  1. I highly doubt it, considering that G2 was the shortest-lived and worst-received toyline of My Little Pony. Besides, can you name a single character from that generation? By the way, Friendship Gardens is the name of a video game, the only piece of media ever created for G2, released for Windows 95 in 1997. A Nintendo 64 port was planned but later cancelled.
  2. But Pinkie Pie didn't die after eating the Baked Bads and vomiting, so it's still an error. Besides, a couple of worms aren't enough meat to kill a horse, in fact they would probably pass through undigested. Well, their bodies certainly aren't above other forms of life, so it would be really hard for them to develop that taste, unless they enjoy frequent stomach pumpings.
  3. Pinkie Pie's exact quote in Over a Barrel is that ponies are "strictly herbivores". Them eating eggs (or chocolate) is probably due to the writers not knowing or researching about proper horse diet. Heck, Lauren Faust stated early on that she intended the ponies to be as anatomically and physiologically correct as possible, yet in third (or second) episode they had them vomiting, which is impossible for a horse to do.
  4. In fact, legally she's not an immigrant, or even a person at all. She would be considered livestock, and be subject to import laws, not immigration laws, or in the case she got into the US by herself, it would be considered an act of god.
  5. The reason she wasn't executed is that only Twilight has a license to kill, and she choose to try redeeming her instead, so everyone else has to swallow it up. A foolish decision, maybe, but it wouldn't be the first one Twilight makes.
  6. 1. I don't think the comics are cannon. 2. Starswirl being more powerful than Celestia and Luna is impossible. If he was, why didn't Celestia just call him to deal with Nightmare Moon when she betrayed them? 3. Twilight may have meant he was the most powerful unicorn, and Rainbow just paraphrased what she said, after all she wouldn't know anything about magical prowess.
  7. I mean Twilight when she was still an unicorn, as an alicorn she would rank above Starswirl, on par with Cadence, and only below Celestia and Luna. Who do you say managed to best Twilight? Please, let's not get into comparisons between horns and... that...
  8. I higly doubt it. If we were to rank unicorns from most to least powerful, I think they would be: 1. Starswirl the Bearded 2. Former unicorn Twilight Sparkle 3. Sunset Shimmer 4. The students of Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns 5. Starlight Glimmer 6. Trixie Lulamoon 7. Rarity, and the average unicorn. Well, she did get a larger horn after becoming an alicorn, so that must account for something...
  9. Given the events that occurred in the Season Finale, I just have to ask this question: Is Twilight Sparkle completely oblivious and defenseless against any threat against her? Specifically, I'm talking about the fact that she had so many opportunities to stop Starlight Glimmer from doing anything harmful, and failed to act on any of them. I'll list and explain them below: 1. After freeing Starlight's village and having her run away, why didn't Twilight give a detailed description of Starlight, and have her put on a Most Wanted list with a hefty bounty? Given how Starlight openly wandered around Canterlot and Ponyville, she would've been caught very quickly, and would've been left to rot away safely in a dungeon, without Twilight having to encounter her ever again. 2. If Twilight suspected she was being targeted by Starlight, why didn't she take any measures to protect herself? She could've had the Royal Guard hunt down Starlight, and placed herself under witness protection or something similar. Instead she just hopes her suspicions are wrong, and upon the suggestion that Starlight may be planning to attack her, she just freezes and shakes in panic. Even if/when it came to a direct confrontation with Starlight, she should've been able defend herself, by force if necessary, rather easily. I'm getting to that shortly. 3. Related to the above, why didn't Twilight get guards for her castle? Surely she should have some permanent protection against an attempt on her life. Or at the very least, why didn't she lock her castle, and install an alarm system or, if they have such technology, closed-circuit television? It's like she wasn't even trying, and just treated her castle as an extension of public space. 4. When Twilight was finally confronted by Starlight, how come she just stood there like an idiot while waiting for Starlight to do anything to her? This is approaching Princess Toadstool Peach levels of helplessness, and even then, Peach was able to defend herself in one game, whilst Twilight had to convince "Bowser" to "let her go". Which leads me to the last point; 5. When it came down to a direct fight between them, how come Twilight didn't just waste Starlight right there and then? She is an alicorn with a lot of magical experience, she should've been able to curb-stomp her immediately, or at the very least gained the upper hoof pretty soon, but instead she drags it out until they're both exhausted (again, how come?) and then she doesn't even finish the job. Even if that timeline is ruined, with Starlight dead she would've been able to go back again and let things run their proper course. Does Twilight really not know anything at all about fighting or strategy? That's pretty baffling, especially considering how often it depends on her to save the world, which she witnessed in the multiple timelines. So, I'll leave you to discuss what do you think about these facts, and whether this is a character trait or simply the result of poor writing.
  10. The plants haven't died simply because there hasn't been enough time. Eventually all living things will die, so, I'd say she would be a terrible ruler. (Also, Luna sucks at politics too.)
  11. Although I never thought it was an utopia, it certainly destroys the idea of it being an innocent place (like it was depicted prior to Friendship is Magic).
  12. My least favorite episodes, in no particular order: Appleoosa’s Most Wanted: Troubleshoes is first discriminated and criminalized, then he isn't treated seriously, and is finally forced to accept his fate as a clown. Tanks for the Memories: Features Rainbow Dash vastly overreacting to a minor issue, engaging in criminal behavior and getting away with no consequences (this seems to be Cindy Morrow's characterization of Rainbow Dash). Rarity Investigates!: The one time Rainbow Dash is tried, it is a travesty of justice. Princess Spike: Spike loses about 30 IQ points, I guess because of the altitude of Canterlot. Party Pooped: There was no reason the ponies had to put up with the Yaks' behavior.
  13. Obviously the barren wasteland, since everything there is dead (and Tirek's, which is on its way there). But apart from that, it would be Nightmare Moon's, because no one is putting a resistance against her, but she needs to die, or else her eternal night will eventually cause the death of all living things in Equestria. After that it would be Chrysalis', since ponies (and zebras) would be eradicated, then Sombra's, which leads to a war, then Discord's, which is a hilarious mess, and finally the Flim Flam Brothers', which ends up in global warming and property encroachment (about the same as our world).
  14. This thread can already be unpinned, since it's gone past its use.
  15. As of S2E3 - Luna Eclipsed, he was in the Ponyville Retirement Village, according to Twilight Sparkle, and apparently suffering from senile dementia, according to Spike.
  16. Here's the description that accompanied this picture: This seems to imply that Stalin Starlight Glimmer took over Ponyville.
  17. Plot wise the episode was OK, although the Countess is a blatant parody of Lady Gaga. The song was rather nice though. I wonder who voiced Coloratura/Rara outside of singing?
  18. It may be interesting, but there's a few problems with the idea. First, there would be no way of having them meet without at least half of them suffering psychiatric injury. And it would be hard to fit into the plot at this point.
  19. OP updated to make it more useful.
  20. First, I think just a blush is way too little to confirm a romantic relationship. The fandom, particularly the shippers and cloppers, are too eager to jump on anything that may remotely suggest such a relationship. Unless clearly depicted as a couple in later episodes, I'll write it off as a one-time scene. And second, the idea that they may be committing incest because they may be related doesn't really make sense, since the beginning of Pinkie Apple Pie makes it very clear that even if they are relatives, they are very, very, very distant, probably dozens of generations away, so it doesn't really matter:
  21. Honestly I always thought Limestone Pie was just an early rendering of Maud Pie (from The Cutie Mark Chronicles) and figured they just tweaked her appearance for Season 4. Now it turns out they're separate characters. But doesn't this mean that Maud Pie was effectively an asspull for Season 4?
  22. -Rainbow Factory -Smile HD -Cheerilee's Garden -Fallout Equestria (the original one)
  23. Scare Master is a later episode that was leaked and still has the same intro. They probably just reused the intro animation to save on production costs.
  24. Well they didn't get them. If it happens this season it'll probably be near the end, possibly in the finale. They did reform Diamond Tiara though, so at least the writers are probably willing to change the status quo.
  25. It's defamatory, but since Celestia still allows it, it either isn't too bad, or she still doesn't care about Luna's feelings and public image. Actually the later is a rather dark possibility...
