Favorite Species of Pony and Why?

I would be a Unicorn, as I have a fondness for anything involving magic. I reckon if I was a pony my cutie mark would have something to do with magic. I could also give myself wings to fly anyway if I was strong enough

Pegasus pony hooves down, it's more than just flying, which is a powerful feeling, but the ability to walk and even sleep on the clouds is very cool.

This is a pretty tough decision because magic is op and rainbowdash has shown the awesomeness of wings, for those who don't know what I'm talking about its the sonic rainboom, for those who do know take a second to look back at rainbowdashes awesomeness. So I'd say wings,Pegasus ftw.

But really, I just feel like you'd have everything you need with Magic, I couldn't even list all the things you could do, but use that wonderful imagination of yours! Not to mention, since the Sonic Rainboom episode, I think a Unicorn would be able to cast the kind of magic to make him/herself a pair of wings. Of course, not permanent, but it could get you were you needed to go!

Earth pony, hands down. I am a very down to earth and nature-oriented person, after all, and I seem to have an unusually good connection to most animals. Though I'm not particularly capable physically... ah well. I've always admired the Earth ponies in the show (not to mention that AJ is my favorite), so I suppose that plays a part too, haha.

 

I have plenty of Pegasus and Unicorn characteristics, but I'd say Earth is a clear choice!

Changelings are a species that are not oftenly mentioned as a favorite type of pony, yet they have a few cool characteristics of their own:

Wings AND Horns, so they are technically alicorns
A wicked cool dark black coat
Unusual body shapes that contain holes (Stretching fans will agree how cool a hole in your skin can look)
The ability to change the way they look to impersonate someone (even thought they already look badass)
Awesome mohawks

Face it: Changelings are best ponies. Plus, others can't hate you for your Alicorn OC, because they are not considered as such.

 My choice would be the pegasus, because being a earth pony would bore me and I would prefer having wings over magic.

I was just sitting here wondering what everyone else's favorite pony was. I like earth ponies... :3 I'm not sure why I like them the best, probably because they are so normal, and they don't have any abilities.. Earth ponies are just special in there own unique way. 

 

Anyway, back to the question. What is your favorite type of pony!? Go on!! intrigue me with your answers!!

I like earth ponies, mostly because in my head they would be the bigger and stronger than pegesi or unicorns due to not having magic or wingpower to get by. They can also be given more unique inner talents to play with.

I have a massive obsession with bat ponies because of the eyes they look so cool :3 the wings and the fluff on the ears are also pretty cool and to top it all off all the bat pony art looks adorable!

Earth ponies don't rely on flight or magic in order to live, which is why they're my favourite. They can prove that they are still able to live life to the fullest despite the lack of wings or magic. They most certainly find a way.

My favorite type of ponies are Earth Ponies. I just feel like they have to work harder to get what they want, and, because of this, they tend to be more reliable. I also feel that because they don't have wings or magic at their disposal, whatever they do is more incredible.

I'm horrible about playing favorites with her. Really, though, I'm proud of it.

The truth is, I'll defend her no matter what, even when I know she's wrong. She's my favorite that much.

They have an awesome design. They are bug-like shapeshifters, that is already cool to me. Add to that their fangs, chitin bodies, horns, wings, and most importantly, their shapeshifting powers. Very cool race.
