Will there be a new intro?

Almost every season there had been some changes to the intro but I don't know if this season will. I assumed that the new purple logo from comics and merchandicing could be used but the trailers have the old one. Do you think some characters like Trixie could make to the intro? Or that the theme song could finally be changed (I know, its never going to happen).

I doubt the theme song itself will change, but I can see characters like Trixie, Thorax, and Sunburst making it into the theme song.

I also can see the new purple replacing the old logo in the theme.

That's about all I can see changed with the theme.

OMG, I didn't even think about the possibility of the intro changing! I literally had a eureka moment when I saw the title of this thread. MAN, how I would love for them to change the vocals up a little like they did from season 1 into 2. Maybe have another singer altogether, or just different instrumentals or SOMETHING. Just something different in the audio department (I actually PREFERRED the season 1 rendition as opposed to the ones used from seasons 2-6, so a change would be extremely welcome for me personally).

What we don't know is who will the intro mostly feature since we know little to nothing about that.

Actually, it might. Themes don't change unless the toy molds do, to signify a change of generation, like g1 to g1.5, or g3 to g3.5. Gen 4 just had redesigned molds to usher us into g4.5, so it's very likely that the theme song of the series will change to reflect that.

Well, I think it changes a little bit. Since Starlight is gonna be more important, I think Trixie and Sunburst are gonna be in it. Also they could give Discord and The changelings an own shot.

It's possible. Depends on how much screen time they are planning for all the characters. I am not sure if they will change up the song and singer though, since by now I would imagine they would have let some of that information come out.

There probably will not be an entirely new intro. There will probably just be some new characters and keeping the song itself the same. Though, I do hope there is a new song that isn't cringy like the new one. The current My Little Pony theme song is the second worst theme song in any show, second to only PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures. Something longer, like probably a little less than a minute and a half, would work. I would like the tune to be anything as long as it's different.

The theme song will not change.

 

The speculation comes every year and every year it has not changed and i don't think the song will also not change this time.

 

I am pretty sure it stays for the whole run of the show.

It will never change otherwise it would have done so as far back as season three. If anything, the only thing that is likely to change is maybe a new character or two added to the gathering that occurs after Twilight unfurls her wings.

Gonna say no unfortunately. I was highly expecting a new intro for the past two seasons and we have had only minor alterations.  Seems a totally new intro won't be happening at all if that is any indication, but despite my doubts there is always a possibility. I would love a new intro. Not because I am tired of the current one, just for a change of pace.
