She used to be bad but then I watched No Second Prances (which is my least favorite episode), after Starlight have saved Trixie (before it was too late), I began to Like Trixie now and I thinking that Trixie was the Good one now.

I wouldn't even call her bad in her first appearance, just incredibly showboaty. Which given she is an entertainer, that makes sense. The Alicorn amulet incident was a bad thing for sure though, the corruption aspect didn't help.

Nowadays though, she definitely isn't bad. Still showboaty and still sour to Twilight it seems, but she doesn't have any bad intentions I don't think. Her being friends with Starlight is really nice.

She wasn't bad or evil in her first appearance but rather boastful, wanting to prove that she was the best unicorn around, and refused to accept anyone else with such a mantle. In "Magic Duel", she was evil though as a result of wearing the alicorn amulet since it corrupted her mind in a way that not even she could control her own actions.

Since "No Second Prances", the Rainbow Dash team-up in Friends Forever #6, and the Manehatten Mysteries story arc in MLP #21 and #22, Trixie has turned over a new leaf though she does feel as though others don't necessarily believe she has changed for the better. She also still has that tendency to showboat only in response to anything Twilight says as a means of riling her up.

I wouldn't say she was ever evil but was pretty bad in the essence of friendship.

But after her second appearance it seems like she was going to turn a new leaf, which is evident through the comics.

Then the incredible "No Second Prances" came out and it made Trixie a friendly pony who cares about other ponies other than herself but is still very arrogant like Rainbow Dash in season 1.

Then the season finale came and show her that she would put her own safety in danger for the good of Equestria and even sacrifice herself for a cause she cares about, apparently, and her best friend.

I would say she is a good pony! Maybe not like in terms of the fight of good vs evil/friendship vs anti-friendship, but she does care about her friends (Starlight) and cares about the good of Equestria, and cares about changing herself for the better, which is also seen in MLP:FIM #21 and #22.

She has an inferiority complex due to diminished magic capabilities, showing as overconfidence.

Making her prone to act out of personal interst, due to her distrust and disregard for anypony else.

Perhaps feeling misunderstood, being her the one who rejects herself by adopting overblown self-images.

This allows compatibility with entertainment, by stablishing distance between other ponies and her personal insecurities.

Her trust and personal interests have been tested in No Second Prances. Trixie has left the dark side, and now walks alongside the force.

One thing I really like about Trixie is that she isn't obviously good nor obviously bad. Despite the fact that she has functioned as an antagonist before, by trying to run Twilight out of Ponyville, her character has way more complexity than villains like Tirek and Chrysalis.

Even before No Second Prances, you could argue that she wasn't really all that evil to begin with. Just a magician who got jealous, rather than some evil queen or a demonic being crawling straight out of Tartarus.

In her first episode she was more of an arrogant showoff rather than an actual villain or anything, and only became evil due to the Alicorn Amulet possessing her.

Right now I wouldn't say she is a hero, but no longer can I call her a villain or major antagonist.

Even back to S1, she wasnt even bad, the whole Ursa incident wasnt her faults, she didnt ask for this.

To be honest, in Season 1 I was annoyed by her slightly, as I've met people like her. When she took up the Alicorn Amulet, that was bad... it was begat out of a selfish need to one up someone. I didn't like that, and it did end up corrupting her.

As she returned, and slowly opened up to Starlight Glimmer, I saw a speck of likeability. Now, I'm fine with her, I just don't like her showboating, as I said. If she'd tone down yelling out, "THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!" I'd be perfectly fine with her. Once or twice an episode is fine. Go beyond that, it gets grating.

IMO in Boast Busters she wasn't bad just a blowhard. Snips & Snails (together with Pinkie, they are the village idiots) brought the Ursa Minor to town & she did her best to deal with it.  She got her wagon/home crushed, rendered destitute, & her rep ruined.  She was arguably the victim here.

In Magic Duel, she had turned bad but fans didn't blame her. (Oh really, she was on her way to choir practice & that bad old amulet just jumped out of an alley, grabbed her, & MADE her plot revenge? Yeah, right.)  Still, at the end she repented & was given another chance.

So, S6 it was sort of implied that she had mostly gotten over being jealous, but there was maybe a TEENY bit of jealousy left over. IMO, Twilight has more lingering resentments over it than Trixie does.

I don't mind her doing it once or twice an episode, just not more than that. That's my only real complaint about her now.

She is neither good or bad. She is just Trixie with all of her own faults and imperfections every other character has. I love the way her character is handled in that she is still the same arrogant, sarcastic loud mouth she was from S1. Just now we see she can be caring, helpful, resourceful and self sacrificing as well.

~No profound statement needed~

I think Trixie remains massively narcissistic and will continue to put herself above others whenever she can. Doesn't necessarily make her good or bad, but for the most part, she looks out for number one,.

She and Starlight honestly deserve each other.

Neither good nor bad right now, but she was bad during Magic Duel (inb4 someone metion the Alicorn Amulet taking over her mind, she tried to seriously hurt RD even AFTER taking it off and showed no signs of change in attitude).
