  1. Ah, yes, I've completed the pokedex for Red twice. The first time I used Missingno to glitch in infinite Rare Candies to evolve pokemon I didn't feel like training. I felt bad about that, so the second time I didn't use Missingno. The only glitch I intentionally used was the one that allows you to find a wild mew (I also used it to obtain omanyte and pinsir because I had no other way of obtaining them...). I had also made the (ridiculously stupid) decision that all of my pokemon would be within 5 levels of each other, whether I was using them in battle or not (did you know that Red stops clocking your hours played at exactly 255 hours?). The only pokemon I failed with there was ditto, which I had every intention of training until I accidentally set off a glitch that replaces the move Transform with an unnamed move of the COOLTRAINER type, has a max PP of 13 (but will always be set to 0 unless you use an Ether), and destroys the universe (freezes the game) if you use it... It was kind of untrainable after that point...
  2. Tough vote, but I went for Call of the Cutie. It serves as a good origin story for the Mane 6 (and Spike) and has an adorable ending as well. I really enjoyed Green Isn't Your Color too, but... I don't know. This vote was tough.
  3. We're sorry. If I may speak for all/many of the newbies, we don't mean to be annoying. I think that perhaps we are trying too hard to be liked by all of the veterans, which could easily come off as annoying. All we wish to do is to contribute to the awesome, but in doing so we kind of take it away... Please forgive us. We don't mean to push away our elders, in fact, it's like you in which many of us aspire to become. We don't want you to leave, however if that is what you believe you must do, obviously, we can't stop you.
  4. While I still love the Crystal Empire, I feel it was missing some important scenes, like some sort of backstory on Cadence's relation to the Empire, who exactly the Crystal Princess is supposed to be, and something where Cadence actually convinces Shining Armor that throwing her off of a balcony is, in fact, the best option. I did not notice Bridle Gossip having these problems, so it took my vote. Also, Flutterguy's "I don't want to talk about it" line is one of my favorite lines in the entire series.
  5. I saw someone on my college campus with a Derpy shirt. However, we were going in opposite directions and I didn't want to bother him...
  6. I actually had to look both of those names up to remember which episodes they were... I ended up voting for Bird in the Hoof probably because the first and only time that I watched Look Before You Sleep was early in my days as a potential brony, and the whole slumber party thing didn't really sit well with me (it sounded way too close to a tea party in my mind...). I'd probably think of it differently if I watched it again, but as of right now, Bird in the Hoof is my pick.
  7. Couple of questions: 1. Without giving anything away, how many characters are you looking to have beyond the Mane 6 or is this still up in the air? 2. Will there be tripping?
  8. It looks fun. I've always liked the SSB series (and am quite disappointed there wasn't one for the Wii U...). I'm very interested to see where this goes, and will keep an eye on it.
  9. Achievement Unlocked: Become a parasprite. I had a dream of this moment. It wasn't a very interesting dream, but it was a dream nonetheless.

  10. Wait... will Spike ever age into a fully grown dragon? If 'Secret of my Excess' is to be believed, can a dragon only become full grown by increasing the size of their hoard? Even in 'Dragon Quest', none of the dragons were Spike's age, which seems weird, is that because they're all jerks? Is a dragon's maturity based entirely on how much of a jerk they are? If that's the case, we can only hope that Spike will be a baby dragon forever...
  11. Eh, this one's kind of tough. Neither were my favorite episodes, but it's not like I didn't like either of them. I guess my vote goes to Friendship is Magic, since it started this whole thing. Sure, it's not the most riveting story out there, but it has to get some credit for being the conclusion to the first story arc.
  12. Gah! On one hand, I love Spitfire's design, on the other hand, it's one of the mane 6. Rarity can be annoying at times, but then there's also times like Suited for Success and A Dog and Pony Show. Then again, Spitfire looks awesome in the drill sergeant uniform... However, as awesome-looking as Spitfire is, she can't compete with one of the most well-developed characters in the series. My vote goes to Rarity.
  13. My reaction. My reaction. Seriously, it was only today that I finally decided to donate. I don't know why I waited so long, but I did... Then I was extremely disappointed that the deadline was four days ago, until I read that the deadline was extended to today. It must have been fate. Sadly, I didn't donate as much as I had hoped to. My college payments for next semester haven't gone through yet, so I couldn't really tell how much I could logically donate without shooting myself in the foot... Perhaps next year though.
  14. I didn't and don't find Derpy offensive. However, I can say that when I heard the original voice in The Last Roundup, I was very surprised that they let it through. To me, it did sound rather stereotypical and I'm not exceptionally surprised that people blew up about it. Do I think it was right for them to make such a big deal about it? No, but that doesn't mean that it didn't surprise me when they did.
  15. Really? I feel like Hasbro would not back this at all (with the possible drug reference and all). Do you have any sort of proof of this? I had heard that his canon name was Snowflake, but that was from a Youtube video and probably isn't a reliable source. Anyways, I call him Snowflake.
  16. Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I found the mailbox scene (at least the first one) to be a really big characterization moment for Pinkie. I saw it as Pinkie expressing how much she wants to make her friends happy and help them fulfill their dreams, and if they aren't happy/don't fulfill their dreams she takes it personally as though it is her fault. She knew how important this was for RD, so she obsessed over it a little in order to make everything absolutely perfect. In other words, I thought that the first scene was perfectly in character for her. The second mailbox scene was perhaps not so much. It was more of a selfish 'What if RD forgot about us and is fulfilling her dreams without us there?' The care package thing was cute though.
  17. I've heard rumors that his name is Snowflake... I actually thought that this was a really excellent episode (wow, is that two episodes in a row where Dash doesn't look like a jerk?). The story was good and the characters were great. Oddly though, I feel like one of the main reasons I liked this was because we saw a side of Pinkie that we often don't get to see (or at least I haven't noticed); how she absolutely needs her friends to be happy, and if they aren't she takes it personally, as though it is entirely her fault. It's a really cute character flaw (is it a flaw? I don't know...) and I sort of wish we saw more of it.
  18. Going with The Last Roundup because I actually thought that that had a really good story behind it. I'd actually say that having Derpy in it goes against it, since it caused (and is still causing) such a big fuss.
  19. If he doesn't want to like MLP there is very little chance that he will like it, even if you were to show him the greatest episode in all of existence. If you really want my recommendation though, I have a potential tactic. I believe that a person will be more open to the idea of ponies if they choose by themselves to watch the show on their own. However, there may be a way to 'prod' them into such a situation. Show them part 1 of any of the 2-part specials (preferably either s1 or s2 intro episodes (s1 for characterization and story purposes and s2 for sheer awesomeness)) and only part 1. Then just leave. If he wants to finish the story arc, he has to do so on his own. I know that it's sort of a dirty trick, and I've never tested it on anyone nor heard of anyone doing this so there's no evidence of its success rate. I'm only basing this on my own experience with the show (when I first decided to watch MLP, I was set on only seeing the first episode. Then I had to see the second episode to see how the story arc ends).
  20. When I took the test it said that I was pretty much equal parts Twilight and Fluttershy with a decent chunk of Applejack as well. I can most definitely see this. I'm like Twilight in that I need plans for everything and if that plan goes wrong/I forgot to take into account a very important detail, I become extremely neurotic. I basically enter Lesson Zero mode. I'm also like Fluttershy in that in I'm extremely asocial when not around friends or without the curtain of the internet. The Applejack likely comes from me being a decently hard worker, and I much prefer to do things alone (I live by the philosophy that a machine with less parts is less likely to break).
  21. Very easy decision here. The Great Lord and Master Discord is superior to Owli... um... Owlisc... hm... screw it, the Owl dude. Owls was also one of the episodes where I found Spike's character to be really irritating for some reason, which seriously hurts the episode as a whole since he was the focus.
  22. That seems like something that could happen... or... or... OR... They could go the route of G2 (or G3, I can't remember) episode 1 (I know this only because I watched Ballad of the Brony) and instead, Twilight demands that ALL OF THE MANE 6 become alicorn princesses! .... .......... ......................OH DEAR GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE?! In all seriousness, I think that it has the potential to work (just Twilight as an alicorn, not everyone else). It would have to be handled extremely carefully, but it might be able to work. If our worst fears become true, I'll stick around to see what spawns from it.
  23. EQD: "Bronies, mobilize! A challenger approaches! Reveal to these peons the Magic of Friendship." Bronies: "WE SHALL SMITE THEIR RUIN UPON THE MOUNTAINTOP!" I find it absolutely hilarious how we swarm every single notable poll that has MLP in it (or at least the ones put on EQD). I guess I fall under the category of mindless brony slave of EQD, because I admit that I didn't even realize that this poll was for the best fans until several days later... I just voted for what I liked.
  24. Both of these were good episodes, not really my favorite, but good. I'm going with A Friend in Deed because I feel like it had the better storyline, even if it was extremely predictable.
  25. This or Yellow Submarine. Alright, I'll take a crack at this. Two Steps from Hell edition! Rainbow Dash - Fluttershy - Twilight - Applejack - (basically for determination against impossible odds)Pinkie Pie - Professor Pumplestickle (I really had to stretch for this one) (Pinkamena - )Rarity - Spike - Friendship to Last Princess Celestia - Nightmare Moon - Discord - actually, I'd have to go with Professor Pumplestickle again. It fits much better for Discord. King Sombra -
