Ever Gotten hit by a car before?

I haven't, but I've come close.  I was playing on the streets at my old apartment complex and I almost got hit by a car.  More specifically, I nearly got hit by two cars in a car chase.  The guys had their guns out, so I guess you could say I could've been shot as well.

Considering the amount of times me and my friends used to play in the streets and throw rocks and sticks at cars, I'm surprised at the amount of times we weren't hit.

I was nearly hit just half an hour ago!!! I was taking my dad to my moms work and we stopped at a stop sign and when it was our turn I started to accelerate and this guy almost T-bones me because he isn't paying attention and didn't notice the stop sign and he had to slam on his brakes!! It was nerve racking lol.

I remember that a van almost got me cuz I walked across without waiting for the school bus to leave so I could see what was coming. Thankfully I didn't get hit, and the guy was super nice about it. He just told me to be careful next time. I thought for sure he would've tore me a new one for being an idiot XD

 

But now I'm a lot more on the road. I seriously freaked out at that XD

no... but I lost track of how many times it nearly happened... I have been nearly hit while riding my bike to and from school several times... apparently drivers think its okay to make left turns when ever they feel like it especially when I'm crossing... then they honk at me like I'm doing wrong... one old dude in a sports car actually stopped and said "your gonna get hit kid" and I said "yeah with jackasses like you on the road" there are also those who stop their car on the pedestrian crosswalk and sometimes even the edge of sidewalk... people say Californians are the worst drivers in America no the Arizonians are pretty bad especially the old ones they need to make a law were elders need to retake their drivers test...

 

oh also I've been in a car accident that nearly killed my friend but that's another story...

No. But I was in a car crash once, and almost hit by a car at least twice.

 

Once was in 10th grade when I was doing something really, really fucking stupid: walking in the street. Two upperclassmen decided it'd be "funny" to race their cars in the street, and they came hurdling toward me at obscene speeds. They did not care one bit that I was in the road. I barely got out of the way in time to avoid being killed. This was like 3 years ago, I'm in college now, and it still makes me angry just thinking about it.

 

Another time was when I worked in retail. Part of my job was to spend hours in the very busy parking lot (that was also a site of dangerous shit -- I remember cops, fire department and ambulance showed up two shifts in a row once) with nothing more than a high-visibility safety vest and my situational awareness for protection. I'm really good at situational awareness, but one of the few times I messed up happened to be a time when someone was backing their car up in my direction. I came very close to being hit, but thankfully wasn't.

Full on hit? No,but as someone who often works until after sundown and has a habit of dressing dark, I have taps and close calls on a somewhat regular basis.

Not sure if this counts, but one time when I was unloading a lawnmower from a customer's truck, I felt the sideview mirror of a car brush my backside.   

The shop I worked at was on a very busy corner and cars would just fly thru the intersection.

yeah, when I was a kid, around 6-8 years old, luckily only on my knees and a shock. looked like usual, but that curve can be tricky, when i notice it, i was so shocked that i onlybacked away a little. the women stopped and brought me home(Just around a minute footwalk from home away) and explained what happened.

It almost happened to me, back when I was in Grade 7. I was walking home from school and was using a crossing, when a person suddenly zipped past, missing me by a fraction. I seriously wonder how some people get their licenses.
