What do you call the device you use to change the TV channels?

My grandparents on my mom's side call it the changer, and my grandparents on my dad's side call it the controls or the remote. I call it the remote as well.

I call it the Remote or the Flicker, not sure is Flicker is British slang in general or it's a specific regional slang though.

In our household it used to get called "The Oofah! or "The Ufah!" I'm not really sure why.
