Season 5 Predictions/Hopes

Here are my predictions for season 5:

I'll be holding my fingers crossed for a number of things:

 

o   CMC getting their cutie marks. I'm not sure if the writers have anymore crazy scenarios up their sleeves to put the CMC in, but S4 kind of set a good stage for them, with them learning all sorts of skills and virtues.

 

o   Revisiting old villains. With discord finally wiping the slate clean, and Nightmare moon's backstory expanded during S4 premiere, i'd like to know what happened to Chrysallis and the changelings, and possibly Sombra. The latter was really underdeveloped as a character as many before me have complained, so it could be nice to expand on his character as a villain.

 

o   Seeing more Griffons, Minotaurs, Zebras and D-Dogs etc. The show has a comically diverse array of non-pony creatures, but each of these catagories have shown us very few specimen.

I like the idea of the CMC getting their cutie marks in Season 5.

Or even more interesting...only one gets a cutie mark and their friendship is tested.

They should all get their cutie marks by the end of the season though.

 

I want to see more of Lyra and Bon-Bon together.

 

More on Discord's backstory and maybe a true Fluttercord episode.

 

The return of Cheese Sandwich.

 

Big Mac getting more speaking lines.

 

Visiting other lands such as Saddle Arabia or wherever griffons come from.

 

The return/revenge of Gilda

 

An episode entirely focused on the Flim Flam brothers (no Mane Six).

 

The return of Coco Pommel

 

The return of Maud Pie

 

The return of Lightning Dust

 

The return of Iron Will

 

The return of Cranky Doodle Donkey

I wonder if there is going to be an episode or two-part episode on the History of Equestria/Ponyville and how the Elements of harmony was formed and who were the very first ponies to use.

 

I wonder if the Elements of harmony can be passed down to the next generation like to Apple Bloom...

 

I wonder what would happen if say an evil witch or dragon got hold of them & attempt to use them?

 

I wonder what would happen if the Elements of Harmony were to be destroyed and can they be destroyed?

 

I wonder how the magic mirror portal was first created - where Twilight Sparkle went through and ended up as an Equestria Girl and was able to return... I wonder if there any previous versions of it and what happened to them and can it be roughly be re-created? I wonder who or what else came through Ponyville and were they returned... like a human girl from original My Little Pony...what other dimension(s) can the pony go to and return...what would happen say a human boy enters the portal (from the base of the statue) and someone destroys it from that end- will the boy end up in the VOID when enters from Ponyville (magic mirror)?

 

Did anyone saw an episode from WordGirl where TJ loves watching Pretty Princess and Magic Pony show alone and then later TJ was happy to retrieve his cute Word Girl school backpack from Word Girl? (short clip)

 

I wonder what would happen if a human boy (between ages of 8 through 11) who loves watching MLPFiM tv shows and owns a girl pony doll/ carries around a cute MLPFiM school backpack somehow accidentally, magically drops in Ponyville and stays for say one full moon cycle because the magic portal where he came from was destroyed/closed permanently...

 

speaking of genderbent...

 

I wonder what would happen of the MLPFiM gang became boys, what would their boys name be and what boys characteristics be... Applejack and Rainbow Dash would be more of a girl characteristics and the remainder including Princesses be boys

 

Also the boy ponies like Big Macintosh be genderbent as a girl pony...probably a huge bad mama I think carrying a huge iron frying pan...

I wonder what would happen if MLPFiM crossover say to the Twilight Zone or the Simpsons or Lego or Star wars/star trek/Dr who/ painting... and become those characters

 

what if their counterparts enters and speak in foreign languages say Japanese, Italian, german and use foreign gestures/body language/taboo...

My hopes:

The background ponies (not just the ones in Ponyville, but all of Equestria) feeling regret for all the nasty things they've done.

Equestria modernizing and using technologies that can run on things like electricity and GN-particles.

This:

Diamond Tiara is afraid the CMC will eventually take her popularity.  So she burns down Zecora's house, sneaks out the alicorn amulet from the remains and desires to commission an assassin.  But Diamond Tiara tries the amulet on out of vanity and accidentally puts it through an evil overload.  The amulet explodes, causing Diamond Tiara to fly back.  In mid-air her forehead and back bleed and the blood materializes into a horn and a pair of wings.  Now an alicorn, Diamond Tiara instead plans to use her powers to raise an army and conquer all of Equestria and increase her fame.

And for the series finale, we have Diamond Tiara arising to godhood and materializes the souls of her whole army into a 10-million light-year version of her.  And a Tengen Toppa Discord, sustained and piloted by Discord, himself, the Mane Six, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and the Princesses, comes out and destroys Diamond Tiara.

February 14th, 2015 is a Saturday indeed, they might make a Valentines Day episode.

Well, we already have Hearts and Hooves Day for a Valentine's Day episode. However, another episode on the subject wouldn't hurt.

 

Another thing I'd like to see in Season 5 is an episode on Rarity and Applejack's friendship prior to the start of the series. Season 4 had a lot of scenes in several episodes showing them to be quite *ahem* close. There could be a good reason for that, too. Out of the Mane Six, Applejack and Rarity are the only two who were born and raised in Ponyville. We had a (brief) scene showing Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy knew each other as fillies in Cloudsdale. A similar scene (or more) for Applejack and Rarity would be great!

 

Since Derpy was in season 4 I really hope and think she will be in season five and has more speaking roles. I also think all the mane six should be princesses because: 1 Twilight wouldn't be a princess without her friends, 2 Twilight will stay young and the rest of the mane six will grow old

The producers already stated that Twilight would not outlive her friends after the uproar over her becoming an alicorn. While I could see some interpreting that as meaning the rest will become princesses as well, I'm assuming that it means she'll live a normal life. There have been recent books that have suggested only Celestia and Luna have the ridiculously long lifespans.

 

I really, really hope Derpy (or Ditzy Doo. Whatever but give her a real name, please!) has a speaking part once more. She deserves a second chance.

 

Those are pretty much my expectations. But, one more, I wish Hasbro would let bronies send in pictures of themselves as mlp's and Hasbro would put the first twenty (or something) on the show as a background pony for the whole season, but one episode is fine, too.

Can but wish, but as it would be a heckuva lot of extra work on the animators, even with tools like Flash to work with, I doubt it'll happen.

Here's one that I was reminded of because of the World Cup currently going on - a reappearance of Trixie

 

I'm a pretty huge Trixie fan - not anything compared to how much I love Rarity, but I'm pretty gung-ho on Trixie nonetheless. As a matter of fact, the only two characters in the whole series that I like more than Trixie are Rarity and Applejack Seriously, that's the only two I like more.

 

She's definitely a "love her or hate her" type character, but one thing is hard to deny - whether you're hating on Trixie or fanboying over her, she's got a lot of charisma and can definitely entertain. Whether you root for her or against her, you know who she is, and that's because of the sheer amount of charisma she has.

 

I'd love to see Trixie reappear As long as they can pull it off, though. She learned a lesson in Magic Duel, so that would need to be taken into account. Other than that, I hope to god she makes another appearance One of the most complex and interesting characters in the whole show

6. More of Equestria and the pony world in general. We haven't travelled much in the show, have we? In 4 seasons we've seen Ponyville, Cloudsdale, Canterlot, The Crystal Empire, Rainbow Falls, Manehattan and the Everfree forest.

7. More Luna. I wish the Luna in the show was more like Comic Book Luna. She's awesome.

8. More side-characters/background characters. Derpy, Vinyl, Lyra, so on.

I don't know what a few of you are saying. I watched all of Season 4 in one night on Netflix. Call it not having a life. Anyway, I think that Derpy will or should come back. Since she apparently got changed from the lovable messed up eyed pegasus to the normal eyed pegasus we see every time we see the show. Seriously, when did that happen. I saw a 'Save Derpy' video on youtube and it made me sad.

Also more good Mane 6 and background character episodes and slices of life, I take mine traditional apple style. Also moar nonponies and adventures beyond Ponyville.

-That the history of Equestria will be shown (how it was established and stuff)

-I want to see Princess Luna's and Princess Celestia's parents

-Scootaloo flying (Or at least learning to fly more often)

-CMC getting their cutie marks (though I doubts about that)

-Twilight becoming a more powerful Alicorn

-Twilight actually ruling over something instead of being a random Alicorn
