Man i spend a whole summer playing this game!

I loved this game to bits! Definitely this has made it to my top 5!

I loved 99th Street... Oh.. The memories!.

99th Street was dark but VERY interesting! The CTF trick though is friggin' hilarious though - wish the place didn't have slowdown when played on the 360...

For me, it was Shibuya Terminal - even if it did have a tedious as hell final challenge (the 13 platforms).

My God, I haven't played Half Life 2 in ages. I still love the soundtrack though, it never gets old by the sounds of things. I'm loving CP Violation.

It is always difficult for me to find the best soundtrack from all those games. As you can see on my profile, I like music from games a lot ( Spyro, gex, suikoden, TLOS, 4x4, heroes IV... ). If I had to pick up only one, it would be propably this one:

Oh boy, some of you guys that have seen my other posts will probably already know what I'm going to post but I don't care.

Here is probably my favorite boss theme ever from my favorite game ever.

And another great boss theme.

All the soundtracks from the game Killing Floor, but mainly this one:

Such a badass tune, love listening to this while chopping up some undead freaks with a katana.

It's no doubt that the likes of Skyrim and *insert every single Legend of Zelda game here* have one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.

But for videogame themesongs, (not soundtracks, main theme music). The winner would be Battlefield hands down. All versions of it's theme music are awesome. Even the auto-tuned farts from Battlefield 3.

On the subject of Kingdom Hearts, to celebrate my favorite, most under-appreciated game in the series... Each game has its instrument. For Birth By Sleep, it was the violin. For Chain Of Memories, it was the organ.

Here's my favourite. For those who haven't heard already, Devil May Cry 3 is one of the hardest games ever released, and has been universally acknowledged as such. What makes this theme so amazing is how it represents the trials of incredible difficulty you've beaten to reach this one battle. It's overflowing with pure, solid badass.

My other favourite is this, from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I haven't even played that game, but I recognise a piece of chillingly epic music when I hear one. Hearing this makes anything seem epic, even playing with a clockwork penguin on my desk.

Other themes that I love include:

- Cornered Theme from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

- Hidden Land from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2
- FEMA Stress from Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- Shadow Queen Part 2 from Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
- Back Hall from Amnesia: The Dark Descent

I prefer Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2. The Temporal Tower music complements the tone of the story well. So does Primal Dialga's battle, and the Song I Don't want to say goodbye (English Translation.) when your player character disappears.

I love that theme too. It just fills you with that feeling of "This is it". I really like how PMD 2 creates themes that suit the environment of the dungeon, but also the progress you've made through the story line. That's particularly genius.

I'll just leave this here.

I love pretty much everything with Nobuo Uematsu's name on it. There are lots of great covers, too -- check out OneUp Studios. Here they funk it up a bit

Oh yeah and FFIII/6 and 7 stuff, too.

This is a VERY hard question as there are so many great soundtracks to great games. Hell even crappy games can have good sound tracks. I may hate Sonic 06 because It's a awful, unfinished, mess of a game but damn if the music isn't great. Then there is Pokemon Black and White 2. Not only does it have all the great themes from the first Black and White, some of which are remixed, but it has remixes of every gym leader and champion theme. It's pretty safe to say I nerdgasmed when I heard the Johto champion remix. But out of all the great sound tracks one of, if not my favorite, video game sound track comes from one of my favorite games Donkey Kong Country 2. Now the game is fun on it's own, It had a really cool pirate theme, both characters were light, Dixie had a cool glide move that could really make some of the harder levels a breeze, and the music...Oh god the music?

I mean listen to dome of this stuff, the game can make the hardest levels soothing and beautiful and hit you with dramatic music that adds to the tension when you have about one or two lives left. My favorites are as follows.

Stickerbush Symphony

Flight Of The Zinger

Toxic Tower

I'm about to cheat and put the Gamboy version the next song. It's a lot more upbeat and happy than the origanl. I swear theres a 16-bit version of it somewhere, possibly in the GBA version but I can't find it for the life of me.

It's difficult to choose favorites.

Legend of Zelda songs and Ace Attorney songs are some of them,

but there's one song that holds a special place in my heart.

Pokemon Red Opening Theme.

This is the song that pretty much started my childhood.

This is my bloody childhood right here' Serious sam was one of the first video games I ever played; I'll never get enough of those classic first person shooters.

Unfortunately I could only find the ost's for the most recent one. ;_;

Also another ost to the most recent Serious sam game.(which I can't stop listening to)

Basically anything from the Spyro series.

I could name so many individual ones, but I'll only show this one.

Another great soundtrack would be the Halo soundtrack.

For me it'd have to be Silent HIll 2. The songs give me emotions that I don't think other video game music can give me. So many feels can be experienced from the music. It's also not the music I'd expect for a horror game like silent hill. Rather than spooky, and scary it's kind of sad. Melancholic, I guess.

I'll say my top 8 in the order I find them:

Nimbassa City, Pokemon Black/White

Final Fatasy VI (III) Soundtrack (pretty much the entire thing)

here is the ending theme (a medley of a lot of themes)

The place I'll return to someday, Final Fantasy IX

Sandy Badlands, Final fantasy VII (this is an acquired taste^^)

Main Theme, The Windwaker (this is one of my absolute favorites to play on the tin whistle)

Cherry Blossom Storm, Okami

Route 110, Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire

Gusty Garden Galaxy, Mario Galaxy

Hope some people (re)discover and enjoy some of this :)

S4 League has an AMAZING original soundtrack; it's one of the few things that game still has going for it. Well... "Original" as in "The soundtrack was made by the game's developers, but a lot of it for other games." This specific piece was the other way around though (obviously).

Other than that, The World Ends With You had pretty unique music. Most of the time I don't pay a ton of attention to the music. The best OST wouldn't even be noticed unless it's either heard seperately from the game, or the game's played without its music.

(Pay attention to the lyrics on this one... I didn't notice on account of playing an amazing game the first time I heard it, but they're... interesting.)
