Leave a hero, or stay alive?

Let's say you were at an assembly or any public event, then found out someone planned a shooting which would occur today? before you can tell anyone a shot is almost about to be fired, what would you do? would you:

 

A. sit in the crowd and pray that you will be alright,

 

B. convince someone to try to be a hero which will only end up with them getting shot,

 

C. You be the hero and take the bullet instead

 

I would choose C because I believe that there are not as many heroes today in our society. What would you decide, and answer truthfully, I'm taking a project at school which requires me to ask several ppl a question, so I figured why not ask here? Again answer truthfully. Thank thee!

My immediate instinct would be to defend their target from the bullet. And I'd probably very much regret it afterwards. A bit of young me remains when it comes to human suffering.

I'd like to believe that I would take the bullet instead of letting it hit some other person. If I can do something to prevent someone from going through pain like that then I would gladly do it, even if I'm not very fond of people. 

 

If I were to die or become incapacitated because of it then so be it. I'll live with the decision I made to protect someone.

Yet, I Choose C, Even I know that the risks i will take, taking a bullet for stranger.
We need more people that would sacrifice themselves for other people. I will do that, If you're an optimist, maybe you'll thought of, "I wonder where'd people go when they're dead."

I like to believe I'd go with C, but while I am trying to protect others, I'd still want to find a way to save everyone. Sacrificing myself would only be a last resort option if I truly believed it was the only way to go. If I could, I'd rather save every life, or at least as many lives as I possibly can. Life is a sacred thing to me. No one has the right to take the life of another, and we should all enjoy our own existence to the fullest.

I wish I could be all noble and say I'd choose C, but I really won't. I want to stay alive, no matter what. The only person I'd try to save is my girlfriend. Other than that, I consider my own life to be more valuable than that of everyone else. It may sound harsh, but it's the truth.

so i am just going to go ahead and ask, if the shooter is going to kill someone then he probably already has a target in mind so how do you be the hero and make him shoot you instead of anyone else in the crowd or the person he is out to get? and even if you get yourself killed then wouldn't it be a waste when he kills others to? 

 

my answer would be I would run for cover and try to stay out of his line of sight, really hard to spot the shooter anyway,if he lays up on a building or shoots from a window he will be hard to spot, most snipers shoot from back inside the room way back from the window to hide the muzzle flash and deaden the sound so even knowing he is about to shoot would not matter because you would also have to know where he is to make yourself a target to be a "hero" which i don't think you would be a hero because you are not really saving anyone you are just getting yourself killed first

I don't believe anyone choosing C, if that was the case, why don't give money to organisations that saves lives instead? A lot easier than sacrificing your life...

 

If it was my brother, sister, father, mother or some specific friends of mine however, I wouldn't be able to stop myself.

Despite the fact that my father, mother and older brother are "supposed" so sacrifice themselves for me, I would act selfishly. If only I could have said I'm sorry before doing it.

Take the bullet man, always take the bullet. Sometimes you just gotta do what needs to be done. Of course if it would be a kill shot, I'd hope something sick would play on like an intercom, like Ballroom Blitz by Sweet, or maybe Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. Gotta go out with some choice jams man. My memeory will then live on in the dank forums and youtube vids of forever. Alternatively I'd pack a friggin' throwing star or tomahawk with me, cuz if some crazy bastard's gonna off me, It's my duty as a decent human to off him too, so that crazy turd can't hurt no one else.

All the options sound bad. I would rather choose my own option, find someone with a gun and tell them that a shooting is about to occur or if I had a gun myself I would try to stop the shooter.
