  1. My friends and I loved these videos when we were in high school. I've hardly thought about them since. I'm kind of afraid of revisiting this stuff now. Homestar Runner just feels like such an artifact from Web 1.0. Sometimes you should let the past be just that.
  2. What's the deal with being an overrated, out of touch old comedian?? (But say it in a Jerry Seinfeld voice)
  3. Very fun episode. Packed a lot in there without feeling overstuffed.
  4. Well my time in this city will be winding down since I'm moving in August or September. I guess I'll try to get all nostalgic and take long walks and such. I can't be spending too much money because there's always surprise costs involved with moving. Man, three years in this city really flew by. Like, aggressively fast.
  5. T shirts, hoodies, jeans, sneakers or boots... my style hasn't changed much at all pretty much my whole life. I'm finally starting to think that's a bad thing. But I'm also having trouble convincing myself to go out and buy more 'adult' clothes. meh
  6. WWE in my early teens, I was like, obsessed. I can't even possibly understand the appeal now. I may start getting that way with comic book movies. I didn't love Guardians of the Galaxy or the Winter Soldier, really. Age of Ultron was utterly forgettable. I don't wanna lose that childlike sense of wonder... I don't usually grow to hate things that I once loved, once they are out of sight they are out of mind. So that's all I can think of.
  7. Something that would give me horrendous diarrhea in my dying moments. If the state wants to execute me, I'd better make cleanup unbearable for them.
  8. America - I guess the thing that bothers me most is that its perfectly acceptable, nay encouraged to be selfish in America. America is an individualistic culture and I certainly don't see that changing soon. The problem is more that there is more of an us vs. them mentality about it. Communities have a very difficult time banding together to accomplish anything. The fact that large tax breaks are given for giving to charities really drives this point home. People would give nothing to their fellow man who was born with such greater roadblocks on the path to success if there was no incentive to do so. What really got me thinking about this lately was this article I read recently. The St. Louis Gateway Arch is in bad need of repairs, cleaning, and maintenance that is going to cost taxpayers a bit of money. There is a small, but vocal outcry to just tear the thing down. Someday, we may have nothing to be proud of if this line of thinking continues. What are they going to put in the Gateway Arch's place if it gets torn down? A strip mall with a McDonald's restaurant? A little kid seeing the Gateway Arch could look at it and feel inspired, planting the seeds for his/her future career. Old people can call kids stupid for looking at screens all day. But the issue is more that we never built/maintained anything worth looking at. This country has no soul.
  9. Iron & Wine - Jezebel <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/990kOZxIOKw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. I don't believe in it. I also am not a huge fan of when the financial aspects of it come into play. Even though this person did some absolutely horrendous things to get to death row you shouldn't weigh human life against tax dollars.
  11. I'm not a huge fan of the DLC model. I see the appeal, getting more content to something you loved and all. I just have a deeply ingrained mistrust of things that try to nickel and dime consumers.
  12. Some of them make me feel somewhere between wistful and sad.
  13. I really need to start keeping track... but way more than the rest of you lol. I need to start being smarter with my money.
  14. I lived out of my car for a few months back in 2012. It wasn't too bad, really. I had enough money for an apartment but I was trying to make it in a new city without a job so I wasn't 100% sure I was going to stay. I mostly spent my days walking around and filling out job applications until my hand was ready to fall off. I would hang out at coffee shops, I got a gym membership just so I had a place to shower. After I got a part-time job I still was living out of my car since the hours were sporadic. I finally broke down and asked my parents for a little getting started money and moved into a big old house with 4 other guys. I wrote my parents 20 checks for 50 dollars each to be cashed a week apart lol. I eventually got more hours and am still living in the same city now. And I'm thinking of moving again... the responsible way this time, I swear.
  15. Hey so is anyone looking for new friends to play with? I only have the 3ds version for now, will have the Wii U version soon. I'm not very good really, but it can be fun to practice with someone. Message me for my friend code.
  16. I think they do a lot with the limited resource they have. Ponyville is just so warm to me. The colors are so vibrant and inviting, the rolling hills outside of town... They really gave it such a sense of serenity, you just wanna sit underneath an apple tree with a good book until sunset.
  17. I think the fact that it went on so long is what made it so memorable. You got the jist the of the joke in the first few seconds of him singing, but to have his humiliation just keep going, and going...

<3 Tina so much. "Here's a collection of numbers, they may see random but they're a phone number. My phone number."
  19. I have left my Refractive Amblyopia untreated throughout life to the point where my left eye is borderline useless.
  20. I guess I always thought it just represented having that vague sort of leadership and charisma needed to lead ponies. Not that they are good leaders, they are just good at getting ponies to buy what they are selling. Whether it be ideas or whatever they will do when they grow up.
  21. This was a really great and enjoyable episode with a great message. I loved how Fluttershy still needed baby steps to get over her phobia in the end. Things like that is what make this show so great, life is a constant process of growth and change. A lifelong phobia doesn't evaporate even if your close friends coax you to a place of reason. I think if the Pony-Tones(Spelling?) Had more than one song this would have been absolutely perfect.
  22. Now that the episode has had some time to digest, I've softened on it. I think watching my favorite pony make such a fool of herself was a bit much for me at times. I generally consider Tabitha St. Germain to be the show's most reliable VA, but I really think she missed on this one. That fake southern drawl was too much. As for positives, Spikey-Wikey being so resigned to the friendzone is kind of heartbreaking. He is always there to help his friends when they need it and he never gets any praise for all he does. You gotta respect the little guy. The lesson is a very good one. As the epsisode unfolded I was afraid we were going to be getting love-triangle dreck, but no, Trenderhoof is just a completely clueless hipster. Rarity may have not been at her best here, but even at her worst she's worth 1000 of that stallion. All in all about a 6/10
  23. This is a really good question and one I probably don't ask myself enough. It is kind of disturbing how I open up my laptop when I get home from doing whatever it is I was doing, like muscle memory. I don't even stop and think what else I could be doing. I suppose I am an addict, has anyone had any luck logging their internet usage daily or weekly so they can potentially cut back? As per the OP question, right now its 3:00 am so hopefully sleeping. Maybe I will ask myself again tomorrow at a normal hour.
  24. Apple Scruffs - George Harrison Fifteen Feet of Pure White Snow - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds Vamos - The Pixies Girl - The Beatles Yellow Raspberry - Xiu Xiu :/
  25. 1. Tough call, but if I had to pick one I guess I'd go with Green Isn't Your Color 2. I haven't watched an episode since Season 3 ended. I'm taking a bit of a break from the show until season 4 gets closer. I am going on about a year and a half as a fan so I don't want to burn out. Will probably rewatch the whole thing before season 4 airs when the lack of pony becomes too disturbing. 3. Usually not fewer than two in a row. I think I did 8 in one night once. That's probably my max. 4. 1>2>3 though it's very close
