Pulp Fiction. Many of my coworkers love it, but it's so stupid and overrated to me. The most popular quotes from that movie mirror the randomness of its success, at least from my perspective.

- Die Hard: It was okay, to be honest. I’m not sure what all the hype was about, mostly because the movie is incredibly long. Also, I was told there would be slapstick but I don’t think actual shooting and blood counts.

- Trolls: I actually haven’t watched this, but for some odd reason I’m terrified of those little troll things. They just unsettle me even though most other people think they’re cute.

- Back to the Future (all parts): I found the time travel thing uninteresting since, rather than focus on exploration or fixing a huge world problem, the characters only focused on bettering their own lives despite that being sort of against the time traveling rules in this universe. I also thought that the running gags in all the movies were kinda lame since the other two movies used previous jokes as their own to try to be funny instead of being original.

Why do people hate Frozen? It's not my favourite Disney film but I thought it was pretty good. I can't see anything really bad about it. The only real problem I had with it is the soundtrack (except for Let it Go and the snowman one) was pretty bland.

Yeah, I think Frozen was inoffensive. I think Wall-E was worse

Honestly I don't really HATE any movies that everyone else loves... the only movie I can think of that everyone likes but I don't is Citizen Kane. I don't think it's bad, just... VERY overrated.

Lastly, the one I get a lot of shit for...."The Godfather" it was boring and long.Like peter griffin said "didn't like it" "couldn't get into it."

This skit is soo fucking relatable when it comes to trying to have an unpopular opinion about this movie:

I've never seen it and all I really know is it's some mafia thing.

  • Frozen. Predictable beyond all belief. Seriously, I knew who the twist villain would be 5 minutes in... Not to mention I found Olaf more annoying than cute. His voice was so aggrivating... :unamused:
  • The Avengers movies. Scratch that. 90+% of the MCU films. They're all the same to me. Only exceptions here are Iron Man and Deadpool. That's literally it. Everything else is mediocre.
  • My partner absolutely loves Tarantino films, but I had a hard time with Pulp Fiction. The story was a bit too hard to follow... Though I think I may enjoy it if I got to rewatch it.

The 2014 Godzilla film. What a dumpster fire. I wanted to see a modern re imagining of the 1954 epic, not a spinoff to Army Wives.

I mean, what kind of monster movie cuts away from the giant monster fight? Doesn't help that the main character was so bland and the only good character was killed 20 minutes in.

Been a while since I posted in this thread but I have another one to mention:

Forrest Gump. Friggin. Forrest. Gump. This movie is loved by almost everyone it seems, but I personally hate the film. I hate the characters (especially Gump himself), I hate his stories like him running for no reason and everyone losing their minds over it, I hate the overused trope of "Person with mental disability or deficiencies has a bunch of bad stuff happen around them but they always pull through.", I have simply never understood the resounding praise this film has.

Honestly, now that I think about it, I agree on this. I think this also applies to Rain Man too. :unamused:

Star Wars. It’s not that I hate those movies but I just never got interested in them...

Also, superhero movies. I don’t see what’s so great about fights and car chases honestly.

I prefer more realistic movies I suppose? Like “based on a true story” kinds of movies. Or just more light-hearted ones.

Oh, and also most Pixar movies, CGI animation creeps me the frick out :wau:. I wanna go back to hand-drawn... :c

Absolutely ANY movie about the end of the world where the protagonists live (I'm looking at you, 2012!)! They're always overhyped even though you KNOW what's going to happen at the end!:glimmer:

Moulin Rouge!- This film comes across as a live action cartoon and style over substance to me. I see what director Baz Luhrmann was going for, but for me what was supposed to be enduring and funny came across as annoying.

Halloween- I'm a fan of John Carpenter (The Thing, Escape From New York) and I know that there would be no Freddy or Jason without Michael, but while this film does have some really strong aspects like the iconic score composed by Carpenter and Donald  Pleasence as Dr Loomis, it's very boring, not scary, and pretty poorly acted by most of the other cast members.

Spider-Man Homecoming- You can probably tell from my username that I'm a Spider-Man fan. He's been my hero since I was a toddler and I grew up loving the Sam Raimi Trilogy (Even the third film) and the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. And I'll admit that I was originally excited about the Sony/Marvel deal back when I was an MCU fan, but my concerns about the film unfortunately ended up becoming true and it turned into another overrated disappointment in Phase 3 IMO. Tom Holland is a talented actor, but I really dislike his take on Spidey. They turned him into this annoying character who is to dependent on Iron Man and the rest of the MCU. Combine that with pretty bad comedy, weak CGI, forgettable action scenes and score, bland cinematography and color grading, etc and you get Homecoming.

Thor Ragnarok- Taika Waititi is a talented and funny guy,but was the wrong choice for Thor IMO. He and Marvel Studios decided to turn the Thor franchise into a straight up comedy. They turned the potentially grand and epic story of Ragnarok into a jokefest with more poor color grading and CGI. And they weakened The Hulk.

Avenger: Endgame.

What a big waste of times for everyone. 5 years since the world get Thanosed you would think they'd move on. Lots of selfishness choices coming from these characters. Especially when Steve forced Tony to join and help when Tony has obviously moved on and happy with his family. And now he die. Another when Rocket Raccoon told Thor that he can't save his mother but yet their mission is bringing back those who are lost and that's okay? Hypocrite!

I hate the part everyone treated Thor as a joke, He just lost his home and at top of that, half of his people, friends, and his bother was brutally murdered by Thanos. Show some compassion here!  Hawkeye...going killing mode over his family and yet "alright" about Scarlet death when they known each other for a long time? And last, Steve leaving Bucky, his bestest  friend in the world behind! He could just take Bucky with him so, the three friends can be together again.

Yeah I think everything is a waste of time and most are in vain.

As Thanos once said, "They should've been happy with what they already have." I'm not excusing him, but he's right.

Frozen.

I wouldn't say I hate it exactly, but all the hype it got kind of made the movie seem boring to me.

I wasn't planning to see the second one, but I got dragged into it somehow..

Second one was good, but I don't really feel the need to see it again.

And Elsa herself is overhyped as well. Maybe that's why she's my least favorite Disney princess.
