No, but seriously that's a tough one. Um...I would say it's better not to worry too much about the mistakes you have made in the past. It's pointless to have regrets because unless you have a time machine, there isn't anything you can do about it except learn from it and make better choices next time.

mine is to STAY OUT OF DEBT! i watched it eat my parents alive for years and watched them stuggle with it everyday for decades before they finally got it paid off, this is even MORE true now with the new bankruptcy laws that don't let you default on student loans and stuff like that! once they have you they have you until you finally pay it off "and a mountain of interest" or until you die!

If you aren't doing better, then you aren't doing your best, and if you're not doing your best, you're just wasting everyone's time, including your own. Be grateful for criticism; it will help you learn and grow. Be wary of compliments, they teach you nothing and far too often have ulterior motives.
