mega thread What is your sexuality ?

It's ok. Being gay is perfectly fine.

I know. I've always had nothing but support for gay people. It's just that I feel like it'll make my life considerably more difficult, and I'm wondering if it's even worth it to come out. Know what I'm saying?

I do Sort of. I am bi, I got over the feelings pretty quickly because The environment I am in has lots of open lgbt people that others don't make a big deal about and that being lgbt is ok. In terms of internal homophobia as I call it I havent got over that myself but at least I've accepted it and am open if someone asked. Even though you may think it's perfectly ok all along to be gay or bi or what have you to people around you, once you go through it yourself it's just really stupid how society's perceptions forces you to feel ashamed

About 4 years ago, I had come realize I'm bisexual. (2 months shy of 4 years actually) Just the actual thought of it over the next few days was fairly alarming. But then I was able to not just accept it, but embrace it. I feel the value of life didn't really change for me, I just now happen to like guys and girls.

It took me years to come to terms with myself and it really isn't easy. It makes life more difficult even when everyone supports you. The best way to "come out" is to wait until a new chapter of your life opens up and then being honest with who you are.

For example, I realized I liked guys halfway through my middle school. My school was full of homophobes and retards, and even though I really wanted to just be myself, I decided to bite my tongue and wait until I finished my middle school. If I were to tell everyone, it would just make things a hundred times more difficult for myself. It made me feel pretty alone on the planet during those last few middle school years but I managed to pull through and chose to go to university.

At that moment I could just be whoever I wanted to be, I could be open about who I was because all those retards from the school were gone now or didn't matter anymore even if they would go to the same university. I would meet a lot new people and if I was just myself from the moment I met them, they won't hate or dislike me even when they realize I'm gay at one moment. Even if they do hate me, well that's just one less idiot in my life trying to mess with me.

I think that's the best way to "come out". Not by being in everyone's faces about it and not by pronouncing it on every website you're on, but by just being yourself and telling people when they ask or letting them figure it out for themselves. You'll get to be yourself and don't need to go through the permanent hassle of telling everyone or annoy everyone with it.

think I'm straight? I haven't had any reason to think otherwise, but then again, I'm only 19. I mean, I've thought about what it would be like to date one of my male friends at one point, but I'm not sure if that was just a curiosity thing or not.

Edit: I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't really understand myself at all.

So for those of you interested in the same sex, what kind of guy/girl do you like the most/find the most attractive? Not saying looks are the most important, just what physical feature you like the most? Nothing inappropriate, of course.

I like guys who look kind of boyish. Not young, but like, they don't have or have little facial hair. Basically, I like guys that don't look overly masculine the most.

What about you?

I'm generally drawn to a female-ish physique in people's appearance which is why I didn't really consider being bisexual or didn't really think about it too much for a very long time. I'm mainly sexually attracted to females and very few males which have to be very feminine. The "problem" is I'm much more emotionally attracted to guys or rather the personality traits or interests that are more common in guys, for example, playing video games, rational thinking, more laid back and chill etc. which makes it more likely for me to actually be in a relationship with a guy. It's weird.

I'm the same way. I'm attracted to this guy I talk to, he's also Bisexual, I like his personality, and he's also pretty good-looking in my eyes. He used to be a member here. He's not interested in dating, but would love a good cuddling<3

Personally, I lean more towards guys being Bi. Don't know anyone IRL I'd love to date, though. :/

In general, I find men that have a kind of lumberjack look to them, or just look "manly", attractive. I also like men who can easily express their emotions and aren't afraid to say what they're thinking. I've actually never dated anyone before the guy I'm with, though.

My my, are you talking about me? *wink wink* Haha but it's pretty much the same here. Lots of muscles and very masculine-looking is a no-no for me. Personally I kind of like people who look young as well. Feminine-looking boys works as well for me. Personality is important for me even when it comes to sexual attraction. I remember when I was young and there was this girl in my class that all my friends kept talking about how hot she was, I agreed that she had good looks but I wasn't attracted to her in the slightest because of her personality.

Felix, I don't know if you remember him, but he was pretty active here from what I could tell.

The only reason I remember his username is because he has the same name as one of my friends. I don't really remember him as a user though..

For women, it's their personality, first and foremost. For men, I prefer personality and their appearance, though I'm not exactly masculine looking myself. I'm too picky with who I want despite not wanting a relationship right now.

I like really femme ladies. Like think Rose Quartz from SU. It's not really like a feature but more like you said, just not masculine people.

I like men who are not to feminine or to masculine. I also like guys who have not to much muscles and are not to fat (but a little bit chubby is nice) or thin. I don't look at hair colors / lenght or skin colors. And I really love beards (but that doesn't mean that I only search for men with beards XD).
