  1. Considering we had such a huge fight between Tirek and Twilight, I'd be surprised if the movie doesn't have a lot of action in it. They've put intense scenes in the show already. If anything, the movie should include some action in it. There will likely be young kids with Parents who will be bored out of their minds if there isn't any action. Hasbro obviously has been trying to make Pony enjoy for an older audience as well, so a few action packed scenes won't harm the fans or the franchise. If we can handle the Season 4 finale, we can handle another fight in the series.
  2. Whether we like it or not, we can't deny that this is a huge step forward for Hasbro and Pony. This might result in much higher quality toys and merchandise. In the next couple of years, I wouldn't be surprised to find a pony shirt in the boy's section of clothing stores.
  3. I've noticed this as well. My school even offers a digital art class now. I guess this is all because of convenience. Creating something on a computer is easier, and often faster than working with physical objects. I see a lot more 3D printing rather than sculpting with clay, too, so it's not just flat artwork. When someone is doing commissions, of course they're going to need to work faster to get multiple things done in a single time slot. Technology makes this possible, and we don't have to wait ages for a painting as often. But there are still traditional artists out there who prefer working with a pencil and paper. I still use my sketchbook, but I'm slowly moving to my tablet since I find that it's somewhat easier.
  4. I'm actually pretty excited to finally see this happening. I guess over the years Hasbro has slowly been opening up to the older fan base, especially with Slice of Life. But now we have Hasbro even acknowledging the older men who watch the show. Hopefully this means the toys will start becoming more show accurate, and possibly even higher quality than they were before. Heck, I'd like to see more ponies with molded manes rather than brushables, since boys aren't exactly known for brushing a doll's hair. This new toy line is a huge step forward. But does this really change EVERYTHING? Boys have already been playing with ponies regardless of who they originally were meant for. I'm looking forward to seeing what Hasbro does in the future.
  5. Like another person has already said, avoid getting her something MLP related. It's obvious and won't he as special. Sure, you could somehow incorporate her favorite pony into it, but straight up pony isn't really the way to go. Surprise her. I mean, yeah I like ponies, but when I get a gift and it's pony related, I don't think much of it because I already get so many pony gifts.
  6. Well, I had been waiting for The Good Dinosaur to come out for quite a while, and it had been delayed multiple times before it was finally released a few months ago. I think it was because Disney had decided to release some other, bigger films first. Ended up not even liking the movie in the end. :/. So I guess I know how you're feeling, waiting for something to he released only to learn it'll be even longer. But that happens. Sometimes unexpected things suddenly pop up and there's nothing we can do about it. We all get busy from time to time, especially animators and people with similar professions. Making quality stuff can be a challenge, and sometimes they get obstacles.
  7. Being a person who spends a lot of their time on the internet, I found out about Bronies soon after the term was created. At first, I was slightly annoyed when I began seeing ponies all over the internet, but now the fandom has calmed down some and now I love the show.
  8. The other day I was looking for The Art of Equestria at Barnes and Noble, and after being unable to find it, I had to ask an employee for help. She searched it in to the computer, and asked, "Is it My Little Pony?" She looked somewhat concerned that I was looking for this book, but led me over to it, anyway.
  9. Well, I'm not exactly going to become a vegetarian just because of a cartoon. I have been eating more apples and muffins, though.
  10. I never cared for his videos a whole lot, but seeing them go is still pretty depressing. He put so much work into them only to have them taken down. They were legendary in the fandom and now they're gone. Although finding them will still be pretty easy.
  11. Nope, nobody seems to have a problem with me watching the show... it's probably because I'm a girl, but still. But I do have some advice: Ignore the haters and the internet trolls. They thrive off of knowing you care about their opinions, and ignoring them diminishes their power. So just be yourself and you'll be happy. Also, don't act like watching Pony is a big deal. It isn't. Trying to tell someone you watch it is easy if you're straightforward and get right to the point. That way, they won't see it as something major. So good luck to any bronies/pegasisters/fans who are having troubles with this.
  12. I don't have a special someone to celebrate it with, but the love from my friends and my family (kind of) are enough to get me through.
  13. Something like Scootaloo's. Short and choppy, yet still looks good. Except I'd rather have it as a more natural hair color rather than pink.
  14. Trying to force someone to like something usually only makes them hate it more. It might seem fun to see their reaction to it, but it doesn't exactly make things better. They might seem annoyed by it rather than become more interested. I have a friend who is fully aware of how much I love the show, and she's totally cool with it. I've shown her a single clip of the show and she thought it was pretty funny. And that's it. I never make her watch anything with me, I never talk about it constantly, and I typically avoid talking about it around people who don't already like the show. That's the way every Brony should be. Heck, the show is about love and toleration. We should be able to tolerate people who don't like us by now.
  15. My first ever digital drawing... what do you guys think? She's into nd of rushed since I was working on this in between classes, then I was experiencing sever back pain and I wanted to get it over with. If it wasn't for that, this drawing would've ended up a lot neater.
  16. London. Definitely London. I grew up watching a lot of British children's shows and movies, and nearly everything I love is British. The culture fascinates me more than anything. I even plan on living there with my best friend and sister after we're out of school for several years.
  17. I understand why Hasbro's actions might upset people. But we have to realize WHY they do what they do. Hasbro owns anything relating to My Little Pony. Therefore, they own the right to take down any fan-made works. If they don't like someone drawing something they own without permission, of course they're going to request that it's taken down. Copyright works like that. That reminds me, my seventh grade art teacher told us something about copyright. Even if the creator never pays a fee to have '©' placed on the product, it's still copyrighted. Pretty much anything can be copyrighted by the original creator. Pony is one of those things that is copyrighted. As a result, people need permission to create works of art using those characters. But Hasbro doesn't take everything down. In fact, I seldom see things getting taken down in the first place. The only stuff I recall being taken down is full episodes on YouTube and DailyMotion. Hasbro even lets BronyCon continue. So yeah. While Hasbro does take stuff down, they've still been pretty generous when it comes to fan created work and allow it to stay up.
  18. I've only had contact with a few bronies in my area. Two being people I already see everyday, and one being a random guy in a children's museum who liked seeing Twilight Sparkle on my shirt. Other than that, I don't know of any bronies who live around here. Surprisingly enough, the city I live in is quite large and has many tourist attractions.
  19. They most likely had more important things to do with their lives and became distracted from the fandom. It can happen to anyone. Or maybe they did leave the fandom, and just didn't give anyone a notice or anything. I've left websites without any warnings myself, so it's a possibility. But we'll probably never know, since it doesn't seem like any of those people will be returning soon.
  20. Hopefully the curve in my spine doesn't hurt me any more today... it probably will though

  21. I can see Hasbro trying to duplicate G4 in the future. Maybe they could bring back some of the characters into the new show? That's worked with past generations, at least. But having the same animation style wouldn't make it a whole new generation. G3 got those chili ponies, but it was still G3. We'd need a whole new look for the ponies to call it seems new generation. I can easily see the voice actors sticking around, though. Rarity's voice actress has been in previous generations from what I know, so why can't the rest do the same when FiM ends? To be honest, when the current show ends, I don't see Hasbro making a whole new generation. We'll most likely see some sort of spin-off series, or at least some shorts, and maybe a direct to DVD movie or two like G3. The current generation is too successful for them to just end like that, and they'd definitely try to keep it going in new ways rather than cut it off and start over.
  22. My ideal pizza is topped with bacon and black olives.
  23. Well, I have a pony profile picture on Facebook if that counts. My Tumblr is pony-themed, so of course the avatar there is a pony.
  24. My school has tons of clubs, and my mom is begging me to join one, by I honestly don't want to. At the beginning of the year, there was a Quidditch club that I had joined, but then the school board took everything down because they saw it as more of a sport than a club.
  25. Parakeet loves coming up with flying routines and performing them with tropical birds if that counts.
