What kind of a villian would you like to see next?

Unlikeable Pony

Recommended Posts

Another Starlight style manipulator.

The biggest flaw I have with Rainbow Rocks is that Sunset, someone who manipulated her entire school into turning on each other for her own benefit, didn’t try and turn the Sirens against each other.

I’d love to see two master manipulators go at each other.

Other than that, I really would like more serious Slice of Life stories instead of constantly pushing the power ceiling for the next villain.

Ra's al Ghul type villain. A cunning and powerful antagonist who legitimately feels that one species is too dangerous or harmful to the world and seeks to eliminate it for the betterment of Equestria. Make him or her charismatic and sophisticated and convincing. Perhaps someone who even feels that the Princesses have caused more problems than they solve. Season long arc.

Which VA would you cast for him/her?

J Michael Tatum. Perhaps Jim Cummins or even Clancy Brown if they wanted to add gravitas over sophistication.

I would really like it if we were to get a villain that after being defeated in their first appearance would pretend to be reformed only to be revealed in the finale that they were only pretending all along and see them backstab the main cast.  And in this scenario, the villain wouldn't get reformed for real either.  They would end up getting imprisoned instead.

Given just how many villain reformations we have gotten in the show and how repetitive they have become, I would find this to be a really refreshing breath of fresh air.  Plus I find that this could be a scenario that would really challenge the mane 6 and could lead to them getting some pretty interesting character development.

Plus it could make for a crafty and genre savvy villain, which is something that I always like to see.

Chrysalis is the only villain I could see pulling something like that off. Even then, I won’t  hold my breath for it to happen if she gets redeemed in the premier.

As much as I like the idea of a villain that doesn't want to be reformed and would rather attempt to lay all his cards on the table and go all in, I doubt that'll happen due to the show's consistent message that anyone can change and anything can happen if you/they try hard enough. However, we still have yet to see more of Sombra or Chrysalis and they have the ability to go absolutely crazy with the ideas as to how the villain will attack and such.

My question is, do you all think they'd be willing to tackle something as big as war? Not between two small groups but war between each of Equestria's nations. Personally I think that'd be far too much of a hot potato but it's certainly an interesting concept in my opinion

A villain that lasts is introduced in a premiere, plays the hero into thinking they have won, while they manipulate things behind the scenes throughout the season only to return with a grander plan in the finale, a villain who plays the main characters and someone we see go through the steps of a bigger plan, almost like Starlight, but with 1 plan instead of a revenge one later, and at least one mid season episode to built them up.

Think Toffee from Star vs the Forces of Evil if you have seen that.

Or, a threat that controls an army, that will force Equestria and all the allies they have been building up since season 5 to band together to defeat this threat once and for all.

An Earth Pony starting an Equalist-like uprising ala Amon would be pretty cool.

Take a break from the damn overpowered unicorns for a change

Those are some exquisite heroes and allies you've befriended. It would be a shame if something were to happen to them. Friendship? Harmony? I know them better than you. In fact, I know them so well I could narrate your story. By the by, how's that Hearth's Warming spirit holding up?

Probably a villain that was born of being alone. No family and friends to speak of. Feeling nothing and no sense of emotion. Having to use the pony philosophies of friendship as a tool to act 'normal'. Displaying themselves as a normal pony live among Equestria. As time goes on, they learned more about the mane 6 and the villains they've defeated (directly or indirectly). More and more information they've learned, and more and more solutions they've calculated of the magic these ponies called 'friendship'. They have a thought of something. What if there's a way to contain this power of friendship?

Well that's just my idea. Cliche but could've thought out more. I do wish it would happen someday though.

Whatever creature it is, I want something tactical and aristocratic. Something with sly mannerisms and a diabolical endgame.

I want Jafar for FiM.

Amon used magic, so this Earth pony should have magic. An earth pony using an amulet to get magic as villain would be pretty nice to see.

Also... Grogar. Please Hasbro.

Agreed; fully. I would also like to see one of those cases where we may have one obvious villain, but a 2nd more dangerous villain who lurks in the shadows as he works out his plan, manipulating his puppets until he reveals himself.

Outside of a Sombra return...THIS is what I want to see. Grogar is probably one of the most competent villains in G1, and I would love to see that translated to G4. Not to mention Tambelon was a really creepy and atmospheric place as well...

I hope he will be the villain of the series final in a 4 or 6 parter. I think he was the corrupter of Stygian and Nightmare Moon and that he will corrupt Luna and Celestia. That will be awesome. :orly:

Honestly; one thing that I think would be interesting to see is to have the Royal Sisters and maybe Cadence leaving to investigate and/or take care of one threat (with Grogar being a possibility) while the Mane 6/Starlight/etc deal with a current villain; only to return either a corrupted puppet, empty, or maybe to turn up missing.

Possibilities are endless; my friend. :)

A villain who's actually decent to his/her minions for once.

The pre-Movie comics did have something like that going with The Storm King, but The Movie itself ultimately crapped on that.

I wouldn't say crapped on it, to me that would mean he was like, a jerk to his minions, we don't see him actually interact with them here.

But I agree I would like to see a villain be kind to their minions or at least respectful, Toffee was like that briefly in Star vs the Forces of Evil and if anything it almost made him feel more sinister. Which is odd because you would think it would make them seem more benevolent.

But ye, that would be a good villain.

A villain that forces people to be friends with him/her! Someone with neglection issues that has a magical potion that can force ponies to like him or her! And to be interesting: this pony is an earth pony or a pegasus, not a unicorn. I think we had enough unicorn villains for a while! ;)
