Too much swag for one track. Just damn I want this played at my homecoming, this is really moving for me. Thank you for linking this masterpiece.

College Drop Out Is one of my favorite albums by Kanye West. I find when his mom died Jay Z sort of changed him after his Graduation album.

Nate Dogg is dead, but I still enjoyed his vocals on fifty's song. It gave it that West Coast Rhythm to it.

RIP Nate Dogg. (WEST SIDE!)

This is one of my favored songs by Eminem. I don't think his current songs are as strong as the songs he had in Curtain Call, and The Eminem Show.

Don't know if anybody has already posted them, but this thread needs some Aesop Rock, regardless. I've been on a binge with their music lately.

On impulse, I actually bought that new album Skelethon on vinyl. Seemed good enough, but I still have to give it a good listen through.

I love almost anything that Madlib produces. He's great at picking jazzy samples for his tracks. Though I was dissapointed with Strong Arm Steady, because the rapping on that was really bad, compared to some other artists.

Anyone else get the leak for this? 1Train is way better than F__kin Problems, and Danny Brown just killed it with his verse.

All right, that does it. I officially have acquired a "beef" with Zoop for making a rap thread without me. Judging from my mad hot lingo, surely you must have known I was a denizen of the streets!

It's altogether good, though. Since the man says we have to post some rap up in this vicinity, I give you one of the very few examples of rap I enjoy: Ghostface Killah's stream-of-consciousness rants on 'Supreme Clientele.' It's just like regular rap, except it's okay not to understand it!

Wow, I see somebody dug this thread from the crypt.

I'm glad we can all nod in sync and agree that all sorts of hip hop and rap are straight thuggin'.

Well then... Get educated.

I've been waiting for this thread to have someone reply... Thank you!

I only like this track because it sounds like older Kanye from his Graduation - College Drop Out age. Right now, I feel like he's dropped less emotion on songs lately, but this one makes me reconsider.

That's how I felt with this song. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was a weird Kanye release, and it certainly wasn't my favorite. But this song had that sound that could go on Late Registration, with the more old-time sampling. But don't get me started on how awful Monster was... <_<

Death Grips has been making their way around the hip-hop scene. They're not really like most other artists, though. I personally like them.

I might've posted this before, but I HAVE to post it, maybe again. This is definitely my favorite song of all time, the artist doesn't ever sing about the cliche "money, parties, etc." in all of his songs and they're also awesome.

Here's some more epic ones by him:

Okay plebeians, on the rare occasion I traverse the void from underneath my rock to the surface world of hip-hop and rap, I make sure it's classy as fuck.

You already beat me to it; I discovered Hopsin yesterday, and his raps are quite a hilarity; he clearly has zero identity crisis and is highly direct.

But I don't get why he is on good terms with Tech N9ne. I've heard Tech N9ne before and I don't remember him sounding like that and that particular song almost sounds diss-worthy.

I personally loved the rap scene of the 90's and find that the lyrics at the time were something of pure poetic fluency.

Someone who's overlooked a lot is Big L. I love his "Holdin' It Down" hit.

I have a complete entry level taste in 90's hip-hop. Stuff like De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang... Yeah.

Fun fact: A Tribe Called Quest are apparently very muslim, and their "rarer" unreleased track Georgie Porgie is an anti-gay song.
