ever have. I'm a pretty boring guy and I've never even been close to being the target of discrimination. And I'm thankful for that, really. I'll admit that I'm pretty sensitive, and being the target of hatred or intolerance is not something I could easily recover from. It's a character flaw of mine, admittedly. Actually, since becoming a brony, I feel like for the first time in my life I'm actually a member of a group that often receives unfair and unwarrented intolerance and hatred. It's definitely a new feeling and experience for me. Now, I haven't actually had anyone personally show hatred towards me, but I haven't told that many people I'm a brony either, as I don't get out much and I've only been a brony for couple of months.
  16. 2, definitely. I've never really been that crazy about the human race, and I've always fantasized about being with an alien or anthro character or something. And even better if I could be transformed into one as well. Like, basically, James Cameron's Avatar. That would be my ultimate dream, right there. Or being a Khajit or to a lesser extent an Argonian from Elder Scrolls. That kinda stuff really appeals to me. Like, just from a harmless fantasy standpoint, ideally I'd love to end up with a non-human mate like a Na'vi or a Khajit or some Star Trek humanoid alien or something. And an anthro pony would be just perfect. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't be completely happy if I found the right mate irl. It's just fantasy.
  17. I'm kinda annoyed with whole selfie meme. When I look through my eHarmony matches, every single photo is a blurry selfie where they just stand in their bathroom and snap a picture of the f*ckin mirror. You can hardly even tell what they look like. Nobody seems to care enough to actually pose for a picture and make it look decent. All of my profile pics are either nice pictures that someone took of me, or ones where I posed, used a tripod, set up some nice lighting, etc. The whole selfie fad just irritates me because it seems to have made it "cool" to take crappy pictures.
  18. I think this is a really fun idea. I'd never actually get a tattoo because I'm afraid of doing something so permanent and knowing my luck I would be allergic to the ink and end up with scar tissue or maybe hepatitis. I always wanted a L'Cie brand from FFXIII on my upper arm, but I'd just be way too scared. I'd also be afraid that too many people would misunderstand it and think it's some gang related thing or something. But ideally speaking, if I could be 100% sure there would be no negative side effects, and if it could be easily removed if I changed my mind, I'd do it. Like, say if we lived in Star Trek times and you could just, like, wave a little triquater type device over your skin and make the tattoo appear instantly, and if you change your mind, you just wave it over again and it's gone, then I'd definitely get a L'Cie brand and a cutie mark. I think I'd want to try to design my own cutie mark, though. But then it would probably just end up being a green triangle, a red square, an orange circle, and a blue X...
  19. This is the inevitable problem of an adult fanbase of a kid's show. We all love MLP, but we want it to be Game of Thrones quality writing, storytelling, and continuity. And that's just not going to happen. Sometimes it can be fun to analzye the show, point out funny plot holes and such. I for one enjoy doing that. I'm just that type of person. But I still absolutely love the show. I'll watch an episode, love it, then point out some funny error, like why Twilight can easily levitate the entire group, as evident in Games Ponies Play, but then when they are falling to their deaths, like in Wonderbolt's academy, she seems to conveniently forget that she can do magic. See? There I go again. I just have fun doing that. But to me, it's only a joke. I don't get all whirled up about it and angry. I think it's important to remember that while it may be fun to analyze, we also shouldn't go overboard. We should also remember that many of the folks overanalyzing the show, myself including, are just joking and doing it in a lighthearted manner. A big problem with text is you can't hear vocal tone. So when you read gripes about episodes on the forums, it may sound overly critial or even angry, but if you could hear the person talk, you might find that it's more lighthearted. Now, I don't really watch video reviews, so I can't speak to that. But I definitely agree with you, OP. Now, I admit that I often wish we could have Game of Thrones quality writing, but I know it's just a kids show. I want to enjoy it. I don't want to analyze to point of souring myself. (I.e. deciding that Celestia is a bitch in Magical Mystery Cure, as so many believe, and not liking her anymore, or stuff like that.) I have made a conscious decision to accept the continuity errors, accept imperfection, and just relax and enjoy the magical moments. Enjoy the music. Enjoy the characters. Enjoy the friendships. It's easy to get soured by overanalyzing. MLP can be such a beautiful thing, if you let it.
  20. I just finished watching season 3. I have seen 4 random episodes from season 4 (the first ones I ever saw.) I thought Magical Mystery Cure was well done, albeit rushed. It should have been a 2-part. Beside the point. I wasn't at all opposed to Twi becoming an alicorn, but honestly I think that her transformation/coronation as a princess should have been the series finale. Imo, they should have waited until the end of the entire show to do this episode. I think if they split Magical Mystery Cure into, say, a 3-part episode, it would have made en epic series finale. I'm a big advocate in ending franchises on a high point and leaving the fans wanting more. I love the idea of her coronation in Canterlot being the last thing we see, and it's just left up to our imagination what she's going to do now as a princess. But I know most people will disagree. At the very least, I think they should have waited one more season.
  21. I take public riding lessons regularly at a stables near my house, and I spend a lot of time with the lesson horses. It's long been a dream of mine to have my own horse, if I ever had the space or money, which I don't see realistically happening. I have so many great names in mind for horses as well. If I had a chestnut brown mare with a white mane and tail, I wouldn't have any other choice but to name her Epona. I'd love to have a dun gelding named Irvine, a Clydesdale gelding or other very large breed (like a Percheron) name Ike. A jet black Friesan gelding named Diablo. And I would definitely want mares named Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight. I think the other three wouldn't make for as good of real life horse names. Oh yes, a Luna as well. Cadence would be great too, and she would definitely have the full name too; Mi Amore Cadenza. How sweet would that be if you were at a riding competition where they anounce the horses names, you know, like how they say "next we have so and so riding what's-his-face," and of course, in the western competitions, the names are always ridiculous phrases like Bottle O' Booze, or Designer Jeans, or some such. (I'm not even exaggerating, that's what they name them.) Anyway, how sweet would it be to have them announce Princess Mi Amore Cadenza? A man can dream....a man can dream...
  22. Discord, (Q), appears to be omnipotent, so I'm gonna say, no, nothing and no one could ever oppose him except another Q, and then it would be an eternal stalemate. Although...he seems to be incapable of stopping the Elements of Harmony. I guess that's his Kryptonite. So...I guess if Goku and Vegeta and Picolo put on the Elements, they could beat him? Now THERE'S a funny image. Goku: "We've tried everything! Nothing can beat this guy!" Twilight: "You haven't tried everything." Goku: "Whattyu mean?" Twilight: "You haven't tried Friendship." Vegeta: "Oh f*ck." *facepalms*
  23. There aren't enough brohoofs in the world for this post.
  24. Honestly, hypothetically, Twi would probably be my ideal soul mate. Right, exactly. There ya go.
